The walking dead amc #2

Simon told them that they did it and were coming back to take care of the all the Walkers to show the Hilltop they are still "protecting them" - which is the Saviors odd way of showing "this is how we protect you and why you give us half....that and we will kill you". I don't think they know about the agreement between Alexandria and Hilltop, b/c they would have beat the truth out of wimpy Gregory. and with Rick & Co. kiling everyone at the outpost, there were no survivors who saw Jesus or anyone or even knew that Rick and Co. came when the Hilltop showed up to pickup their one resident who was held captive.

That's another thing too, there were no survivors. How did they know it was Rick and company?

I think Rick's group was the only group in the area not under Negans rule, so it was obvious it was them. Apparently Negan had them on his radar and was planning a visit.

Another slow episode. They may need to find a new angle and soon, cause all that seems to be happening is the Saviors running roughshod over everyone, and while I get it, that is tiresome. Time to shake it up and get it moving along now.

I agree. I think if Negan knew about the deal, he would have shown up himself and had Lucille go to work. And I just loved that the whole episode was about Maggie and her healing. It was so good to finally see her again.

Does anyone watch Talking Dead? The actor who plays Gregory was on after that episode and he was hilarious -- talking about Gregory and his wimpiness and playing him. And Cooooral, Negan can have him. I am so sick of that kid! He's going to probably cause more problems for Rick and co. and maybe even be another hostage of Negan's to hold over Rick. UGH But Jesus, oh my, yes I really like him and hope he sticks around for a long time. I don't think he is the real thing, but I do think he is a kind soul and protective -- and loved those ninja moves!!

I think we're going to see this for a while longer to make the point, but then maybe they could start showing us how everyone recoups and finds a way to survive and maybe plan something! I am tired already of seeing Rick in a beat down just about every episode.

Yes, the Saviors did it, because they are pretty certain Hilltop had Rick kill them, but I don't think they are positive about it because they didn't kill anyone at Hilltop. You know how Negan has to punish dissenters. So I guess they did that to send a message "even if you didn't' do it, we're still here and you are still working for us whether you had that faction killed or not."
That makes sense. If they had proof, I'm sure someone would have been killed. They have killed Hilltop people before.

Get ready, because I think next week is going to be a slow one. I believe it's going to be centered on Tara.

They did have Alexandria in their sites but then there were several things that tipped them off as well to knowing that Rick & Co. were the ones that attacked that outpost. Biggest would be the Rick flat out told Simon in last season's finale when said: "I was thinking I wouldn't have to kill any of your people.....any MORE of your people". And then Negan saw that Carl's gun was one of his people's b/c an image of Lucille was carved into the gun and Negan said "you got a whole lot of our guns". So they knew this was the group that killed their people. And they also killed more of their people when Dwight killed Denise and also when Carol killed a bunch on the roadside, so they knew this was the group that fights back. Which is why they brought so many Saviors for the finale.

And why they stripped them of all their guns. And what happened to taking HALF. They were taking all their meds when Carl turned on them.

I have to say, I didn't care for Jesus when we first met him. This episode though, I found myself liking him and trusting him a bit more. Gregory is useless. Nothing but a cowardly drunk. Here's to hoping he meets his demise very soon.

I am still so confused in regards to the car playing music and the gates being opened. The saviors did that. But why? Did they somehow find out that Hilltop is responsible for sigging Rick and gang on the outpost? How? I hate when they talk in riddles.
I thought the saviors did it to bring in the walkers and then kill them and show hilltop that they need the saviors in order to protect them so they better not do anything to lose their trust.

Oh and somebody give Carl a haircut.

YES. And please, Daryl's hair has always been a source of grease fat -- but now it's beyond disgusting. If and when he gets rescued, please give him a thorough shower.

But then again, every talk show I've seen him on and even his motorcycle show, his hair never looks washed! UGH

LOL!! Daryl definitely gets the "most in need of a shower" award.

Maybe he's a hippy type. My DD's softball team has a girl who doesn't: shave, wear deodorant (Yep, that's pretty in July on the ball field), wear make-up or wash her hair. She is vegetarian and just a hippy (what are they called these days?). Maybe what's-his-name is like that. Not my cuppa...don't get the draw with him.

Sounds like the Ally Sheedy character in Breakfast Club LOL

No one seems to like carl. I don't understand. While he's not in my top 5 as favorites, I don't hate him. I feel like I'm missing something with his character. If I read about him online everyone talks about how whiny he is and how they wanted him killed off. He seems to be the least whiny these past couple of seasons now that I'm paying attention. What am I missing?
Yes, Darryl needs a good shampoo.
And when will we see bad *** carol again? No one I talk to likes her and wants her killed off too yet I love her but only when she's bad *** carol.

Carol and Daryl were always my favorite characters, but I didn't like the direction they went last season with Carol's character. She got very insecure and whiny and wanted to die, but I still held out hope she would snap out of it. i wasn't one of the ones that wanted Carl to die, but I wanted him to snap out of his selfish behavior and get a clue. He's annoying me this season because he's suddenly trying to be so macho and heroic and I think it's going to create havoc.

Makes sense with carl. Yes carol better go back to her old self. I wasn't happy with the direction they went with her either!
