The key is that the less CM interaction you have, the simpler it needs to be. It will definitely be interesting to see how the balance that. I would love if there was some sort of device at each table so you could sit while you order.

And the flip side is that Disney will want to minimize CM interaction to save costs (TS vs CS). They're not going to want to pay a ton of CM's to "police" a QS restaurant.

I'm thinking they'll try to strike some sort of balance between ease of use and efficiency (from their perspective).

On a positive hope/note...maybe all of our concerns about the handling of QS could lead to a longer soft opening period...meaning more of us with our hopes up may still get a chance even if our dates don't fall inside the official opening. I mean- it just sounds like something that will really need a little bit of time to iron out the issues. Hey- it sounds like a realistic approach...well, at least to me.

Ok- I'm sure it's already been addressed by many by now, but...

I'm upset that so far...no mention of GRAY STUFF!!! Seriously!!!! I know it seemed cliche, but what a fun way to add to the theme, by bringing the song lyrics to the menu. I probably would skip the beef ragout, but I'd be all over the cheese souffle and pudding en flambe!?!?!!?

COULD NOT agree more!!! My DH and I were so upset to not see it on the proposed menu! Maybe it will be a surprise addition later

OK, I totally see now how lunch is going to work.

We ate at our local Applebees for lunch today. We walked in and.......voila.......... a small computer kiosk was sitting on each table. It had touchpad with full menu, order screen, game screen to occupy the kids, a server call button and a slot to slide your card to pay, complete with roll of paper to print receipts.

The timing on this was funny because we had just been speculating about how BOG would operate. This seems very well suited to what they have in mind.

My family wasn't quite as fascinated with it all as I was......and I wouldn't have cared one whit if I hadn't been reading about BOG this past week.

Cindy's family appeared as a group like that last year at the Christmas party. They were usually out in Fantasyland, but that night it rained and they moved into Town Square Theater.

I made her gown. So thank you again.

About 15 years ago, I went to a A&W restaurant, and there was a phone at each table. You picked up the phone and gave your order, and they brought it out to you.

I totally forgot about the burger place here in town that still does this!

We did ok with the kiosk at lunch, until Katie started pushing buttons and thought she had just ordered for the entire table! If this IS how they go, it's gonna be interesting how they keep the kids from calling the server over and over...... or for that matter ordering extra food!

What I'm stretching my hope for is that August 4th is 90 days out from opening. That puts it right where I need ....want....it!

I wonder if they will do a 90 day window or if it will be 180 come Aug 4th. I could see them doing 90 for a bit so as to not overwhelm the system that day. hmm. It's going to be a crazy morning for the CMs.

According to a comment on the blog, it appears this will not require a CC hold. I guess I'm really surprised by this. I know the demand is there, but with so many people wanting these spots, you'd think they'd really want to be sure that everyone shows up.

Well, it's not a character experience, dinner show or signature dining either. I think from a systems crashing view this makes the most sense. Less info to gather plus less pages for people to click on. Quicker experience on the site for it should help, plus less frustrated customers if it times out while they are putting their info in!
