The walking dead amc #2

What I've heard about next season-spoiler:
It's called all out war and apparently the hilltop, ricks crews, saviors and the kingdom will be coming together to fight the people who are dressed light walkers. I also heard negan gets thrown into the jail Morgan made last season and then reluctantly teams up with rocks crew. This is what I heard. I don't read the comics so not sure if who told me this is going off comic books or he read scripts. He knew the finale word for word since he found the script so not sure.

Last night was slow, but I still think they are trying to establish some sort of baseline for all commuities in the story and while they'll eventually unite (IMO).

I like the comic book info so enjoy it being posted along with internet theories. All part of the fun.

The episode was okay, so glad they didn't discover Maggie, but as we all know they can't hide her forever.

Okay, I know this is really out there in left field, but has anyone else considered that Jesus is The Jesus? He's a pacifist; always wants to make things right between people; looks out for others; doesn't want to be the leader, but really is without having to say he is; and was able to get into Rick and Michonne's bedroom without either of them knowing. How does that happen??? I know it's crazy, but if you are Christian you believe the second coming of Jesus is at the end of the world and if this isn't the end of the world I don't know what is. Okay, okay, crazy thinking, but had to throw it out there lol.

One thing I don't understand is why the Alexandria folks told Negan Maggie was dead. Does Maggie know she is supposed to be dead? Isn't it very plausible that Negan will find out? Aren't they worried about the wrath of Negan? Also, why did Hilltop decide to hide Maggie and Sasha? Was it because they were worried about Negan finding out about an alliance between Hilltop and Alexandria? Are they not supposed to know about each other. Why would Saviors care if Maggie and Sasha were at Hilltop (if Rick did not tell them Maggie was dead.)

Never had that thought about the character Jesus

I have a feeling most people haven't. Just thought I would throw it out there.

I don't get it either. Makes no sense. I understand they were protecting her since Negan was asking about her, but they have to realize she can't be hidden forever. I do not think Hilltop knows Maggie is suppose to be dead. Again, this is just days after Glenn and Abe have been killed. The reason they hid them is because they didn't want Negan to know they have an alliance with each other. Although it looks like they have a clue. Simon was basically saying Greggory had Rick's group kill the Saviors at the outpost, but I guess they don't have solid proof of it, so let Greggory live. I just wonder what Jesus and Carl plan to do once they get to Negan's hideout, how do they expect to get out of the truck without anyone seeing them.

The comments negan made about her made it seem that he would be taking her with him and having her on the side like he does with the other girls which they obviously wouldn't let happen so it's easier to just say she was dead. Yes of course he will probably find out later and that will either be a big story line or not. I think they did right because you know negan would find her and keep her for himself.
Hilltop hid them because they didn't want them knowing they formed an alliance.

Negan was pretty clear that he wanted to make Maggie his -- and how vulnerable she would be as a widow. His discussion of her was pretty nauseating. If he knew she was alive, I think he would demand she be turned over to him as part of their "deal". The same might go for Sasha -- these women are vulnerable with him around.

you may want to edit your previous post quoting the spoiler. The white writing is visible on the blue background

But they didn't know that at that point. When he was talking about how pretty Maggie was and how he wanted to take her back with him etc. that was all after the whole glenn/abe killing. Then Negan showed up at ASZ and happened to ask about Maggie. They would have no idea Negan would want Maggie, but they already had a plan and a fake grave dug etc. They already planned to tell him she died, before knowing he would be wanting to take her. If women are so vulnerable, why just protect and hide Maggie and Sasha? Why not Rosita, or Enid, or all the other women of Alexandria? Plus, I think Sasha just wanted to go with Maggie, I don't think that was a conscious thought to send her. She basically said, "I'm taking Maggie to Hilltop." This sequence of events just confused me for some reason!

I got the impression that Gabriel was the one who came up with the grave because Rick didn't seem aware of it at that moment.

I think ASZ saying that Maggie was dead was more to protect the arrangement between ASZ and Hilltop. If Negan knew Maggie felt safe enough to go to Hilltop for medical assistance, I don't imagine he'd take too kindly to that. When the Saviors came to Hilltop in this week's episode, Gregory made Jesus hide Maggie and Sasha for fear of exposing their arrangement with ASZ as well.

@monica9 @RedSox68 -- it's my understanding that in the comics, Jesus and Rick pay Ezekiel a visit at the Kingdom and propose to him that they should team up to defeat Negan and the Saviors. But I'm not sure how or when they come to learn about the Kingdom, and that they are also under Negan's rule. Anyway, there was a little foreshadowing of this in last week's episode when Michonne said ASZ could team up with Hilltop and Rick said there would not be enough of them to defeat the Saviors, even combining the two groups. But if you add in the Kingdom, then they may have the strength in numbers. Will be interesting!

I have to say, I didn't care for Jesus when we first met him. This episode though, I found myself liking him and trusting him a bit more. Gregory is useless. Nothing but a cowardly drunk. Here's to hoping he meets his demise very soon.

I am still so confused in regards to the car playing music and the gates being opened. The saviors did that. But why? Did they somehow find out that Hilltop is responsible for sigging Rick and gang on the outpost? How? I hate when they talk in riddles.

Yes, the Saviors did it, because they are pretty certain Hilltop had Rick kill them, but I don't think they are positive about it because they didn't kill anyone at Hilltop. You know how Negan has to punish dissenters. So I guess they did that to send a message "even if you didn't' do it, we're still here and you are still working for us whether you had that faction killed or not."

Simon told them that they did it and were coming back to take care of the all the Walkers to show the Hilltop they are still "protecting them" - which is the Saviors odd way of showing "this is how we protect you and why you give us half....that and we will kill you". I don't think they know about the agreement between Alexandria and Hilltop, b/c they would have beat the truth out of wimpy Gregory. and with Rick & Co. kiling everyone at the outpost, there were no survivors who saw Jesus or anyone or even knew that Rick and Co. came when the Hilltop showed up to pickup their one resident who was held captive.
