I just don't understand what the judges are looking (listening) for...I knew Blake would turn around for that chick that sounded just like the girl he stuck it out with from last year. Um hello, that would make her NOT unique and different...just annoying.
Christina needs to quit telling other people to press their buttons - make your own decision woman!

I wasn't one of those people. IMO, Tony Vincent isn't fit to set up Adam Lambert's mic stand, from a vocal point of view but I get what you're saying (though I thought people found AL "theatrical" not "Broadway sounding"). I just didn't think Tony was good.

You are right. I always equate "theatrical" with "Broadway sounding" because to me Broadway and theater are the same thing. But yes, there is a distinction.

Tony reminded me of Adam Lambert (who can do no wrong in my book ). I thought Tony was good, and he probably will win the duet round, because I don't know who I think could out sing him. I still don't know who I think will win.

I love Adam and think he should have won AI.

Unfortunately I think Tony was trying too hard, the scream is not usually the way he sings that song, he over-sang it.

I didn't watch The Voice last year so I don't know how it works. I do know that the talent I have seen so far is superior to most of the people I have seen on AI.

I'm really looking forward to tuning in every week What happens after they pick the teams?

I didn't watch the show last year either, what happens after the coaches have their teams? Do the viewers vote or do the coaches choose who goes home?

I didn't care for Tony Vincent at all. I bet he's terrific on Broadway, but his voice and style don't translate to Pop music for me. I was surprised Cee Lo turned around at all.

I really liked the girl who sang "Rumor Has It" and the "Folsom Prison Blues" kid.

I liked her too... until she got done singing and started talking in baby voice. That is so grating to me!!

I tuned in halfway through the duets last year, so someone can correct me if i am mistaken, I am sure.

Once the teams are formed, they move onto the "Duet" round. The coaches pair off two singers from their own team to sing the same same song in a boxing ring and then he (or Christina) has to pick one of their babies to send home.
After the battle round, the live voting starts. And keeps going until each coach has one person left, and then you pick a winner. Badda-Bing. Badda boom.
I love that in addition to phone calls and texting, you can vote by buying the songs on itunes. I have a few of Dia Frampton's songs from last year- her voice was amazing!

And did anyone catch the final roll call? I didn't notice how many girls Blake has until they counted off the teams. He has 9 females!!!

I think it's going to be very interesting, a lot of very good singers. I was really surprised that they turned around for that one girl last night, I can't remember her name, she was terrible, pitchy, nervous, etc.

I do think Christina has an amazing voice, but it was a little unfair to sing with the last girl she picked, no one did that.

I only watched a little bit last season, but I think tonight starts head to head battles (taped) between singers on each team. The coach does the eliminating. It was pretty interesting last year. Much better than Idol these days!

i knew he'd pick her. he tends to go with the quirky. he did the same thing last year.

on this last one, i was rooting for the other guy. oh well. the one who went through just thinks he's "it." and that totally rubs me wrong.

i am SO glad that Tony Lucca went through (although, i thought Adam picked a terrible song for him).

Loved the show last night, I don't know how Cristina was able to pick between those two guys, I would have had to call it a tie.

I'm amazed at how much I'm enjoying this show compared to Idol, so glad I finally gave up that 10-year long addiction!

i wish they could've kept both of the last two guys and kicked off both of the singers who butchered "Ironic."

i don't like when they put two really strong singers up against each other and then put two weaker singers against each other. i'm totally for "stacking the deck" in favor of the better singers.
