The What's for Dinner Thread- June 2012 (recipe index in OP)

TGIF - I really mean that. What a week!!

Hi everyone :goodvibes

We had so much fun at the Children's Museum last night. I think at firs Lilly was a bit overwhelmed but by the time we were leaving she was having a ball. I am thinking of buying a Membership as I think they would really like it, especially on cold wintery days, hot hot days and days little ones need to blow off some pent up steam.

My Lenten luncheon went very well yesterday. We served 66, and everyone got fed. But man oh man I was pooped after we got everything all cleaned up. I was ready to sit down.

WFDT ~ Chicken fried chicken, roasted cauliflower, spinach salad.

Make it a great day.

No meat for US today....:confused3 Your dinner DOES sound great though...

PIO- I have been buying them... Morning Star.. Once I am done with the ETL detox, I will go back to making them.. Mine need a binder to stay together, and I have not found one that works with the ETL...

What about this one!

Thanks. Interesting that they use spiralized or grated sweet potato instead of pulsing it in the food processor to get it to bind. I've never tried a veggie burger that way.

Me either, but I have been looking at many new recipes since, I can't have things like Starchy Veggies... Ughhh So hard... This Sunday is the end of the Third week, have way there...

Just remember that we decided on WFDT to do a stuffed pepper meal for the last weekend in March.

Hope you find a recipe that fits in with your diet.

Half way......not long to go.

WFDT? GF baked mac'n'cheese for my DH and grilled salmon and veggies for my DS, Dylan and me….

WFDT? I think DH and I just agreed to going out for dinner tonight. Might be Japanese.

So......Japanese was good last night. We tried a new place. The local Japanese restaurant that we normally frequent changed owners about a year ago and the food quality has gone downhill.

The new place was good and we'd be happy to go back again; but it was a little pricey. DH and I agreed that we should check out a few more of the local Japanese restaurants around us before settling on a new fave.

WFDT? Nothing. We had lunch at my mother's. It was her birthday and she wanted to cook a simple lunch for all the family. I ate so much that I wasn't hungry at dinner time. But the boys had pasta.

Busy, busy weekend. Hope you all had a great weekend yourselves. :goodvibes

I'm all set for this!

PIO - I'll post my meatloaf recipe for you. It's actually Fran's mom's, but it's pretty good.

…..and, did we decide on Saturday or Sunday? Or is it an either/or?

OMG! I totally forgot all about it! So, it's NEXT weekend….agreed? :thumbsup2

…..and, did we decide on Saturday or Sunday? Or is it an either/or?

We said Sunday, but maybe it should be Saturday for the Northern Hemisphere and Sunday for the Southern. ;)

I made my peppers a couple weeks ago and did three batches, I have two different dinnners in the freezer so that in case life gets in the way next weekend, I can still play along! :thumbsup2

I was going to do mine on Saturday. Sunday is another manic day and I figured I wanted to spend time on Saturday cooking.

Dang! We should do ours Friday! You always get everything first, New Year's Eve, Easter, Groundhog Day, Thanksgiving....Ok maybe not all of them! :lmao:

….your Saturday is my Friday; we can't eat meat during Lent so that's not an option for me….

….I guess if any of us have it for either Friday, Saturday, or SUnday, it'd be okay….we could call it the Stuffed Pepper Weekend Bonanza!!
