Hi Everyone! Caili's recitals went well yesterday. She looked so pretty. I also got word from Greg that he passed Ranger School, so he is graduating Thursday. :cool1:

Glad the recital went well and congratulations to Greg.

Becky- Happy Belated Birthday

Nancy, Marisa and Kady- very pretty! And congratulations!

I missed lots, so sleepy again today that I just could not concentrate on anything.

Dinner tonight will be salmon, roasted veggies and basmati rice. The rice is a packaged thing from Trader Joes, first time I have made rice that turned out the way it was supposed to. :yay:It was really good, has bits of veggies in it.

Heading to the store, have to stop at Costco to get eggs for my DM and TJ's for some essentuals!

A quick check in before we have to head out to a meeting at the high school.

Marissa Kady is so beautiful. I love the flowers. Back in the day when I made my first communion we had to wear veils. :bride:

Sheryl Isn't there child labor laws 50 cents!pirate: does Alexis have a pension should I talk to someone at work to represent her in labor negotitations? Sorry I couldn't resist.

Maria hug::hug: For you I know how hard this is for you. You time is coming keep strong and have faith.

Lindsay My grandmother used to make her biscuits with cream I think they make them very tender. I used to love when she put cracklings in there too :worship: Not very healthy but oh well you have to die from something. ;)

Scotlas We do know that your "The Boy" is filled with love. I call Alex the Boy also I would hug and kiss him right now if he would only hold still :rotfl2:

Marisa - Your wee one is adorable !!

My BF in Florida is pregnant with her second baby!!!!!!! I've know since the very beginning that she was pregnant but she made it official to her family so I wanted to share the news here!. Her Dad is so happy & I think it is a great reason for him to stay well. If you remember he was the man who was in NJ for cancer treatment last year from Florida.......& he was also in the hospital when I was there 2 months ago.
God works in amazing ways....when Lu was first pregnant with Liam her Dad survived heart surgery & loosing a lung & now he has another reason to push ahead, just amazing.
I know being an "Aunt" is one of the things I do well so I'm just thrilled!

.

I am so happy for your friend....but even happier her baby will have you in his/hers life !!

Ha- ha....Ive just posted the last three posts...can youse tell my multi's went a wee bit wrong !!

Ellen Thank you for asking Minnie is doing better. Just the little goof can't remember not to get up on the furniture cause she gets stuck. My son has to go rescue her :upsidedow

Poor baby. Good thing DS is ready to rescue her

Have I told you all that I am wicked jealous of your meets?

ETA that I loved the pics of the baby shower that were posted on FB! SOme lovely ladies in NOLA!

Are you feeling okay lately? I hope that you are not coming down with s flu from one of the kids.

I'm good, just busy time at work. I feel like I spend all day bent over at my desk and the more I get done, the more there is to do! :scared: By the end of the day I am just out of it!

I am going away this weekend so I am going to try and get the majority packed tonight so that I can stay late the rest of the week and get stuff done. I want to be able to leave by 1 on Friday and hopefully beat traffic, I'm going to Ocean City.

Aimee -- That is good news about your granddad! It will be a relief for everyone knowing he is safe and well cared for and that he is happy. I hope the iron medication works out for you.

Marisa -- Your IL situation made me sad. I can't believe the things they have said and done to you. I am not going to complain about mine again!

The pictures of Kady are beautiful!

This is when I wish I was on Face Book so I could see all of the neat pictures. But I have a hard enough time keeping up here. I would never keep up there also.

FB is not as difficult to keep up with, since you can choose to look at everyone's pages or not. I joined because it was the one way I knew I could share video and pictures with Greg, but I am glad the people on FB here have enjoyed them too.

I am adding video from the dance recital soon, but really, I am not offended if you don't want to watch it.

Marilyn -- Have fun in Ocean City. I used to go there as a very young girl, but I remember liking it.

I'm sitting here on the DIS & Alexis is dusting! How cool is that! Today she only wants 50 cents for unloading the dishwasher & dusting!

That's pretty good! Here, dusting and emptying the dish washer would be $1.25.

 I'm glad Minnie is doing better.

Thank you all for the congratulations for Greg, and the compliments for the kids. You are all so great!

We got dinner from our local food store. They have pretty good prepared dinners, so we just got that tonight.

Nancy come on down!!!!! SO far it's only me in the room. I haven't asked anyone to come...not nice right?
I'm going to meet up with Bethany before she leaves, would love if you & Marisa join us (Miss Kady is also more than welcomed).

Lauren- Hope you will be joining us as well, how did "A's" doctor appointment go?

Vickie- bad timing but we will make up for it in October:goodvibes

Aimee, glad your Grand Dad is settled.

Ellen~ give FB a try, it is actually sometimes easier to check in on some of us. How is everyone settling in after deployment? I'm praying for all of you.

Thank you Ellen, Vickie, Kat & Nancy about me being an Aunt & a good one at that~ I'm the lucky one to have these kids in my life.

I can't wait for the weekend, haven't been there in years, we have a timeshare. They did renovations on them so I am excited to see what they did. It will be me, DM, sis, her DH and my two neices.

Really can't wait because we are going to the Phillips seafood buffet for dinner one night. :woohoo: Lots of crablegs and steamed shrimp!

Now you're talking my kind of food!:thumbsup2

Oh yeah!

I'm hoping the shrimp guy is there this year. There is this little boat that sits on the side of the road that they sell seafood from, it is the best shrimp I have ever had in my life. They have someone that drives up every day from North Carolina, they still have the heads on them.

I will have to bag them up carefully then put them in the freezer, my youngest DN is allergic to seafood. :sad1: My DM will watch her, she doesn't eat enough to make a seafood buffet worth it, while the rest of us go to Phillips.

That was one of the mild issues with them. My SIL was going through DCF (department of children and families) because they were taking her daughter away from them. DCF wanted us to take her daughter. It was such a bad situation, but Jeffs sister told DCF that I had munchausen by proxy because Kady was at the Childrens hospital all the time:scared1: She had to go monthly to her specialist and weekly to the pediatrician for almost a year. Not by my request but by the doctors request. I told them to go check with her pediatrician and look through her medical records. I certainly dont have any issues. I ended up walking away from his sister, the baby and the whole situation.:sad2:

They also didnt want me to have Kady because it was too much responsibility for Jeff. They said that I should just end it. Jeff wanted Kady from day 1. As soon as we found out he was so happy. I was the one who was scared and nervous. So I told them that if it turns out to be too much for him, I can do this alone. I am a strong woman who doesnt need a man to take care of her.

OK MY VENTING IS OVER!!!

:scared1:

Just had a cream biscuit fresh from the oven. Here's my response:

:faint::love::faint::love::faint::love::faint::love:

Not exaggerating!!!!!!!!!!!

Those sound yummy!

Here are some pictures from Kady's First Communion. I have lots more on Facebook. If we are not friends on Facebook, let me know and I will add you!

Oh my, she is GORGEOUS!! I :lovestruc the flowers.

i hear ya on the work thing - it never ends, does it? I am glad you have a light at the end of the tunnel and can get away! Sounds like so much fun!

We ate at a local dive - I ordered a turkey burger and green beans. It was really tasty and I honestly didn't lust after my colleagues french fries THAT much.

We are having leftover Glynis roast with carrots and potatoes, with a cream biscuit on the side :) Just a note about those biscuits: I brushed them all liberally with melted butter, but on 2 of them I sprinkled cinnamon sugar. IMO, this is the best way to eat them. Give them a try that way if you make them.
