You sure can tell it's a Saturday, I am the first one on. Good Morning!

OB and Cheri, You ladies are in my thoughts and my prayers.

I can't catch up because I don't have time. But I did scan a bit and saw talk of the LGMH's....I cut mine out last year and if I have time I'll be doing the same this year. It wasn't the easiest thing to make them pretty, I kind of had to angle the scissors so as to not leave the backing as an edge. (you'll see what I'm talking about if you try to cut them out)

I'm doing laundry, watching the weather, and trying to clean up at the same time. I just popped on to check my bank accounts and credit cards to see how much extra money I will have after paying the next 2 weeks' bills (got paid yesterday) and it's not much, but hopefully we won't run into any trouble.

FYI as of now I'm not being sent to Little Rock!

We plan on staying and will probably have some other people staying with us who are from the New Orleans area (Mike's grandma and cousin...possibly more)

My parents might come, too. It will be a full house! But we bought a generator yesterday so hopefully it won't be that bad. (Mike put it on his credit card... but at least we'll have it for future storms as well)

Hi Cheri. I am glad you don't have to go to little Rock :cool1:

Does sound like a full house, but it will be nice to be surrounded by all your family.

Keeping you all in my prayers:hug:

Yay on no Little Rock. It is a good thing being together as a family to ride it out. The generator is a good investment. You all are in our prayers.

Not much. I have been trying to think of someplace close to home to go to. Thankfully it is going to be cooler today after the last few really hot days we have had we need a break. Because it is a three day weekend there are so many places that will be really busy so I want to stay away.

Tha'ts great Cheri, glad you aren't being evacuated and don't have to go to Little Rock!!! Sounds like it will be fun though a full house for a hurricane party, well maybe not a party but at least you can all enjoy getting together. Good idea to get a generator. Hope you have plenty of bottled water and nonperishable foods too!!!

You know we'll be praying for you in hopes you don't get anything and that when your families all go home, they have homes, without damage, to go home to.

I am also praying for OB, wherever she is right now. I just hope all is okay and her property will be okay when she gets back!!! :goodvibes

What are you doing today?

Me too, in same boat, got showered and dressed but we keep having thunderstorms so keep waiting and then will see where I'll go. I'm thinking of the mall or someplace I get get a new book and then maybe take myself out to dinner and sit quietly and read and relax. We'll see. If this weather doesn't clear up I don't know whether I'll go or not but I want to go somewhere. It's a 3-day weekend and I'm in Florida, I don't want to sit here for three days.:sad2:

Hi Michele, Hope you are having a nice weekend. Glad to hear that it has cooled off a little for you. We are having storms so its cooler here but humid, I hate humidty, lol.

I am glad you are having cooler weather. It has been prettty nice here the past few weeks.

We went to a mall that was just redone. It is a lot nicer, but still need to add more stores for sure

They had a place called Krazy City we took DS to. He played one game of mini bowling and then he wanted to go on these two rides they have, but he was too short. SO, we took him into ball pit and shot balls and was super loud and he hated it...

They also had a place to eat. Food was good, but they were so slow...I was about 2 mins from just tossing a 5 spot on the table for our drinks and walking

After that we took DS to pet store to look around. That place was foul. I got him out of there fast and took him straight to bathroom to wash his hands. He was looking at hamsters. Outside the tanks on the shelve was dirt, and old food and who knows what else :headache:

I think we will stick with our own mall:goodvibes

You guys have been having too many storms. Mother nature needs to give your part of the country a break.

Hey Sharky!

We went to the mall today too. We went baby shopping. We went to Mervyns and looked around.

Then we went to the Disneystore because what trip to the mall is complete without that Dis fix.

My Mom got the baby a few things and as soon as Steph picks them up I will post pictures.

Petstores are such iffy places. Usually if you stick to like a Petsmart or a Petco it is usually clean. There is a privately owned pet store that I would visit more of he just kept it clean I mean yuck. So I know what you mean.

Cheri and OB I am keeping you in my thoughts and my prayers. The things I aam seeing here in California are scaring me. I can't even begin to imagine how awful it is for you. May God be with you.

You are so right Michele, this part of the country needs a break and Louisiana really needs it after going through Katrina before and now Gustav, it looks so scary. I am praying for everyone over there too.
