Hey All, just wanted to post to let you know that I am OK...just busy and kind of in a funk about DB. They did another series of tests and still did not pin point anything but did find something on the brain. They moved him to another hospital but not the better one...I think they want to keep him in the state of VT. He still has a fever and is not coming out of sedation. It just doesn't sound good.

Hugs to everyone else too. I am sorry I am not a better friend right now...am I getting another cold sore too. I guess if that is the way the stress is coming out, I am fine with it. It is better than getting sick.

Hi all! Popping in really quick. I'm trying to get caught up; spent my entire lunch hour and still have not read everything yet.

Thanks everyone for the cards! I so love getting the pics of all the kids, and getting to put faces to the names. Even my 20 yo daughter is excited to check the mail and see what cards have arrived!

Aimee - glad you are having a good time, hope you feel better.

Becky and Laura - glad you all are home safe.

Everyone in the snowy weather, stay warm and safe. Everyone not feeling well, I hope you feel better soon.

You all have made me smile "listening" to your bickering back and forth. It does remind that we are all family. The best kind., We picked one another.

Hugs to all that need it. I know Christmas is a difficult time for some, and I pray that you will get thru it as painless as possible.

My family for a long time has divided the cooking duties. As to who spends Christmas where, I just go with the flow. My niece hosts Christmas for our family as well as her husband's family. I've made it very clear to both my kids that we can celebrate whenever the time works out for everyone. DD spends time with her boyfriend's family, and DS spends time with DIL family. This year we may not even get together until new years because DIL's brother is in town with his new wife (he's in the Navy, stationed somewhere on the east coast and soon shipping overseas). So I know she wants to spend as much time with him as possible.

Afternoon all of my friends,

I so apoligize for again not catching up with all of you - please forgive me. I will be better - I promise!!

Well round #2 is to hit late tonight into Christmas Day. We are forcasted to get 10 -12 + inches of snow with blizzard conditions. The ice is to start tonight. I am just praying that there is no ice because if there is we will likely lose electricity. And with living on a farm that is not a good thing. Can't even flush the toilet. We will have to chip ice and hand carry water to the cows and horses. Not a fun thing to do but oh so necessary. They can stand the snow and cold as long as there is water and food, they won't freeze to death. So my Christmas is on hold for the time being and we are all holding our breath to see what will really happen. It could be a very long next 3 days. Please say a prayer for us. I will check in when and if I can.

WFDT ~ Beef stew is in the crockpot and homemade bread in the oven. Everyone can grab what they can - when they can.

If by chance I can't get back on please have a Very Merry Christmas. You all are so dear to me and I love you all.

Sheryl- I hope my earlier post didn't sound like you were wrong to be upset about your Christmas plans, I just want you to able to enjoy your Christmas and not miss out on all the fun. I'm being a little grinchy myself, my inlaws always shrug their noses at the wine I buy, they only drink the wine they bring (I didn't think the hostess was required to open the wine brought as a gift) so this Christmas eve I'm not providing wine, I hope they like budwieser!

Ellen- I hope the ice isn't to bad. A few years ago before Christmas we went seven days without power. We have well water so it meant flushing the toilet with buckets. I would stay up all night praying the pipes didn't freeze, since we also didn't have heat. Of course we didn't have to lug any water to animals. Good luck to you.

Vickie- It's okay you didn't cook, you still took the time to get something nice, and that really is what matters.

Lauren- I really don't know what to say, my thoughts are with your family.

I just NOW realized yesterday was Monday.

WFD yesterday was supposed to be red beans & rice but we had frozen pizza. (Shhh....we were not going to eat any of that all month. )

WFD today is cheeseburgers with baked french fries.

Maybe tomorrow we'll pretend it's Monday.

I'm going to look on allrecipes.com for some potato recipes.

Lauren - Sorry to hear about your brother's condition.

Ellen - I hope your weather is not as bad as predicted. Stay warm and safe, and I hope that you don't lose power!

Every year I swear I am going to start Christmas shopping in January and have yet to do it! It is nuts out there! I meant to go out during lunch and couldn't, tomorrow morning I am going on my way to work.

Dinner tonight is a chicken pot pie. And maybe some hard liquor!

I’m watching Rod Stewart on Rachael Ray’s show, LOVE him!!!!!!!

Woke up with a sore throat & feeling yucky.

Kat,I love that you love Rod,I love him too, is a MASSIVE Celtic fan.

When he plays there is a huge Celtic badge on the centre of his stage.
He also has a full size football pitch in his garden with a Celtic Locker room complete with full team kit and when he is in the states he gets up at silly o'clock to watch The Hoops play.....AND Ive sat on his seat for life at Celtic Park !!

My prayers are with you! There's so much we take for granted. I never even gave a thought to how much work there would be on a farm without electricity! I hope all goes well with you, and you are able to have a Merry Christmas.
