You just had an audit not long ago, why are they back so darn soon?????

I am still hanging in. I have a hair appointment today, my parents are watching DS while I go. WE will have lunch there then I am coming home for a nap. DS did not allow me to get more than 3-4 hours last night. I told DH watch me have this baby today because I am exhausted.

WFD- boneless pork chops and who knows what else.

Good Morning!

I didn't get a chance to finish my post yesterday. The puppy dog has been wanting extra attention lately. It's like I have 2 babiies. Then "I'm a Celebrity" and "Cake Boss" came on and it was all over. Did anyone catch Cake Boss last night? That bride was such a loon!!!

I still have alot of stuff to do around here. My back is a bit out of whack today but I have to get on the treadmill and on track with my eating. I counted points and did so well yesterday and then we had ice cream cake from Tom's bday. There is only a small piece left and I will NOT be eating that today.

I am trying to clean out the freezer and we have alot of pork in there. Tonight I will be making sausage, peppers and onions over pasta with a big salad.

***********
Gretchen, So sorry that your Dad had a rough weekend and Hailey is sick. I keep your Dad and your family in my prayers. I hope Hailey is better now.

Vickie, I hope today is better for you than yesterday! I am glad your Boy is so excited for the trip and his show went well.

Marisa, How did you make out yesterday?

Kat, Hope those auditors don't give you a hard time.

***********
OK, back to the grind. Have a great day all!

Marisa~ still waiting to hear doctor news from this morning.
Sorry I didnt reply yesterday. I was so overwhelmed by the doctor appointment and work that I just was out of sorts :confused3

I went to the doctor at 9:30 and was his first appointment of the day. He was in rare form and I just loved him. He really took alot of time with me and explained all my "issues" and options.

I have 3 main issues. One can be fixed, two cannot. The first issues is the torn miniscus and broken cartilidge. That is all going to be fixed Wednesday the 24th. He said the miniscus is shredded so he is going to repair it.

The second issue started when he asked if I had other issues with my joints. I told him I really didnt. He had me lay down and was playing with my elbow. He kept asking if it hurt, and I kept saying no. He said it was DISLOCATED!!! :scared1: I couldnt believe it. He checked the other and same basic thing. Turns out they arent dislocated, I have hyper extended joints. I thought I was just double jointed but I guess that all my joints bend further than they should. That is causing my knees to pop out, and that explains why my hips keep popping out.

The third issue is that God gave me horrible joints and "floppy" ligaments. They are just not strong enough to hold my joints in place so my knee caps slip all the time. So basically I am a big ole mess! He said there is nothing I can do except be careful. No more classes at the gym, no treadmill, and nothing that causes impact on my knees. He said that I was made this way and other surgeons might try to fix it, but you cant really fix it.

So thats basically it, and I went for bloodwork this morning, I have a pre-op physical tomorrow at 10:30 and surgery next week.

Can you see why I was exhausted?

Kat- auditors....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Don't worry about the thread or posting, just take care of what you need to do.

Ann- get you hair done, maybe your tootsies and then just rest. When Emma decides to make her appearance you need to be rested and gorgeous!

Lauren- puppies, babies, husbands......I hear ya!

Aimee- with your schedule it is a wonder that you are still standing!

Laura- no one makes food like Becky! Saturday night I caved and ordered fish and chips. It was a beer battered white fish and wicked good! I told Buddy it looked like the Liam sister's fish fry....and that was the highest compliment the I could have given it!

Dinner last night was horrible. The sugar peas were mushy, the potatoes were :confused3 and the gravy was :scared:. Today is a crazy day, I don't have Nola. Kady's school system has cases of H1N1. Today is her talent show and I intended to take Nola. We called the pediatrician, Nola and Kady go to the same Dr, and he said Nola is too little to be exposed in such close quarters so Welby stayed home so that I would not miss the show. She is not an alarmist, thank goodness. I also called Gail, and she said just take the same precautions that anyone would to prevent the common cold. Don't take Nola in to pick Kady up as it is a very crowded hallway/lobby area swarming with adults and little one and no talent show. And "Kady shouldn't be slobbering all over her anyway." :rotfl: No problem there! The slobberer is Nola :rotfl2:

I am meeting Buddy's boss for coffee then running errands and cleaning up and then the talent show. I want to have a pedi and want Marisa to repair my nails which I have already cracked .......... Sorry Marisa :flower3:... and get some ironing done. I also want to head to West Farms for shoes. ANd make Buddy dinner. Poor guy said not to worry about him....he would eat the rest of the yucky dinner from yesterday :scared:. No.

