Is the WL still doing movies on the beach? We have stayed there before (Nov. 2008) and never saw that before. Wondering if they will do it during 4th of July week...how would I find out the schedule before I go??

Actually, we did not see the buffalo strip salad while we were there! I would have tried it for sure. I have to say that we didn't take any pics of the lounge area. There wasn't anything out of the ordinary, so we didn't. We stink lol.

SO excited for you that you are doing a bounceback!!!! Great!!! We are booked at the Grand for a 3 night trip for DH's birthday and MVMCP! We got a 40% off pin and we're good to go!! Thanks for the we do go into everything with a positive attitude, and it seems to work out great for us!!

HI fellow WL lovers. Please be sure to check Pete's thread at the top of each forum about Pepsi and the Give Kids the World organization needing help. I know one of you is smart enough to post the thread link. I am too technologicially challenged. Pepsi is giving $250,000.00 dollars to the top two vote winners. GKTW has moved from 13 to 10th since Pete posted this, let's get them moved to the top. I have seen the video on this organization and it looks amazing. YOu just have to go to the Pepsi link and vote, could not be easier. I just did and since I am on these boards every day hopefully I will remember to keep voting every day.

They were doing it in May. Scroll back to early May to see my post with the schedule. I'm sure it changes, but I would think they will continue through the summer.

Been lurking for days, reading WL posts so much, I have forgotten what I have read. Have changed my reservation a few times. First, POR, then WL Woods View, now WL Club Level Standard Room. My question, before my head explodes , (and I am sorry if it has already been answered), is there a room/room request in the WL CL that will allow for both a views of Wishes at MK and the Boat Parade on Bay Lake? I have lost all concept of the layout even with the maps provided, I am so confused.

If not, what request can I make to have the best view of either and also be away from the noise of the lobby? Will be traveling with a 1 year old who is a light sleeper. (I am going to be trying a noise machine thanks to the many posts.)

I have stayed at all level of resorts from All Star Sports to AKL CL. This will be first stay at WL. And DH is fighting me tooth and nail on the upgrade to CL. Looking for best room/experience so I can say 'told you so' (LOL). Traveling 8/8/10-8/13/10 with myself, DH, DS7 and DS1 (sorry, newbie, still working on countdown clock).

Yes, we just got back and there is a schedule in your room telling you what movie is each night.

I just got off of the telephone with a CM who said that they do not book bunk bed rooms unless you have small children??? We stayed in a bunk bed room in AKL and WL and my children are not really small. She said that there is a weight limit and that they only book the rooms to families with small children. Did something change? is there a weight limit for bunk beds? My son, a teenager, had no problem sleeping in a bunk bed at AKL two years ago and I am sure he was nearly 6 feet tall then. Do I need to change resorts?

I saw the video---seriously cool, haven't shown it to the DH yet...it's almost like you're driving right up and walking in! Made me a little "home" sick though! Taking the DGS for short trip in Sept---staying at the All Star Movie Resort, he is CRAZY over Toy Story---sure gonna miss VWL though but keeping my chin up, we'll still be at Disney, and Lord willing the DH and I are headed back the end of November, so we'll just have to make do til then!

I don't understand it. Bunk beds are now a bookable room category. You pay for it. You get it.

Call again or book on line. The only reason you should not be able to book is if they are sold out.

I wouldn't change resorts. I completely agree with calling back and here's why: I was told "no" twice on moving from POP to WL and keeping the gift card promotion. They kept saying that if I interfered at all with my reservation I would lose my promotion. So.... I just called until I got a (female) CM who said "yes, absolutely, I can do that for you!" Honestly, it could just be coincidental, but I always have better luck with females (I'm starting to think the men say no before I finish the question! )

So... I vote to call them back until you get the answer you want

hey! Just got back from our 10 night honeymoon at the lodge! It was amazing and now we're totally hooked. it was our first time at the lodge and we loved it. We lucked out and got everything I requested. We had a bear face room with a king sized bed! We were in room 5073.

Our view

we are now contemplating our next trip. We are considering saving up to stay on our 1 year anniversary (of course we are also talking about staying at a value in between to hold us over!!)

We have never stayed at the WL before so I have been reading this entire thread for days now!! We have never stayed anywhere but the Values. My husband and boys love the Lodge when we dine at Whispering Canyon so I am booking it for them as a surprise!! I have a year and a half to save up for this trip and I hope to be able to stay Club Level as a really big surprise but is Club Level really worth an extra $950 for our 8 nights? I'll have to think on that one before making any sudden decisions but I'd love your opinions.

Anyway, can you help me request a standard room location/area because I have absolutely no idea what requests to note on my reservation. Thank you so much I appreciate your help!!

I've never stayed Club Level, but IMO there's no way it's worth it, especially if you have to save up for it.
