Hey OB, I'm so glad your house is okay. Have a good trip back. We've missed ya but were glad you went and got out of the path. Our area didn't do well in central Louisiana. The house and Camper are okay though so that is what counts. DH on his way there now to clean up and get rid of the tree that fell but luckily missed the house and outbuildings, woohoo! When he comes back he'll have the camper in tow so we won't have to worry about it being up there if another one comes through!!!! So it appears as though all of us have survived the hurricanes so far, thank God! I hope Love gets missed up in SC as well and it stays to her east!!!!

Honey I can't wait to hear how Huey does at school. I think he'll be okay, probably scared at first, afterall that's a big deal to a little guy to suddenly be away from Mom and Dad with someone other than family. Please let me know after you drop him off as I want to know what his reaction was. I hope he doesn't cry because then you'll have to cry and that is so heartbreaking that first time you have to let them go, crying or not. Big hugs to Huey and you too!

Oh, forgot to tell you that the Yaz that they put me on interacts with the 40 mg of Lisinopril that I'm on for my BP. So, I can't take that. I'm supposed to go back to the pharmacy tomorrow to see what they worked out with the doctor.

You're a mess girl. I hope the pharmacist and your doctor get you all straightened out and on the right meds and nothing interferes with each other anymore!

Glad you finally went to your "you know" appt. That's important.

Hello everyone! I was going to say good morning but then I realized it is almost noon already!

The order of business today... gathering hurricane preparedness supplies just in case!

Since DH is gone and I'm alone, someone come visit me, I'm lonely, lol....

Anyway I think just in case Ike or Josephine hits us, I'm going to pick up some supplies as well. I have some candles and flashlights and batteries, but need to get D cells for my radio and want to get another case of water and maybe more non perishable food. I need some jelly for some PB&J, could live on that for days. I've got crackers and I guess I could hard boil some eggs ahead of time and make egg salad sandwiches if need be and get me another book to read and I'll be set.

Hey ya'll!!! To everyone getting hurricane supplies there are Duracell coupons in this Sun paper and CVS has them on sale. just thought I'd throw that in there I sure hope Ike doesn't turn out to be YIKES!!! OH Sorry about the limb on the camper Mom mom Hopefully that will be the worst of it.
I'm exhausted. i've been handwriting tags for 1st -3rd grade of how they are getting home. I only did half of 3rd grade the other teachers will just have to figure it Out. After21 classes my hands got tired!!!! hopefully I will get to get back on here later. I have some cute pics of the boys AND new kitten who is a SPASMATIC!!! if I can get photobucket to work for me, but in the meantime I've got to go get the boys and figure out something really quick for supper tonight. I'm thinking Fried tacos!! Or Hmmm i wonder If I could get away with Hot Links??? that would be really quick. i could just do DH a Tillapia Filet and then Hot LInks for the rest of us. Hey LeeLee, thanks for the tip. I have to go home and see if I kept Sunday's ads. I need to get the big batteries for my radio and a 9V for my alarm clock just in case. I'll prob get a loaf of bread now and put it in the freezer so that I'll have it whenever and if anything hits us.

I got him up early enough for school that he had time to watch one cartoon and play for a bit.

When it was time to go, he really did not want to go to school, but no fits, thanks god.

Then we got there early and we talked to him for a little bit in the car, Steve and I.

We walked him over and stood around for about 10 mins with other parents.


DS is obsessed with Thomas the tank engine. There was another boy in his class who had Thomas backpack, Thomas shirt, Thomas shoes and his name was Thomas. Both his mom and I were trying to get the two kids to talk, but it was a no go...LOL Maybe next time.

Then, Principal came out and said, Okay, Time for all kids to come in now.So, Trent was clinging to us, but we walked him to the teacher at the door, which was not his, but she was reading their name tags and then walking them into their group. He was taken away and I saw him standing inside with his head down. I felt awful.

Then I saw his teacher come out and she hugged him and was wiping away his tears. So, he was tearing up a bit, but not hysterical. Thank goodness.

After school, we got there early, first parents there...LOL

Then, I saw his teacher bring a few kids to the door and Trent was right in front...I saw her ask him where his mom was and he smiled and pointed at us.

He ran out and hugged us. He was all smiles. He said he had fun, but we were gone a really long time, not short like we said..LMAO

He would not tell us a ton as he wanted to get home and play. He told us he had milk. He did not have a snack as he does not like Brown donuts (munchkins)

He got a smilie face on his behavior cart and only comment Teacher put was Thanks for the snack, so guess he did well.

He did tell us while they were playing, he took his firetruck and knocked over a girl house and teacher told him that not nice. Trent said sorry. The girls told him he was being a bad boy.

So, all in all, sound like a good day to me

I'm so glad he had a good day sharky. That stinks that he had tears when you dropped him off but sounds like he was fine the rest of the day. That is too funny what he said about y'all not being gone for a long time instead of a short time like you said I'm sure he didn't find it too funny though. Hope it keeps going good for him like this throughout the school year.

I took them years ago. Got pregnant on them twice. I haven't needed them since I got my tubes tied 8 1/2 years ago. I'm not looking forward to going back on them. The last thing I need is another pill to take.