Good Morning !
Busy day here today, my son gets out at 11 today from school and is suppose to bring 5 friends home for lunch. So pretty much everything I bought yesterday at the store will be gone. It will look like locusts invaded my kitchen.

Vickie- hope your better today, I sent you a PM.

Marisa- how did you make out yesterday ?

Ann-- Get some rest, any day now !!

Maria-- You must be so excited. Just a few days you will be sipping champagne at the bar!!

Kathy--My husband has auditors this week too, He hates when they come in, it ties up the whole day.Hang in there.

Aimee- feel better, you do keep long hours.

Laura- you also have a very busy schedule. I also love brie and bread with a nice glass of wine.

Nancy-- . Until this crazy schedule this week ends I don't have time to cook a big meal its been quick stuff for me. I'm going to look into that plan you and Marisa were talking about the other day,

Lauren-- that video Tom send me is so funny. Try and take it easy and rest your back today. If you need me call.

Thats it for me now, time to hit the shower! have a good day!

Marisa-- We must have been posting at the same time. Sorry you didn't get better news yesterday, try to rest today.

Charlene, good luck with the swarm of Locust!!!:rotfl: I totally know what you mean because I have six older brothers, growing up my DM use to have to hide junk food to make it last more than one day. We had a joke that my DB, Paul, could sniff them out.

Lauren, how is you back???

Nancy, enjoy the talent show today. Funny you said when the baby comes I need to be rested and gorgeous. My DH just doesn't get why I am so excited to have my hair cut today. He told me to cancel so I can rest. I said do you realize how long it maybe till I get pampered again!

Marisa, ouch...I hope the surgery next week gives you relief. Good luck with it, just in case I am not on to wish you well.

Aimee, hope you are feeling a bit better today. I did not know you had Crohn's! My SIL does and it is not fun.

Marilyn, :woohoo: you must be so thrilled computer is running good again.

.

That sounds just like my son! 6 OLDER BROTHERS!:scared1:

I am really not caught up and I have to hurry and get in the shower to take the kids to the free movie this morning. Dinner last night was supposed to be grilled steaks-but my meat wasn't defrosted in time. So we had a frozen Bertolli meal instead. Wasn't bad, but wasn't steak either. Tonight will be whatever my mom decides to make.

Kathy--guess I'll be buying you that drink! Your Tigers played great last night! Congrats! I hope they go all the way!

Okay, I need to boogie! Hope everyone has a great Tuesday

Hey friends,

Sorry I haven't been keeping up lately. During the week, I've been busy keeping Alexis busy. The weekend was spent going out to eat, church & relaxing. Today I'm taking her for a singing "audition" with Louisiana Kids.
I have loaded our trips pics into the computer but not into photobucket or FB yet.

Marisa, I am so sorry that you have more joint troubles! That really stinks, I'll be praying for you!

Lauren, Please take it easy on the treadmill! If you push yourself too hard, you are going to end flat on your back! Please listen, I have too much experience with this. ;)

Lindsay, I think that is great that you've learned how to fix Mimi's dish! :goodvibes:thumbsup2

Nan, Have fun at the talent show!

Kat, I'm sorry you have auditors in again! :sad1:

Charlene, Prayers sent for the invading locusts! ;)

Dinner last night was Chris' Tomato Corn soup & a yummy salad. I have a bunch of home grown vegetables a few are mine, my brother sent some yummy tomatoes & Rickie loaded me up with green beans, banana & jalapeno peppers. Dinner will most likely be some kind of salad.

Kathy -- Good luck with the auditor. That happens at my mom's place sometimes where they show up twice in a short timeframe. She just looks at it like once they are gone, she won't see them again for a long time. Plus, she is free to schedule vacations.

Ann -- Enjoy your haircut! Then get some rest and tell Emma to stay comfortable until you get some sleep.

Lauren -- Take it easy on the treadmill. You don't want to re-injure your back.

Marisa -- I'm sorry you got some bad news from the doctor. Listen to him, and take it easy.

Nancy -- Good luck to Kady today. Bring Purell.

Aimee -- I hope you are feeling better today.

Sheryl -- Good luck to Alexis too! If she sings like I've seen her perform on FB, she is a shoo-in.

Charlene -- I hope you still have food left for dinner after the invasion.

I am grilling chicken for tonight -- there is still no sun here, but it isn't raining -- and I think I'll make a creamy avocado sauce to go with it, rice and green beans.

Sorry I didnt reply yesterday. I was so overwhelmed by the doctor appointment and work that I just was out of sorts :confused3
Can you see why I was exhausted?

