Good morning!

Kady'sMom- That is just sick what the in-laws are doing. And those photos are precious! She looks so beautiful!

Aimee - I hope you can get the iron issue resolved soon.

Shovan - Those food photos were nice. I also like your table. Is prosciutto the really salty meat? One time this lady was in the store and ranting about how she had to cut back on her salt intake to the meat guy. Then she orders a pound of that meat, and he refused to sell it to her!

Oh and I hope Bob feels better about work and the aide situation gets worked out.

liamsaunt - The shoe issue is frustrating while you're dealing with it, but it makes for a funny story later!

Maria - Any weekend in June should work for me. You said not Memorial Day and you are leaving the 19th, so I guess that leaves the 6/7 or 13/14. You get back the day before I leave, so that won't work.

I know I missed a bunch; I read it all but couldn't comment on all of it.

I am still not feeling well but I don't think it's the flu. I am really really congested in my face/sinuses and in my lungs. I was so congested that I woke up at 2:45 today. Fortunately, I was able to get back to sleep but I'm feeling pretty lousy still.

But! I am excited because I sent in that apartment application in on Friday and I got a call yesterday that they received it and they have a unit for me for July, provided all the paperwork is successfully processed. It's a first floor unit and it has an attached garage! I've never lived in an apartment lower than the 3rd floor. I think I'm going to feel short!

I am going to try and catch up now…please forgive me if I miss something.

Dinner for us will be ravioli, Italian bread and salad. Andrew’s Spring Concert is tonight so it has to be quick.

Andrew did well at the docs…he is off the chart as far and height and weight. He is almost 5’5” and 139#s at 11. Where did my little boy go?

The gym was great! I forgot how much I loved nautilus. Going back today.

Thank you for keeping my Mom and all of us in your thoughts and prayers. On a happier note, I think I have the World’s happiest baby! He was so good in the gym day care (mostly slept) and then had a ball playing with his play mat all day. Laughing and cooing up a storm. I did one thing that I did with Andrew yesterday and that was add 1 TBS of cereal to his nighttime bottle and he slept from about 10pm – 5:15am!!! He is now sitting next to me smiling…

Bethany, good to see you back. I hope you are feeling better. Soon, my friend, you will be a NOLA girl!

Maria, Your trip is going to be amazing! Can’t wait for that trippie. Keeping you, Greg, your Mom and Leona in my prayers. So great to hear you will be an Auntie again!!! I am up for a meet…just tell me where and when! When are you moving?

Kathy, Kyle is going to have an amazing summer! Working and playing ball with a beautiful girl to boot! He is such a great kid…great job Mom!

I can't wait for the weekend, haven't been there in years, we have a timeshare. They did renovations on them so I am excited to see what they did. It will be me, DM, sis, her DH and my two neices.

Really can't wait because we are going to the Phillips seafood buffet for dinner one night. Lots of crablegs and steamed shrimp!

Tonight is leftovers because Kady has dance yet again. I cant wait until it is over.

I loved Kadys flowers. I know the traditional thing is the veil, but I just cant do it. Kady would have thrown a fit with the veil and it would have just been a crazy mess, but she loved the flowers and didnt fight me a bit with wearing them.

Becky I actually wore my mismatched shoes all day through 2 presentations were I was walking around and talking, walking throughout the office, out to lunch. Then at the end of the day getting on the elevator I noticed I was limping and looked down and I now only dress in the light and triple check my clothes before leaving the house

my youngest DN is allergic to seafood.

Is she allergic to all seafood or just shellfish? Liam can eat fish, but not shrimp, crab or lobster.

Bethany -- Great news on the apartment! Everything is falling into place for you.

Lauren -- Wow, Andrew is so tall! He is bigger than I am too. Good luck to him at the concert tonight. I am happy for you that Thomas is such a good baby. That makes things so much easier. I never did the cereal in the bottle, but the pediatrician did start Liam on cereal early because he was growing so fast. Have fun at the gym!

The kids have dentist appointments this afternoon, so I am picking them up from school early. Hopefully, all will go well, and we will get back in time for me to cook dinner. It is a beautiful day here, so it will be something on the grill.

Morning Y'all,

It's a beautiful day here! Breezy,cool & LOW humidity, something we don't get much of. I'm feeling good today, surprising cus I'm not sleeping but I'm not tired either. Must be the steroids. Today is the last full day of school for Alexis. Tomorrow is Kindg. Graduation Mass. then we'll probably go out for brunch. I'm happy I will have her home with me for little over a month. Then around my surgery date, she'll start a whole slew of summer camps.

Bob got a call back from the agency. They didn't know anything about it, it took them all day to contact her. All she said was she'd been very sick & would be here tonight! Since they didn't have anyone else to come out, Bob says we need to see if she shows & just "suck it up". I guess we don't have any other options there.

Lindsay My grandmother used to make her biscuits with cream I think they make them very tender. I used to love when she put cracklings in there too Not very healthy but oh well you have to die from something.

I'm not the pirate! The last time the child dusted, she took 20 bucks out of my wallet & totally expected me to pay her that much!

Biscuits with cracklings! Was your grandmother a southerner?? Bob's grandmother used to make cracklings but I don't think she ever put them in biscuits! Now the pig lard, she used that in everything!

I guess Buddy and I are in the minority. We loved Kady's hair but we would have loved a veil.

Nan, Kady couldn't have been more beautiful! I know you & Buddy feel blessed to have her, and well you should.

I'm good, just busy time at work. I feel like I spend all day bent over at my desk and the more I get done, the more there is to do! By the end of the day I am just out of it!

I am going away this weekend so I am going to try and get the majority packed tonight so that I can stay late the rest of the week and get stuff done. I want to be able to leave by 1 on Friday and hopefully beat traffic, I'm going to Ocean City.

Marilyn, Hope you're weekend helps you feel rested. It sounds like you could really use the break.

Proscuitto is salty & a little dryer than ham. Sort of a concentrated ham flavor.

You must be feeling well to manage that recap!! I'm glad you enjoyed the gym, that is really going to get you back to your old self quickly! Congrats on the World's happiest baby too! I remember going back to the gym after Angelina was born. I couldn't keep it up! I could hear her wailing through out the whole gym! It made me sick to my stomach.

And wow Andrew is tall! I don't know how you keep food in the house for him!


No cooking tonight. I made a big pot of butter beans & collard greens last night. DH was so happy & said he'd could eat that all week! Sorry no pics, him licking the plate was not a pretty sight!

Tonight we are having orange beef in the crockpot - I'm serving it with rice and eggrolls. To make it more diet friendly, I'm throwing in a BUNCH of veggies, since the beef is so high in calories.

My grandmother was not southern. She came from Serbia she was a wonderful cook. I learned my love of cooking from her. She used chicken for the cracklings my dad and I would fight for them. I won of course most of the time

Since this seems to be an ongoing thing I wonder if you are allergic to mold. Did you get better while you were away from home?

Shellfish, she can eat and loves fish. I always think of fish as fish and everything else as seafood.

We just recently found out that Pei Wei makes their LoMein with Oyster Sauce. She usually gets the Honey Chicken and one time got the LoMein then got sick. There is nothing anywhere that says that it has a shellfish sauce in it.
