What Would Be The Best View To Request?? Are All Standard Club Rooms On The 6th Floor?? I Was Going To Book The Deluxe Standard Club Room But It's Coming Out Far Too Many$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ & I Don't Think I Would Get An Ap Rate Since I'm Going Between Xmas&NewYear. Also Do All Rooms Have Balcony's:
For the best room to request please see the 2nd post on page1 of this Thread, I have each room view and possible location posted there.

All the Standard Club rooms are all located on the 7th floor and all the rooms at the Lodge have balconies or patios if located on the ground level.

You are correct about the AP rates not being offered between Christmas and New Years.

Picked up paperwork today. Yeah!!!!!:cool1:  :woohoo:

We received a voucher for 90 minutes of Sea Raycer rental for the price of 60 so I decided to see how much rentals were.
I looked at several different websites and couldn't find them anywhere.:confused3
I knew that I had seen them somewhere.
WAIT A MINUTE! The first page of the Wilderness Lodge Post!
Of course, all the info I needed was right there!

Thanks Beckie and everybody else who answers all our questions!

Almost anything you need to know about WL can be found there!:thumbsup2

Hi all! I'm crossposting this on the WL photo thread as well, but would really love to know...

Does anyone have any photos of the view from a standard room? I understand that some overlook the parking lot or loading areas and that's primarily the area that I'm looking for. Are there any really horrible views from standard WL rooms?

I see the Trout Pass pool bar listed on page one. Do they sell snacks or only drinks? Thanks for your help.

They sell mostly drinks.

You can also get yummy popcorn and some types of chips. That's it for food. :)

It is taken from my brick "WALK AROUND THE WORLD" located @ TTC from my nephews. (For a Christmas present one year they told my sister they wanted to buy me DisneyWorld.)

"Aunt Beckie, You put the Magic in Our Hearts 4ever."

I thought and thought then remembered my brick.

Oh, how precious!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for all of the wonderful information in this thread. I cannot wait to stay here next year. :)

I just changed my reservation from a standard courtyard view to a studio at the villas and saved myself $200. But now I'm concerned with what kind of view I'm going to get with the studio. Should I change back to a courtyard view or will I be happy with the studio? I don't want to look out and see a parking lot.

First take a deep breath, you did good. While the views of the Inner Courtyard are beautiful there are many areas where you can sit relaxe and enjoy the view. None of the Villas have parking lot views so don't worry about that.

I have stayed over at the Villas many times, you may want to request a studio near the elevators or overlooking the Hidden Springs Pool.

The rooms at the Wilderness Lodge are approximately 340 sq.feet.

The Studio Villas are 356 square feet and come with one queen bed and a full sleeper sofa. There is a small dining table and two chairs, color TV, and bathroom. Also included are a microwave, coffee maker, under the counter refrigerator, ceiling fan, wet bar, hair dryer, iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner. There will also be a private porch/balcony. The Studio Villa can accommodate a maximum of 4 adults and one child under 3 in a crib.

I am already thinking that the answer is no, but my DH wanted me to ask anyway. We are both brining laptops on our WDW trip in December. Mine is a 19 inch HP and he will be taking a 17 inch. The safes that they have at the WL are not big enough to hold both of them are they? It's been about two years since we were there last, but I just don't think they will fit. He is paranoid about leaving them on the desk, but I just don't think it would be a problem leaving them there.

Hi there. Sorry, but the answer is no. Those safes are not very big. We usually fit my DH's wallet, extra cash, and my small jewelry bag.

Honestly, I would not leave anything of value in plain site. We usually bring, laptop, mp3 player, etc. When we leave the room, we always put them away. We usually just put them in a drawer. Or you can store them in your suitcases.

Hope this helps.

This is why I say PLEASE keep your valuables locked up or out of plain site. There are always bad grapes in every bunch!!

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- A manager at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge hotel was arrested Wednesday for charging $1,200 on a guests’ credit card.

Orange County Sheriff’s deputies said 44 year old Patrick Noze stole a credit card out of a guest’s wallet and charged the card for auto repairs.

The owner of the Orlando mechanic shop Noze went to said he told them he had permission to use the credit card.

Noze was charged with credit card forgery, grand theft by hotel employee, fraudulent use of a credit card, and dealing in stolen property.

A Disney Spokesperson said he has been placed on unpaid administrative leave pending the outcome of the charges.

Police are still investigating at this time.

This thread has helped me so much! I'm staying at the WL in Aug. and this thread has given me a great deal of information. I can't thank everyone enough for all the beautiful pictures and information! We were going to originally stay at CSR (we stayed there years ago) but once dh and I saw the pictures of the WL, we switched! I'm so excited!!!!!!

I read that this morning over in the resort section. It really never entered my mind that a Disney CM would steal a laptop that was out in plain sight on the table until my DH said something about it. In fact last night as we were going to sleep he asked me about it again. I just told him that if he really wanted to be paranoid about it, I would take a time/date stamped picture of it before we left every day. I know if something were to happen to it, it would just spoil the whole trip for me. I don't use it for anything super important. I just use it to play World of Warcraft, and I would be really upset if I couldn't play.

You could always lock them up inside your luggage. They also have locks for laptops that secure them to a larger objects. You could also take them and have them placed in the large safe at guest services.

Good Luck

Is the Club level concierge still offering Yoplait or other yogurts with breakfast? It is a staple of my son's breakfast menu.
