Not sure about dinner tonight. We're all tired of turkey! I think I'll send a bunch with Alan for lunch today, so I can make something new for dinner. I'm thinking something along the lines of a sausage/white bean/tomato skillet meal.

I need to call the pediatrician to see if I can get Mary in today. She has developed a rash all over her chest/stomach area, and it's spreading to her back. I've tried Benedryl liquid and cream and it's not going away. She's scratching it so much, it's starting to bleed in places. So, off to the doctor we go!

Everyone's heading to the doctor today, it seems. Ann, Lauri and Glynis -- I hope all goes well. Ann -- My last doctor visit was with someone new as well. My previous doctor took a new position, so she couldn't carry the same number of primary care patients. I didn't like my new doctor nearly as much. I hope you found someone who you like.

Robin -- Is your DH going to let you watch Alton Brown instead of the Pats?? I vote for pot pie too.

Glynis -- A little girl on my street had a rash all over her torso. It turned out to be strep. She didn't have a fever, but she did have a sore throat.

Maria -- Sweet potato gnocchi sounds awesome. I sent you a PM.

Dinner tonight will be something quick because Caili has skating. I still have enough turkey for one more sandwich, but Robin reminded me that pot pie would be a much better use for it. If I make pasta, the kids will be happy, so I will probably just do that.

Kathy, Can you believe we have to go sign legal papers at 5:30 tomorrow night! I was mad & fussed at the poor DH! Don't these people know the Saints are playing the biggest game ever?

I'm sorry I haven't been able to keep up that much this weekend. Caili and I had a wonderful time at the Nutcracker today. She really went all out on her outfit...even her shoes were gold and sparkly. Her friend from skating who was in the show had a great part and she was terrific. I'm not even related to that little girl, but seeing her shine on stage was so heart-warming. Okay, I sort of cried. Caili is dancing with Boston Ballet this year, so she said she MIGHT be in the Nutcracker someday.

Laura, Caili has done so well with her skating that I'm sure if she wants to dance in the Nutcracker, she certainly will.

I the Nutcracker. When I was about Caili's age, my parents splurged and took me and my little sister to see it when it was in town. I remember I wore a green velvet dress. Sometime in the first half, I got sick. Now - all I remember was being angry that my parents made us leave after all that, and I felt guilty for wasting my parents money on tickets Evidently, I was really really sick and had puke all down my dress and obviously could NOT sit through the remainder of the show but all I remember was having to leave against my will

Oh my gosh, you poor thing! Your poor parents!

Yesterday was productive we got some decorating down. I managed to drag Mr Gruppy to the mall to get boots and shoes. 3 pair for $130.00 including tax since 2 of them where for Big foot I think I did really well.

You did better than I can manage. I can't get Patrick anywhere near a store that doesn't sell video games, etc. I've finally thrown up my hands in defeat and told Kenny that clothing Patrick was now his responsibility.

I hope it goes well. Nice to see you taking care of yourself. I know that's hard with two little ones.

Not to much new here but that is good. Mother in law is at Mayo clinic and I'm on the way to Dr I have had a bump the size of a marble appear on my ankle top of the foot. Hurts like crazy to put shoe on so were going to find out whats going on.

I was supposed to go to the gyno this morning. But I went back to bed instead. I'm just in too much of a funk to psyche myself up for that visit. I absolutely hate,dread, hate going to the gynecologist!

I have got to get some stuff done tonight, had to sleep on the daybed last night because I had so much stuff on my bed, clothes and Christmas stuff, I didn't feel like cleaning it off. Or I should say, I was up late on the computer and didn't do it.

Hello everyone! I am really tired today. I am always so tired after a visit to my inlaws...the driving gets to me and they have a cat to which I am completely allergic. I am trying to finalize a presentation that I am creating for my boss but my brain is so foggy, so I thought I would take a break and get caught up here.

Glynis, I hope Mary feels better soon.

WFD tonight: salmon. Not sure how I am cooking it yet. I think with a miso crust.

I am SO not looking forward to the football game tonight. I am already tired and having to stay up so late is going to be a bear!

Aimee, Greg brought home a Blu Ray player yesterday........I had no idea they also worked as a music system. We used it a today but I will never be able to make it play...

I finally understand pot pie!!! The last time I made it, I started from scratch.. no leftovers. Laura had tried to give me her recipe but she always started with leftover chicken & gravy. OMG so much easier!!! Started sauteing some veggies, added gravy & some white wine. Chopped up whatever veggies I had in the house, added them & the turkey. I'll top with a pillsbury pie crust, after I pick up A. I think it's going to be tastier too!

Aimee- I first felt it about 6 months ago and yes thats why I went to Dr. They think its a cyst hope nothing worse but won't know for sure till it is surgically removed and then biopsied.

Also found out I have pneumonia well now I know why I have been feeling ucky and so tired. ot the best day so there is only one way to go from here and that is UP or GET BETTER.

It is a shrimp mixture, kind of like what is on shrimp toast, that is wrapped in rice paper, then deep fried. It looks like an old fashioned drawstring purse.

All I can envision is these little shrimps swimming around with shoulder bags

Hated her!!! She basically in a round about way made called me Shamu!!!!!!
I have never had a dr. harp on the weight issue so much. I have never been smaller than a size 14. So I am use to hearing this from Drs , it is their job. But my goodness...she was amazing. I think she was about 25 and weighed about 100lbs soaking wet. I think next year I will try another Dr. in the practice.

DH got a call this morning from the company he interviewed with. They sent him for his drug test. We are hoping he gets and offer by the end of the week. Please keep him in your prayers. He is so unhappy, he got paged tonight and is ready to throw in the towel and tell them to shove his current job.

Lunch was turkey noodle ...I was eyeballing DS's nuggets!!!!!
