Maybe attach them to a plain headband with hair ties and wear them like mouse ears?

Interesting twist, but the pre-order jacket is the same one being sold at the expo. Is this new? Or just new to me? All my previous pre-orders were different designs.

In other news, I'm ready to roll for the 5K and about to hit lights out! I'm planning to be at the meet-up, but please say hi if you see me in this getup. I'll be riding over from GF on (hopefully) the first bus at 3!

Where is the meet up in the morning? Time? Planning to drive from Swan at 3:30. Need to grab safety pins when I get there since there were none in my shirt bag and I forgot the extras I usually bring.

I'll be at the 10K with DFIL tomorrow, so I'll leave the meet-up option to him. If I don't see you all, assume that, or I've found yet another random one to join that isn't ours. LOL! If you see a lost vintage tour guide, that's me.

I'll be at HH either way.
In case I wake up early enough for the meetup. I swore I’d never wear a tutu like this again yet here I am 7 years later 🤣 It even has a tail!

Pua from Moana.

That is great. No tail, but Donald Duck would be happy to say hi.
Since everyone is posting a flat me
Decided to use my bondi band instead of my kerchief headband and not carry my mice (may change mind and grab one of them who knows)

grabbing everything I’ve seen so far from the ME thread.

A post-race update from me. I had planned on doing Mr. incredible again today, but those plans went out the window with the heat and with the fact that all of my Mr. I shirts were cotton. I had tried rinsing and drying the captain America shirt but in the end decided to fall back on my vintage Disneyrunning shirt that is 12 years old now. Since I was wearing a sweat shirt in the pre-race, here ‘tis.
(This is a cotton version of the race shirt. Race shirt is already in the car trunk…)637488637489

Waving! Former DRer and ROTEr here.

I know this is an old 2022 thread, but since we don't have a shiny new 2023 costume thread:

I'm legit planning to dress up as marathon mascot 90s Mickey: short yellow shorts, turquoise shirt and headband, pink and yellow striping.

If it is really really cold, I'll even wear long-sleeved black tights and shirt, but based on my experience (2020 and 2022) I'm not counting on cool temps. 😭

I mean....I can edit the title and such so that it's *just* a general race costume thread.

Aaaaand it's done.

I have a very detailed and somewhat elaborate costume planned for W&D 5K and can't WAIT to reveal it when it's closer! (I'm working with Cindy Copley of Copley Couture on it, and she prefers it to remain secret until the last minute.)

I also have my Dopey costumes planned out but won't share just yet. Let's just say they're "emotional". ;)

I am in Club Copley Couture! Are you too? She’s doing my Princess costumes.

So cool! I already had my Dopey idea and half of it bought or created, so I went for W&D and Spring, then decided not to sign up for Spring. So, we're going to do another idea I have on an extended timeline for the second costume. It's been so much fun so far!

I love her costumes! Does she have a website? I follow her on Instagram but didn't know she made them for other people.

Im doing goofy I am going to do a jack skellington inspired costume, I like that his strips aren't straight, so no worries when adding them to a tank. I'm planning on using a silver sequin ribbon stuff to make them.

I'm thinking scrooge for my other one. I totally blame duck tales for me insisting on majoring in archeology since I was little but Asu at that time didn't have it so I did anthropology. (Of which I have sadly have never worked in).

You always knock it out of the park with your costumes and originality! Pics please with the reveal!

Love this! My DH was Scrooge in a Disney marathon. It was relatively simple to put together and he got a lot of fun shout-outs from spectators excited to see Scrooge. It was a hot year so night before the race he cut a hole in the top of the top hat for ventilation - it kept his head cooler. A light-weight plastic cane from Party City helped complete the look!

he's going as the Magic Carpet. I found a big magic carpet-print cape on amazon that we need to figure out how to make reasonable for him to run 6.2mi.
I've seen people wear shirts with the magic carpet print but never a cape! It will look so cool flowing behind him as he runs!
