The Voice: Season 2 Official Thread

i know i've said this before, but i really wish they'd "stack the deck" and put weak against strong for the battle rounds. i hate that really good people have been eliminated and then they put two weak people against each other.

last night's show was kind of boring for me. i canNOT believe Cee-lo put that girl through. she is TERRIBLE. absolutely dreadful.

I agree with all that you said.
Sometimes I wonder if Cee-Lo just puts through the girls he wants to look at? I know Blake has sounded kinda pervy this year....

Yup, so much for "the voice"

I was kind of shocked when Blake told the girl with the garters that now that he's married that's all he has (looking at other women dressed like that).

HELLO!!! Your wife is adorable and she is in the barn waiting to coach your singers!

Cee-lo was obviously voting with his OTHER head.:rolleyes1 That "hello" she gave him during the meeting with Neyo was VERY telling. Neyo told her about herself basically, but I think he bats with the other team, NOT that there's anything WRONG with that..

That little line he made about that's all he has now that he's married was super tacky. He lost a few points with me last night.

"The VOICE" part ends when they turn their chairs around.

LOL, GMTA!

I love his wife! I'm sure he's sleeping on the couch from that remark!:lmao:

After last night's episode I am pretty ticked off- to say the least. It seems they stacked the deck to get rid of the country singers. So now the only country singer left standing is Raelynn, who- lets face it- has a snowball's chance in he-double hockey sticks of winning. Especially Blake's last pairing- giving the reggae singer the reggae song. i am crying foul on this show. But what do you expect from NBC?
I still remember season 2 of Last Comic Standing when comedians that were represented by producers of the show went through while the comedians that actually got standing ovations were sent home.
I would be interested to see who the management is for some of the singers that are getting through to the live shows.

But on a positive note, next week begins the live shows, which means hopefully Adam will no longer be wearing my grandpa's sweater and Christina can take the bejeweled 45 off of her head.

LOL on Grandpa's sweater and bejeweled 45. MTE.

I'm no country fan, but I gotta agree that the deck seems stacked against them this season. I get it when you take singers of two completely different styles and pair them for a song in a third genre--that's equally fair/unfair. But if I give a reggae singer a reggae song and pair her with a country singer, she better knock my socks off! She did nt do that song justice at all, while Jordan made big improvements in a genre that doesn't come natural to him. There was some real country talent this season, and now we're left with Raelynn?

The show was pretty boring this week. No one really wowed me. I hope to see some improvement and impressive performances in the live shows.

Overall, I think Adam has the best team and that his performers showed the most "growth" from the blind auditions to the battle rounds. I felt ho-hum about Katrina & Kim in the auditions but both really impressed me in the battle rounds. Pip and Tony turned in good performances, too.

Still, I view Jesse as the favorite and best all-around singer. Right now, he seems hard to beat.

How adorable was Cee Lo last night? :lovestruc I couldn't stop laughing every time they showed him in that wig! :lmao:

My top three last night were Chris, Erin and Charlotte. Lindsey would be my fourth choice.

Can't wait for next week when my man Tony sings :cloud9:

So what did you all think?

I have to admit I was disappointed last night, no one really wowed me. I do like Charlotte, and Chris and the guy who sang "Wonderful World" (is it Jerome?) were both good, but they bored me. It just seemed like almost everyone was off-key, lol. Hoping tonight & next week will be better, because I really do love the show.

**And yes, Cee Lo's wig was hilarious! I love him, never know what to expect!

I loved the opera guy. Not sure he's "pop" but his voice is magnificent.

The guy who did the Kanye song (and boy did he have to do some lyric editing on that) reminds me of Magnitude on Community...Pop Pop!

We sure had our share of "unique voices" last night - frankly I FF'd through most of them. Warbly and singing weird does not sound good to me, especially when most of it is off key! I sound better than that in my shower.

Jordis had a good come back...I am bad at remember other names. But there were a few good ones -yes, the opera guy sounded great.

CeeLo in that wig and outfit was cracking me up. But I was proud of Chrystina - she covered her, ahem, chest and toned down. She actually looked nice last night.

After that Raelynn sang I couldn't watch anymore. She was bad. This season I have not enjoyed as much as last years.

I follow the Voice with a bunch of people on the local station's FB page because they are cheering for the hometown people.

I was NOT a fan of anyone last night. They went from OK to plain old bad.

As for RaeLeen... come on, even Vote for the Worst is voting for HER.:scared:

I like Jesse's voice but why oh WHY did they make him sing "Wonderful World"? How booooring is that? :rolleyes1

Too much production, too many people on stage, it was distracting.

I did like Christina's look last night, didn't like Adam's haircut, though. I guess he gave his hair to Cee Lo..

I thought Christina looked very pretty last night, she doesn't need her ****s hanging out to look good - softer is definitely better for her.:thumbsup2

I like Adam's haircut, but he reminded me a little of Simon Cowell :scared1:

RaeLynn (sp?) looked like a two year old stomping around having a temper tantrum. I love country music but that was just terrible. I thought I was watching Toddlers in Tiaras :sad2:

LOL at Simon Cowell (ITA) and Toddlers in Tiaras.

Xtina did look a lot better last night. Did she lose some weight in addition to toning down the wardrobe?

But Xtina seemed like she had an axe to grind last night; she acted angry and downright rude a couple of times. At best, she's biased toward her own team. At worst, she's PO'd at Blake and taking it out on his team.

I love "Wonderful World," but I agree it may not have been the best choice for Jesse. His voice still came across amazing, though. So far, he's the one who's impressed me the most. I also thought Erin did a fantastic job last night. She really seems to have improved, and her storyline (Dad dying) is the most moving.

But for the most part, everything seemed over-produced last night. Too many dancers, background singers, mimes and flashing lights. I thought it was hard to discern who sang well because there was so much distraction.

Just want to say CONGRATULATIONS to Tony and Aspen Vincent on the birth of their first baby, Sadie Day. She is absolutely beautiful :cloud9: :lovestruc

Congratulations, Tony but SADIE??

Sorry if I insulted anyone. I just wonder when that name became popular again? :goodvibes

Last night was better than the night before, imho. I was wondering why didn't some of the people trying to save themselves do that the night before???

And RaeLynn... what the...:sad2: I was hoping VFTW would fail like they've failed with American Idol. That girl is really painful on the ears. :scared:
