I believe it is posted as noon sharp. We made it to security at 11:58 a trip or two ago with my husband trailing behind and the security guard joked with me if he didn’t hustle he was going to have to go around.

It’s amazing how little Disney Parks cares about its on site hotel guests…..

I am very unhappy about the recent onsite downgrades, but I do think this security guard would have waited a few minutes for my husband (who did successfully join us right at noon).

Can you imagine the response if they announced they were changing the perk to one untimed LL per guest on the reservation per day….

You all know how I feel about the hard goods refurb at VGC. Well I am back from my first stay since it was completed. I can say I am whole heartedly still angry but I can admit that the shower did not ick me out the way the AKV shower did and I was afraid it was going to. The rooms look dated but clean. Clean is king for me. They need to admit this was soft goods refurb not hard goods and I will be a happy owner once again.

Funny enough I think they may have heard our cries. I was opening the curtains for my view and I hear my husband yell from the bathroom, "hey at least the shower head is new, cheap but new" He has no idea all the talk about shower heads, I never told him. But yes the room I was in had a new non handheld shower head. It likely ran about $19.99 retail. But hey it's clean.

I had 2 studios. 3 nights in room 4209 ready at 3pm. 2 nights in room 6504 ready at 7pm. Yep 6504. The best studio!

Just an update after our VGC stay this week. Yes, some boards up at one side of the pool and some construction in that same area, but the pool was still lovely and construction noise only lasted a while. Every single staff member was super friendly, but service - from housekeeping, to bell, to hotel restaurants was at best "okay" - we asked multiple times for the same things (towels or what we'd ordered) and sometimes never received anything. The bellman services were so delayed it nearly caused a trip issue on departure (bringing checked items out to car). Still excited to return, but might want to lower any service expectations

I think this was an off week for them... we had the same experience

Yes, they are closing the Pixar Pier/Corn Dog Castle entrance in January. The entrance by Grizzly will be the only Grand Cal entrance to DCA, which will be a bummer.

My guess is $$$… but, it could be due to the construction starting in that area, but probably not.

Just a thought but feel it’s due to having an updated entrance/exit for Downtown Disney closer toward Pixar Place & they were drawing people to have to cross an out of the ‘bubble’ intersection. (You do have to cross, like anywhere around that park, with your head on a swivel. Some inattentive drivers out there).
