The Wilderness Lodge and Villas FAQ (Part 7) Simbas and Tiggers and Humphreys OH MY!

I know how you feel we've been staying at the WL every trip since 2003 and this year we're going to try AKL; I'm sure it will be great also but I'm going to miss the WL!

I'm thinking of droping our free dining at POR. Paying op for our food. We have a few must do adr's. But most our lunches or breakfest. We would cancle a few adr's as we would rather just only have 3-4 ts meals in our 10 day stay. This would give us more freedon.

We have stayed at WL before but it has been awhile. Do the have movies at the resort? Do they have any activities for the kids. Last time we were there it was pre-kids.
Thanks

Just returned from our 5 night stay at WL (5/30-6/4). This was our second time there, and it was just as good as the first time.

We had room 6016 (woods/bunkbed). Great view of the castle through the trees and the Contemporary.

Only complaint my wife had was the size of the pillows. They are really small compared to a normal pillow, and we are not quite sure what the deal is with that.

Bus service was pretty good. I do not think we waited more than 10 minutes for a bus pickup at the hotel in either the morning or afternoon. The boat service to both MK and the Contemporary was also good.

We were planning on going to the pool on Thursday afternoon, but it stormed. Ended up in the Cub's Den with the kids for a little while, and that worked out great. They enjoyed doing a craft and playing with all the toys.

I do not think we will ever stay anywhere else again.

Did you make any room requests, or was it completely :wizard:

We have bunk beds/woods view also. Too bad you can't bequeath us the room!

We requested north wing overlooking otter pond as high as possible. That is all we put on the reservation. Even if we did not get a view, we like the north wing because it is easier to get to and from Roaring Forks as well as the boat dock.

Thanks. I'm going to call today and request the exact same thing! :thumbsup2

Just a helpful suggestion PrincessArlena'sDad-
If you haven't called already, I would do so as soon as possible because when I called and requested "North wing/Otterpond, as LOW a level as possible," she told me that the "HIGH as possible/North Wing/Otter pond requests were the most popular and hardest to make everyone happy. but... with any luck, you've already called, so this is a done deal. :thumbsup2 I hope you get your dream room! (we'll be WAY down on the bottom floor, living vicariously through you!) :woohoo:

I made my requests! :cool1:

The CM said I was the 2nd call today that had this same request, word for word. He wanted to know which online forum was discussing this today :lmao:

So, who else called today?

Well maybe I should call today also. JK
I really don't care where I'm at as long as we aren't on the bottom floor.

Our the woods/view bunkbed rooms spread out all over the resort? Last time we were at WL was almost 6 years ago in a standard room. We were overlooking the service area but it never bothered us.

I heard the woods/bunk rooms are spread all over the resort. If you don't want ground floor, you should call and make that request.

What should I ask for when I call? Should I just ask for upper floor?

You could just say, "Anything but the first floor."

You could also say, "As high as possible."

I think both will give you an equally good chance of not getting a first floor, but the latter will give you a better chance of being high up.

so funny. I've been begging for ground floor! (I'll tell you what- they put you in ground floor room- I'll trade with you) :rotfl:

krmlaw- I snagged this photo from the Disney Food Pics Thread for ya, enjoy!
