In all fairness, some people on this thread may not know the spoiler button exists or even realize that comic references bother some folks, since comic references are really not spoilers. The originator of this thread should post the request to use the spoiler button in the rules of the first post, and enforce that throughout the thread. That doesn't occur, so there will always be people who are new to the thread who don't realize it. This conversation comes up every so often, and it will probably be the same going forward.

True enough but even before the spoiler button existed people would simply use a white font to hide potential spoilers. I also think the information from the comics do act as spoilers as they give away information that is pertinent to the story.

It has been enjoyable discussing the show but I think I will stop reading this thread so I don't find out things I don't want to. Enjoy the rest of the season.

This show made me so dang nervous last season that I ended up jumping ahead and reading as much as I could find about what happened in the comics so I'd be prepared The pressure of not knowing was too much for me LOL

I think part of the problem is that everyone interprets the comic book references differently. My opinion is that it's not a spoiler because the show can and does deviate, sometimes drastically, from the comic story line. If the show consistently followed the comics to a T, then that would definitely be a spoiler. Either way, there will always be folks new to the thread who don't know that comic book references are considered spoilers by some, so it will never occur to them to use the white font or spoiler button. It is what it is, since this TV show is unique being based off a comic book that is further ahead than the show is.

Yeah I'm going to have to "unwatch" this thread too. I like it to discuss the TV show---period. When you have "oh but in the comics this happened or will happen" or "well in the comics the backstory explained why they are like that" I just don't care. I watch the show to watch the show. I want to discuss the show, not read and watch every bit of the comics, other fan sites, even Talking Dead in order to talk about the show.

It would be easy to skip over the posts that discuss those things, if you're so inclined. Personally, I think those details add to the discussion and I like to hear different angles that I may not have otherwise thought of. That's why I come to a discussion forum to talk about the show.

This was me too...except I did it after the first episode this season. I just couldn't take it anymore, wondering how long Negan would be around, so I read everything from that point onward all in 48 hours. Now I am regretting it because, like with GoT, I am seeing the differences and it bugs me and now I think the show stinks.
I have been having trouble with the Dis and trying to post and the page freezing and whatnot for months now. It seems to get better for a little bit and then goes bad again. Sigh! I have to keep my posts short.

Do you use an ad blocker? Have you scanned your PC for malware/virus recently? Do you have any extensions or add ons on your browser? Have you tried different browsers?

Trying 3 different browsers: 2 on PC and 2 on tablet and all are wonky at times. Don't think I have Ad blocker but don't know. Cleared cookies too. Should run a scan.

We purchased a new laptop about a month ago, &, until we installed an ad blocker, the DISboards were basically unusable.

Definitely get the ad blocker. I was having issues as well and at the suggestion of others, I got it and it cleared up all the issues.

Just turned one on and seems to help. Thanks! I got new PC about 6 months ago...cheap crappy one and it crashed a couple months ago and had to be reset and it has been an issue, with certain forums I go on, since then...but I think I just figured out how to turn the ad blocker back on (Kaspersky private browsing is what I turned on?????).

That's not an ad blocker. That should prevent sites from tracking you or utilizing cookies. Google <name of browser> and "ad blocker". I use Ad Block Plus and Ad Block for Chrome.

And sorry, but after watching the 90 minute episode (finally), I have to say I truly hate Dwight. I have no compassion or sympathy for anything he has gone through. How ridiculous -- they take all their bedding and burn it -- way to go wasting stuff that is no longer being manufactured! And yes, I do think Dwight was trying to send Morse Code.

I didn't go into labor on the premiere! Induced and had our baby nov 3 and was home in time for the second episode on Sunday lol!
I think Darryl definitely Moros coded to rick.
I think Dwight will end up on ricks team and help Darryl.
