The View - anyone watching?

This is the reason I can't watch anymore. I am all for free speech but this is just cookoo.

She never lets anyone have an opinion and this is ALL she talks about. There are other things going on. It's gotten too heavy handed.

I agree - I'm all for free speech. My problem with her is that SHE doesn't allow anyone else to express THEIR view - she talks loudly over them.

That's reasonable. Some suffer through Elizabeth, I suppose. It's the people that scream that she should be fired and they absolutely HATE the show but somehow seem to know exactly what she says everyday. Hey, hate Rosie all you want, but at least admit you love the drama. That's why you still watch.

Oh, I'll admit it; its a guilty pleasure, I do watch for the drama!

I see the clips on 'other' shows...Talk Soup, E! shows, etc, etc...

Oh I know...its always on every other station, or people are talking about it. I was just referring to the people who will gobble it all up everyday and then run back here and complain.

I think she is great. I enjoy watching her. I enjoy hearing about her wife and children. I think it is wonderful that she does not drink the Kool-Aid. I think it is sad that because she doesn’t and has differing opinions people feel that she should move out of their America. I think it is sad that people make a big deal out of her everyday life but if one of the other ladies said the exact same thing they would not be talked about.

Do I think she signed her walking papers. Nope, because she may be expressing views that are not yours but they do resonate with others.

Spend a few years in NY, it's a typical way to talk... you should hear a meeting between me and my boss!!

I only wish she had more competition, the women at the table LET her talk all over them. I think they all know that she's caused all the buzz which equal the ratings and they just deal with it.

I used to LOVE Rosie's show, but then she got ANGRY. All that anger spewing about all the time isn't really enjoyable to me. She and others like her have a perfect right to it, but that doesn't mean that I have to listen to them being angry.

It's sad that sometimes there is still the "Disagree with this administration = Unpatriotic Traitor" sentiment in this country.

Rosie's behavior has gone beyond over-bearing to something scary, IMO. That, coupled with her obsession with every conspiracy theory that comes along, makes me feel that she is spiraling out of control.

I agree with you. Yes, her style can grate on some - myself included. It doesn't mean I think everything she says is wrong. I didn't mean for this to be about people who or for or against Rosie bashing each other.

My question was just do you think she went too far in bashing her own network? She has had problems in the past, do you think it is about to happen again?

I don't recall her having problems with ABC Disney itself before? Other celebrities yes, but not the network itself. What scandal am I forgetting?

People have thought this since the late 1950's, have you ever read about the dangers of the "military-industrial complex" and how it was designed to keep the nation at war?? Nothing has changed, the people that were concerned about that complex back in the 50's and 60's are now getting their campaign funding from that complex-on both sides of the aisle.

Sadly, this is NOT news. However, I don't see anyone on the horizon that can really make any dramatic change because anyone in a position to make that change is dependent upon the existing system to stay in power.

Did I say scandal? Did I say specifically with ABC? I don't know the details; but wasn't there a problem with her last show and then with her magazine? It's just a question.
