Hi everyone,

Well 2013 is almost over. I really don't know how I feel about that. It has been a good year. I only pray 2014 is a good one also.

I have read back some and it really sounds like you all have had a great Christmas as well as us. It was busy and we did 4 rounds but it was a blast. Matthew left last night after being home for 6 days. We miss him already but man, it was great having him home for that long.

Doug spoiled me this year with a new Coach purse and billfold. I was floored and he did a great job picking it out. I love it. I also got the new Pioneer Woman cookbook (from Matthew. I am reading it cover to cover. It is a hoot and I of course love the recipes. Elizabeth and Jay gave me a beautiful new necklace (its a football with rubies in it - Husker Football) very unique and I love it! Marty and Stephanie gave me some new Burberry perfume. My favorite. Doug's Dad gave me $$$$ so I can't wait to go shopping. All in all a great holiday with my favorite people. The babies were darling and so much fun.

We had some great food - Round one was Oyster stew and Chicken Noodle soup on Christmas Eve. Christmas morning (Round 2) - I fixed a wonderful egg dish in the Crock Pot. I was so easy and really really yummy - if anyone is interested I will share. Christmas Day (round 3) - Turkey with all the trimmings and Ham Balls. On Saturday (round 4) was in Kearney - Honey glazed Ham with Cheesy potatoes, and all the trimmings. Oh my the good food we had. I have enough left overs to last the rest of the week.

For New Years Eve we are going to Marty and Stephanie's to watch Lilly Bug. They are going out. We were invited but Doug and I do NOT go out on NYE. We never really have been the NYE party animals but my dear Momma passed on NY's day so it really is not a time for me to celebrate. So we have decided to just go to Kearney and hang with Lilly. We will stay all night as the Huskers play in their bowl game on NY's day and we will all gather there for the BIG game. GO BIG RED!!! Marty is smoking a brisket and everyone is bringing the sides. Should be a good time. Next week is going to be so boring.

I am smack dab in the middle of year end and new year books and reports. I really hope to get a lot done today and tomorrow so I won't worry about it later. I guess I had better get busy.

Good Monday Morning! I am all mixed up, and never know what day it is lately!

Ellen- What a wonderful Christmas you had! I know you are going to enjoy your NYE with Lilly! Drive safely!

We are having chicken tonight with something. I have to get to costco for a ham for New Years Day, dinner, which is going to be simple. WE don't go out NYE, but I think Donny and Anna are coming over. I offered to keep Nola and Rylee, but I don;t know if W and B are going to go anywhere. their family has been battling some sort of cold and even though they are all better, they are still tired.

I made meatballs stroganof yesterday. Buddy usually loves it, but I think he is still full from Christmas and Christmas leftovers because he said it was "too much".

Nancy - I know how Buddy feels about "too much".



I'm going to go into the city tonight for the NYE fireworks. We're expecting that perfect day with blue sky and temps in the 70's. It will probably be a lot cooler tonight. I think there is an expectation of 300K people heading into the city tonight so we'll just add to the ground swell.

The fireworks viewing areas are designated dry areas and they do police it quite well. Hopefully, it will be as fun as it usually is.

We have had a very quiet season with just the two of us. Tonight I have a couple Prime steaks and some Costco mac and cheese. I think I'll make a breakfast strata for tomorrow morning to eat while we watch the Rose Parade.

Oh PIO- those photos are stunning! I cannot even imagine what it was to view that display! Have a wonderful New Years day!

Allison- we have been quiet here in the G household as well. Buddy and I have been alone for most of the Holiday, except for Kady, who stays with us when Marisa is working.

I am having a blast with her! She is too funny, a sentimental as a goat in many ways, but in others, she is her Nana's girl
We watch Christmas movies together, and have done so since she was a bitty thing who could not sleep unless she had a movie on. I always watched them with her until she fell asleep. Anyway, we have our "always" watch, and just finished a Princess for Christmas, and now are ready to watch A Grandpa for Christmas. She is making me smile, because she does not want to break our tradition. Love my girl!!!!!!!!!!

I am not sure what is going on for tonight I thought Donny and Anna were coming over, but I got my days mixed up. So if I don't have Nola and Rylee, Bud and I will be parked in front o Moonshiners with WIngs!

If I don't get back today, I wish my dear friends a happy and healthy and safe New year!

I have been very slack to post on the boards as of late.
We arrived back in Australia last week from Disney World, just in time for Christmas / New Years ( which was crazy )
I have started back @ work this week & normality / reality has set in ... Lol
Can't wait to book another vacation. I have just downloaded photos from our trip & now need to learn how to post online.
We took a lot of food porn on both the ship & in Disney.
I am now in love with dole whips, & grey goose slushies. Lol
Tonight for dinner I am cooking chevapacici's, potato rosti & steamed veggies.
