The walking dead amc #2

I'm down with the post-apocalyptic thing making the "rules" all kind of moot, but I felt the vibe was more big brother than anything else. At least, that's what I'm hoping for. :) Carol and Daryl seem so meant to be, and their reunion was awesome. Now when Beth comes back, the last thing I want to see is a post-apocalyptic love triangle. That would just make things so much worse. I feel like they are going to keep Daryl as the lone, rugged single dude for as long as they can.

I really, really doubt they will have a love-triangle. In fact I even doubt them having a romance between Daryl and either of those two. Beth is going to die soon (my prediction) and he and Carol now have a bond that is almost too close to ruin with the whole romance thing. They've both lost so many people and I almost think they're too broken to go that route, that many people will see as cheesy.

As much as I like to see them together, I almost think that if the producers ever get to the point where they throw them into a romance, the series will have jumped the shark.

I also think they will keep Daryl single. I don't think they will turn it into a soap opera, one couple, Maggie and Glen, seems to be enough. I think they will be focusing more on the survival and other dangers lurking out there.

So, I've watched since the beginning, but I can't remember...Who is Morgan that everyone is talking about?

In the very first episode/pilot he was the black man with his son who took in Rick. He also was sticking around because his wife turned, you saw her outisde the house they were in. He later appeared in season 3 or 4(?) in a house surrounded by ****y traps, but that time seemed kinda nuts.

I love seeing him!!! Hope he has a great story line.

Maybe I missed it but what was the symbol he follows when he turns from Terminus?

I also think they are going to keep Daryl single , but I think in some way they are going to address his romantic life or lack there of. I have seen a few articles that makes it seem like they will. I think someone mentioned it earlier but it has even come up having him be gay, although I don't think they will go that direction, it just seems random and not really needed for his storyline.

Don’t know! They haven’t explained that one yet. Chris Hardwick joked on Talking Dead that it looked like he was following the X-Men somewhere. :rotfl:

Still amazed at Morgan’s return. I saw the whole cast and crew the night before and they hyped up that episode SO much...but never let on that there was an end credits scene or that someone would be returning. Sneaky!!!

If you've watched from the beginning, maybe you'll remember that a couple of times during the first season, Rick took out a walkie-talkie and was trying to communicate to a man and his son about where he was going, because he was headed toward Atlanta and was hoping that the three of them would be able to reconvene somewhere.

That man was Morgan.

In the episode "Clear" in the third season, Rick ran into Morgan again, and we learned that his son (Duane) had been killed by his mother because during the first season, Morgan was too sentimental to shoot his wife, who had been seen walking the streets outside the home they were hiding in.

I didn't realize it was his mother that killed Duane.

Hey who was the body on the slab? I know some refer to a slab boy but isn't that the first guy killed at the trough? Sam?

The person on the slab was Gareths brother. They said he was accidentally killed when a gun discharged in the final episode. I don't remember that part of the finale last year, but that was what they said on the talking dead. They also said Terminus Mary was Gareths, and the slab man's mom. Totally didn't get that either, but the TD cleared that up!

I didn't think it was accidental, pretty sure the Termites shot him themselves.

Not sure if he was shot by accident or not, but on TD they said he was accidentally shot by one of the Terminus people. I think Rick grabbed him when he became suspicious of the Terminites and was using him as a shield. The Terminus person who shot him was aiming for Rick I think.

That's how I saw it too!

I am trying to remember and think I keep getting characters mixed up. The finale seems sooooooooo long ago. So I guess slab guy was kind of accidentally shot on purpose. :rotfl2: They meant to fire the gun, but didn't mean to hit slab guy.

You know, I was never quite sure if they shot him on accident or if they shot him on purpose. You know...take out the hostage and you don't have a hostage situation anymore :confused3 They will eat their own people so I don't put it past them to shoot their own people if the situation calls for it.

The symbol on the trees matches one of the tattoos on the face of the container guy. Maybe it is part of the group that had taken over Terminus and turned them bad. (An off shoot of another group, maybe they got thrown out of there and that is how they ended up at Terminus??)

Or it could be another group where Beth is being held.

or both.

I don't know what the symbol is supposed to mean, but on TTD, they said the things we "know" about Morgan are as follows:
1. he looks well and in a better frame of mind than in Clear.
2. he obviously has gotten over his need to be away from people since he is heading to Terminus where there are people.

Based on point 2, the symbols must be a path through the forest to Terminus as opposed to following the tracks. From where and why he is on that trail, I have no idea. I can't see Morgan being a part of the cannibals. My DH said he looked to be wearing some sort of riot gear, so maybe he's hooked up with the "police" that Beth is with??? Although again, I can't see him with bad guys and those didn't look like the "good" variety of cop.

To me it looked like the symbols were leading away from Terminus. If you were walking towards Terminus, you wouldn't see them they would be on the opposite side of the tree.

Could be leading to where the "police" and Beth are.

I, personally, have no idea if he was going to or coming from. The guy on TTD dead said that, I just quoted him, and since he wrote/directed? it, I'm guessing he knows which way Morgan was heading, and he said going TO Terminus. Maybe I heard wrong, but I'm 99% sure that's what he said. Anyone else that saw TTD able to correct me?
