The What's For Dinner Thread - Feb '09(recipe index in OP)

Ann, you never know.....maybe something will happen & you'll be with us!

You go girl with the bathing suits!!!!
Have you looked in L.L. Bean? They have some pretty good options.

Being prego, I have no idea what size I would need. I almost need something in a long if it is not maternity because my belly is pulling the suit down.

Here are the two suits I hope they have to try on:

Sometimes I go to allrecipes and they have a spot where you can do a recipe search with the ingredients you want to use.

Thanks, I did try that but didn't get the results I wanted.

My dinner did turn out well. I based the pasta dish on the traditional smoked salmon dish...capers, cream cheese, dill. I used fresh salmon rather than smoked though.

Here's a picture:

Ann -- those suits are pretty. I hope you find one you like.

For those on FB, I posted a couple of pictures of Caili from the weekend. The new format is confusing to me. I don't get the updates like I used to. :confused3

Oh my stars! If I have to tell her one more time to layer it like a lasagna I am going to lose my mind! :headache: My mother is making the Chicken Tortilla bake for work tomorrow and I have already told her 4 times to layer it like a lasagna! I swear she has come down here after every layer!

I like them both, I really like the print with the red belt!.....I was thinking long would be best so LL Bean & Eddie Bauer both have longs if you need other options.

Glynis 100lbs???? That is a huge accomplishment, I never knew that!!!!!:thumbsup2

*** I don't like the new Facebook at all!

Nancy, I love your story about the CR....so sweet that Buddy:love:, what a wonderful husband & Dad!
Top of the World was so "fancy". Remember the Sunday brunch? The show they had up there!!!! Wow, it was great.

I will always have a place in my heart for the Poly because that is where DM & I stayed the first 10-15 times we went to WDW. I thought it was so magical especially with the torches and the Electric Water Pageant passing by, she made me feel like a Princess. I loved having her all to myself and being able to have "play" time with her, great memories.

Count to 10...or 20...or 30 !!

As my Na-Na used to say " You'll get yer reward in heaven " :)

The kissing business was nothing really.
My football (soccer) team Celtic won a big cup final against our bitterest rivals and I was so happy i kissed folks !!

Like I said no biggy !! :confused3 :rotfl2:

Thanks for helping me find options. I like the print with the red belt the best too. I really am trying not to spend to much, I feel like it is a waste. But I look at it as this is all I need to be outfited for vacation.:goodvibes

Glynis, :woohoo: 100 lbs. I would love to lose about 35 after the baby...well that could change based on what I gain in the end!

Yes. That is my great accomplishment to date (besides my kids, of course). I was diagnosed 12 years ago with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. This causes women to gain weight and not be able to take it off. When I married Alan I weighed 110 pounds, and within 1 year was over 175 pounds. At my heaviest, I weighed 225 pounds. I tried every diet known to man, and then underwent gastric bypass surgery. It was not an easy decision to make, but I watched my mother, who also had PCOS, deal with double knee replacement (twice), diabetes, and a 7 bypass heart surgery all because of her weight. I was determined that I would not pass that legacy on to my kids. So, I had the surgery, and within 1 year I was down to 124 pounds. That was actually too skinny for me, so with my doctor's help I put on some weight until I weighed 132 pounds. I felt great! All that year I used the WDW half marathon as my incentive to exercise. I knew that was the only way I was likely to ever get to WDW. On the upside, because I lost the weight, I was able to conceive Timothy naturally, unlike the other kids where I had to do a ton of infertility treatments to get them here. I've been lucky that since having Timothy I've been able to get the weight off. I'm still not where I was before, but I only have 10 pounds left. I'm not pushing too hard since I'm nursing, but once I'm done, I plan on training for the DL half marathon to give me more incentive.

Wow, that was a long stroll down memory lane. Anyway, I'm proud of myself, and this thread has played a huge part in helping me cook healthy meals!

We got our DVR fixed yesterday...thank goodness!!!!
I have missed taping my soaps, and American Idol. I can't believe I had to be without for almost two weeks.

I had to change mine too! No availability at BC or BWV so we'll be at SSR!:cool1:

He's feeling better now that he's home. Orlando was extremely dry and that's what was causing his problems.

I noticed the change in your ticker; I was going to ask you about it but now I don't have to! I have not stayed at SSR (I am not in DVC) but I stayed at that site back in 1996 when it was the Disney Institute.

Orlando...dry?!? Glad he is feeling better.

McDonalds is one of the things I miss so much

You miss McDonald's?
