Refurbishment Timeline Announced for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas!

Do we think the Jambo refurb will make getting club level almost impossible next fall? I'd love to go in October, but we want a 1-bedroom club level. We can push it to January or February if that is easier. March would be my preferred time as the refurb should be done but we lose 14 points if we don't use them be end of February. We've never gone for club level at 11 months so I'm not sure what to expect.

I expect it's either going to be the usual extremely-difficult-room-to-get, or they're going to close them for a period of time for refurb. Note - that's just me thinking out loud, I've not seen anything about them closing the DVC CL rooms. But it seems they'll need to shut them down at some point to redo them, right? Probably best to close all 5 rooms and get them refurbed as quickly as possible. I'd say if you have an opportunity to grab one and they're taking bookings in October, you should go for it.

If they follow the Kidani pattern, it stands to reason that half of the club level rooms will be down for refurbishment at a time so yes, they will be extraordinarily difficult to book during the refurbishment. Likewise for the value rooms.

Not sure that makes sense since the club rooms are on one floor, and there are only 5 of them in total. Seems like they could shut down all the rooms at once and get it over with. But who knows what they're thinking!

There are 5 Two Bedroom Lock-offs so 10 rooms maximum.

Agreed. And since the CL rooms are on their own floor, same 'wing' essentially, they'll probably go together. Seems like they wouldn't want to disturb a few families staying on one side of the main lobby by having construction on the other side. On the other hand, the CL rooms have way more cash guests than they do DVC, and those rooms aren't being refurbished. So somehow they'll need to keep the lounge open during construction.

But who knows - never really saw them closing down half of Kidani at one time for refurb either! I'm just glad it's finally starting, meaning there's an end in sight a year or so from now, when we hopefully get to enjoy the spruced up rooms with Murphy beds!!
