Chuck Mangione passes away, age 84

Very popular jazz musician, big 1978 hit, Feels So Good. Mostly played the flugelhorn. If you enjoy jazz and are old enough, you probably enjoyed Mangione.

Back in school, we had a school-wide intercom system for faculty announcements and to page certain students to go to various classrooms. One time, some music student had paged, "Chuck Mangione, please report to the band room." (He wasn't a student. ) The whole band got a kick out of that, especially the band teacher. He wasn't really famous yet, so others didn't really know what the joke was about.