I'm so sorry all of this is going on! I really hoped you would have "simple" answers, have your surgery & move on. Of course you were exhausted, that is so much to take in:hug:
Marisa, you are in my prayers....please let me know if I can help in any way.

Charlene~ ducks now locust!!!!

Nan~ Didn't you just buy shoes Sunday;)

Kat~ good luck with the audit:scared1:

Ann~ wonderful to chat with you!!!!! Glad you making it to your hair appointment.
Everyone, I was able to speak to Luke!!!! What a precious little boy, he made my heart melt.

Sheryl, I have missed you. ood Luck to Alexis!

Aimee~ please feel better!

Dinner last night was chicken & spinach sausage, roasted veggies & black, pink, yellow & orange tomatoes with fresh basil & olive oil.

Tonight, I hope to start cleaning out the fridge, goat cheese, fruit, pepperoni & some left over chicken from Sunday night.

BBL

Hi Ladies!

Charlene- locusts indeed ;) I loved it when Dan had his friends over but my refrigerator was always empty after they left! Marisa had her friends but they liked flavored coffee and cappuccino so I bought a cappuccino maker adn spent a fortune on coffee. But they were at my house and not somewhere else so it was all good!

Ann- Men!

Sheryl- any pics of the audition possible?

Stephanie- our weather was supposed to be sunny today but it is overcast again. No grilling here either

I am looking at backup plans in case it rains all weekend. I thought Buddy would want to cancel our long weekend but he really wants to go. I found a tour of NBC Studios that also brings you to movie sets, I think he would like that. SO that could be Friday or Sunday.

The Intrepid will take about 3 hours. There is no set time for this tour so any day is fine.

I also saw a dinner cruise that I thought we would like on Saturday night. I am worried that it may be rainy, do you think it would be fine even if it is drizzly or something?

Now I am looking at restaurants too. Apparently the guys where Buddy works try to "outpoor" each other :sad2:. Welby says she has heard Brian and Buddy "comparing notes". Anyway, Buddy's boss does not know him well and was sharing "blue collar areas" with me. I wanted to kick my husband but he needs his knees to drive so he is safe for now, but I am looking for some suggestions for dinner, either before a show or after.

I saw a few places that looked good but I don't have any firsthand knowledge,

Angus McIndoe
Heartland Brewery
Hurley's Steak and seafood
Platforma

also a cabaret Don't tell Mama.

Anyone heard good or bad?

----

Reality is setting in...my stepson just called to wish me well. Very sweet, both kids (22 & 20) are so excited and really wanted a little sister.

Aw thats is so cool they are excited.....so am I !! :yay:

Have a nice day getting pampered.

I just got in and don't feel well; I can't decide if it's just lack of sleep, stress, Crohns, or I'm coming down with something. Hopefully I'll be recovered in the morning.

I hope you are feeling better today .

Sorry I didnt reply yesterday. I was so overwhelmed by the doctor appointment and work that I just was out of sorts :confused3

Oh Im so sorry its not a straight forward fix for you.

Just hope that your surgery helps in some way.

Today I'm taking her for a singing "audition" with Louisiana Kids.
I have loaded our trips pics into the computer but not into photobucket or FB yet.

Good vibes ower the water for the audition.

Good Morning !

:lmao: good luck.

The Boy has the family nick name of " The Bucket " because he eats everything and is never full.

Geez what sour puss ive been here and on F.B !!

Sorry and thanks for the hugs.

Just a rough week, some things that I hoped would be sorted with my surgery are..well..not sorted.

Its also my dads anniversary tomorrow so i guess im just a wee bit doon.

Any ways Ive givin myself a kick up the bahookie and no more pity parties at my bit.

The boy is off school sick today and we had watched the Disney planning DVD twice but 12 o'clock.

He has said " I cant wait till enter any thing Disney here " about 20 times a day .

I remember know why we waited to tell him.:rotfl2:

Have a good day lassies BBL xx

Quick post...

Marisa,

Nancy, I have only been to Churrascaria Plataforma and loved it. Been several times. I also love Virgil's BBQ and Carmines but Maria is better in the city.

BBL

Lauren- I love Virgils! I was thinking of Carmine's as well but worry that Buddy won't like it. He thinks that anyone else's sauce but mine is out of a can:confused3 Now I am not Italian but I make a good sauce, still there is no way I cannot compete with the real deal so I have no idea why he thinks that. I am not complaining though, he could be whining that I don't make as good a sauce as his Mother :lmao:. My first husband compared my food to his Mom's all of the time and I hated that!
