The walking dead amc #2

It seemed like G. was VERY familier with Bob... like he knew him. Do you think Bob came from that group, and maybe that is why he was upset.

I thought so, too. Maybe he had seen or encountered them before they became "terminus" with one of the other groups (he had been with several other groups, correct?)

Curious to learn more about Father Gabriel, and the "you'll burn for this" message  :confused3

I thought Bob was bit too. Plus he must have swallowed some of that disgusting water.

Gareth said something like, "and it's ironic that it's you" when he was talking about taking one of Ricks group to get back at them for wrecking Terminus. I also thought he may have known Bob.

I thought Bob was struggling because of the alcohol since he was an alcoholic. It really did feel like he was saying goodbye to Sasha to me. I also thought Carol was going to take off but Daryl stopped her.

I thought he said that that just becaude Bob was part of Rick's group. I never got the impression that knew Bob outside of that. I guess the group should have listened to Rick and gone back to finish off the termites.

I also thought Carol was going to take off but Daryl stopped her.

And he asked what she is doing, she replies, I don't know, :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc...then that stupid black car flies by .

they must have an endless supply of gas because they seem to drive around alot, and always fast and revving the engine.

I really thought that Bob had been bitten too! I was just sure that he was crying and going to take off because of that. I can't believe that Tyreese didn't kill that Termite guy that he said he would.

I love Daryl and Carol together but I think that having them actually hookup would be a mistake and sort of make the show "jump the shark" if you know what I mean...

I thought Bob had gotten bit too and that's why he was so upset but when he was taken outside and they showed the tree, it looked like he was carving something in it. Last week they showed the trees with a symbol carved in it. I'm wondering if for some reason Bob was leaving a trail for the Terminus guys to find the group. Maybe he made some kind of deal with them.
Then they said how it was ironic they caught him, but a person has to eat (paraphrasing here). But since now they know where the group is, they don't need Bob anymore.

I was wondering what the mark on the tree was also. For some reason it didn't occur to me that Bob made the mark.
I was surprised at the things that TD didn't touch on last night, like him maybe being bit, and the mark on the tree.
Tyrese is a wuss, I get you don't want to, but he was going to snap Judiths neck! Some people in those situations just need to die. Now he is eating kaBob!

I was just reading Yahoo's recap of last night, and they too, also think Bob might have been bitten.

I think Bob was bite also. He was limping afterwards and I don't remember him limping before. I figured he was going outside to either kill himself or run off. The ending was a complete shock. Poor Bob and poor Sasha.

They guy that Tyrese said he killed in the cabin, wasn't he sitting around the BBQ when Bob was coming to? So he lied about killing him? Man, he better get it together. You can't live long if you aren't willing to get your hands dirty.

I don't like the priest. He is a coward and dead weight. They have enough on their hands without having to worrying about protecting him. I have a feeling about what he did. The claw marks at the windows, the writing on the back of the church and the fact that he is all alone. When a crisis hits, people flock to churches, yet there was not one parishioner with him? Seems very odd.

What was the whole filler conversation between Daryl and Carol?

"I don't want to talk about."

"Ok, you don't want to talk about it."

"Yes because I don't want to talk about it."

"All right, I get it. You don't want to talk about it. So do you want to talk about it?"

I got the feeling she didn't want to talk about it. AND YET SHE KEPT TALKING ABOUT HOW SHE DIDN'T WANT TO TALK ABOUT IT.

Yes Tyrese didn't kill that guy he said he killed. I think that Gareth and those other dudes ate some tainted meat. Also, it seemed obvious that Father Gabriel holed himself up in the church with all the canned goods for the food drive when things went bad and turned his flock away when they came to him seeking sanctuary.

And he was sleeping with his secretary LOL, or whoever she was. And he let her die.

The tainted meat leads to the question...does anyone know what happens if you eat meat from a bitten person?? Does it pass on to you then? My dd, even though we agree he was bit, didn't think the termites would eat tainted meat, they seem to smart not to check for wounds before they eat. Of course they usually seem to kill before they eat them also, just not this time. Yuck, just typing all that is disgusting...

I thought it was his wife

I can't figure out what it is he did, but I'd think if that was it wouldn't let his flock in, people would have beat down the doors of the church or bust the windows in. I can't figure out an alternative though. Dh said he was working with the bad guys who have Beth because of the cross on the car that the kidnappers have. He said he never killed anyone, but not that he wasn't responsible for many deaths and I think that is what we will see at some point.

I do think Bob was bitten...what happens when you eat tainted meat??? I would say it would be poetic justice if they die from it, but that seems like a quick resolution to the storyline. Gareth seems like another Governor esq character and we be around for a while as the bad guy.

So, I'm wondering if it *is* tainted meat, what effect it could have. Could it possibly be a "immunization" of sorts?

You would think. I don't think he has anything to do with the car with the cross on it. I got the feeling the cross was a "hospital" cross like they used to have on the back of ambulances, and that Beth's at a hospital somewhere.

.

The creepy part was how pristine that church was, like it was a Sunday right before service. Clearly someone had tried to get in, as Carl pointed out. But it doesn't seem it would be that hard to bust a door or window (although the windows appeared to be boarded up). If you bust in, then the walkers can come in too.

I thought Bob was bit too and that's why he was leaving. If so the Terminus people just made themselves sick by eating him no?

I think Gabriel is responsible for a lot of deaths just by turning people away from the church. He was more concerned with saving himself than helping anyone else. Time will tell if he's involved with the group that took Beth. When is her episode anyway?

Well that was an interesting ending. Did anyone else think Bob was upset because he had gotten bitten at the food bank? I really expected the person watching them to be Morgan- so I guess I can say I was surprised.

Yep, we all thought that he was bitten, for sure. Plus DH was yelling at the TV.."how can you not see the bubbles" LOL

It seemed like G. was VERY familier with Bob... like he knew him. Do you think Bob came from that group, and maybe that is why he was upset.

I thought that was because Bob was the one bargaining for their lives when they were at the trough. He told Gareth that the scientist with them was going to DC, they could get life back to normal, etc. So I guess it was ironic that Bob was the one to get eaten after all.

I was wondering what the mark on the tree was also. For some reason it didn't occur to me that Bob made the mark.

So it was him. I was wondering if that was him that they showed briefly.

That was my thought too - that he locked up the church tight and left people outside to be killed by the walkers.

I thought it was hospital related also, since it was symmetrical (all 4 parts of the cross are the same size) and opposed to a religious symbol where the bottom part is longer than the other three sides.

I was wondering what the mark on the tree was also. For some reason it didn't occur to me that Bob made the mark.

Completely agree!

I also believe Bob was bit and got the impression he was going off to kill himself or run away.

On talking dead, the actor that plays Tyrese said his character truly believed he killed the guy, so he wasn't "lying" when he said he killed him. I think it is an example of how naïve and weak Tyrese is.

I thought it was his wife

If he was a priest than it couldn't have been his wife. Now it could have been a secret girlfriend he had. Maybe the church members knew about it and that is why it was carved into the wall that he will burn. Given how timid he appears to be, I bet he locked everyone out of the church in fear of the walkers. Essentially killing people. I do think he has something to hide but I am going to say he is still a good guy.

It was an Episcopal church, not Catholic. Episcopal priests can marry.
