Little Lulu, do you know what the odds of getting a bunk bed room is? Any idea how many bunk beds on CL?

Thanks!

Anyone know if they offer the photopass photo session with a Disney Photopass Photographer at WL? DH and I did this last year at the Beach Club and I want to arrange it for my DD for her wedding day.

Yes, they were advertising this a lot in May. I believe they prefer you to make a reservation. There was a Photopass desk across from the Mercantile and a photographer in the lobby most afternoons. I saw a Photopass photographer by the pool one day taking random photos as they do in the parks and the appointment sessions going on in the lobby and by the waterfalls.

I was wondering if all of the bear face rooms are king rooms. We stayed in one of these rooms for our 1st anniversary. We will be going back next year for our 10th anniversary, but need queen beds since we have a 6 year old now.

Can someone please help? I am trying to make a request for our room, but want to make sure it is for something that actually exists.

Thanks!

:goodvibes

I really enjoyed your trip report and pictures. :thumbsup2

You mentoned in your report taking taxi's to the parks etc . Did you have to call each time you wanted one from the resort or do they usually have them outside waiting?
We have several early ADR's planned in the parks and was thinking this might be a good option.

Once we were walking to catch a bus, then DH said, "forget it, let's get a cab", then we'd headed to the front and only one time was there a taxi. So, from then on, we would call down to the valet and request a cab and they would have one for us by the time it took for us to get down the elevator and walk to the front. :thumbsup2

One couple came up while we were getting our cab and the valet told them it would be 10-15 min to call a cab, and that they should always call them first before coming to the front. ;)

Hi Canyon girl!!!- I have no idea how many bunk beds there are on CL!
One of the questions I never thought of asking them! ack! Make note of that one in the future! Maybe you can find that out when you're there, ok?
But, make a request through CRO that a bunk bed is important.

And this is important, even with staying CL, online checkin is awesome!
And your chances INCREASE with online checkin with your requests.
This is my experience and from what I have been told by the CMs at the resorts. ;)

DisneyAllison-Those "bear face" rooms are like winning the lottery! :cloud9:
The more requests, the less likely you'll get exactly what you want. And you can't really request "bear face" room. Try requesting INNER CY, 2 queens.

HTH! :goodvibes

what is a 'bear face' room?

You have to look at the WL from the water boat and use your imagination, but you can see the "eyes", "nose" and the "arms and paws" of a bear.
The bear face is the inner courtyard, the rooms that are 4/5th floor right off the lobby looking towards the lake.

Look back on page 76, 77, 78? for my pics of the views of a BF room. :)

I haven't heard reports of using online checkin with CL. Do you still "checkin" with the CL people, or do you get your keys and stuff from the front desk in the online checkin line? I had only "read" people saying not to use online checkin with CL, so I'm just curious. This is the first that I've "read" someone say to use it. Anything to increase the chance of room request!!! I currently have a woods view bunk bed room reserved. DH and I really want to upgrade to CL, but there are drawbacks if we don't get bunk beds. Namely, DS(7) not wanting to sleep with DD(11). Then, we have to split them up. On our anniversary trip, we don't want to have to mess with that, so up goes the coin to flip!!! If we upgrade, I will certainly checkin online if it increases (even slightly) our chances of bunk beds. We also have another strike against us. I have to have the special cleaning because whatever they use to wash the sheets/towels in caused me to blister on our last trip. Hence, we will get whatever they have available, I guess.

Thanks!

Besides in our room, is there anyplace else at WL to watch a nationally televised football game? When we are there this fall, DH and DFIL will NOT want to miss the Monday Night Football game. :happytv:

Are there TVs in the Territory Lounge? Or do we have to go all the way to DTD or the BW for a sports bar?

TIA!:flower3:

Not sure about TL, but there are lounges at GF, Poly and CR which may be easier to access than BW or DTD. Might be worth checking into those.

We will be at the WL June 7-12 and booked a woods view room. When I made my room reservation, I requested lobby level and I did on line check in and added ground floor. Does the WL have woods view rooms on the ground floor? If not, what are the best woods view rooms?

it's hard to believe but only 84 days left until we walk through the doors at the WL... we'll miss having Stan greet us but can't wait to say hi to Humphrey

Only 9 more days before we will be arriving at the WLV for the first time. I am so excited! I have been to Disneyland many, many times. But, I have only been to WDW once before at that was over 18 years ago. My husband and sons (7 & 8) have NEVER been there. I picked up my docs from AAA this morning. Still have a lot of things to do before leaving. But, just 9 more days...I can't wait!!!!!

Hope you all have a fantastic time. :cloud9:

Be sure to ask about being Flag Family as soon as you check in. Know your schedule to make sure it won't interfere with any breakfast ADRs. :)

Hi Erin!
This is one I'm quite familiar with, so I'll answer. I just got off the phone with CRO and have the following requests on my reservation (in this order)

1) Ground Floor, Woodsview
2) North Wing
3) Facing the Otter Pond

From what fellow DISers have been advising me, these are pretty awesome rooms. I'm not too worried about view myself, I'm just in a situation where my daughter can't ride elevators.

So in answering your question- Yes, there are nice woodsview rooms on the ground level. (from what I hear...) Hope this helps! Have a great day. -Stace
