Just wanted to stop by and say costumes are done! They turned out gorgeous! Packing not so much. I still have to dye some fabric for bench covers for a dance but that wont take too much effort and make a purple top. Guess they need to wear purple on one day. Anyway. I hope to leave around 10am. We will be gone for a week so I'll update you all when I get back.

Morgan competes 5 dances this week. 3 groups and 2 solos. Her lyrical solo will be the debut of it. Not sure that nationals is the best time to debut a dance but we are going for it!

Since my bf did not make it to the parks with us yesterday, he self-lessly volunteered to take me tomorrow. Wow, I'm amazed! Hopefully he won't be a grouch and I'm not sure if it will be hot so we can bring our water mister.

Wow you guys, it's 4:46 am and I've had about 2 hours of sleep sporatically. I went to bed at 11, alarm set for 7 because I have to the catch the 9am train to Edinburgh.

2am rolls around and I'm nodding in and out of sleep, 3:00 seagulls wake me up, 4:00 people partying wake me up. I'm now wide awake, with no sleep, my eyes are killing me but my brain is all fired up. This sucks, I've tried falling into a deep sleep but when I try I'm conscious of trying which only makes it harder so I'm totally going to crash about noon today. Wah, I think I need to go to the doc for some sleeping pills.

I have trouble sleeping everynight but if I have to get up the next day I can't sleep at all, crappy. And my tummy hurts.

Wow! Not getting any sleep is not good. Sounds like you need a nice quiet room with no interuptions!!

I made a Mei Tai!!! It turned out really nice.. I should have made the straps longer... but I have enough fabric to make another. I also made Kaylee some bows. I am really getting the hang of this crafty thing!

I am a crafty person, and I have no idea what "Mei Tais" are?

I can't believe my vacation is over My bf is off of his vacation as well My family is going to miss out on my b-day and my older sister's b-day this year. They are going on a trip overseas.

It's a little crazy at work since I was gone for 2 days. Hope you are all having a good day.

One week with hubby, he's back to teaching for the month of July and then has most of August off.
Need to plan at least ONE camping overnight this summer, would like to do more but I know my family is not the outdoor type. Besides the marching band schedule heats up to overdrive in July and August with all of the local festivals, rehearsals, fundraisers and band camp.

E's family made reservations at a hotel for 4th of July, I kinda wish they would have let me help, I did offer. A hotel closer to downtown would have been a better choice simply for the parking issue (we plan to watch the fireworks shot off over the river in Minneapolis) or at least a better choice of hotel for similar cost.

I read trip advisor reviews for their selection...black socks, murky pool water, broken everything, drug dealers and prostitutes... ewwwwww

Just a few blocks away for $20 more a night ( 5 adults sharing the cost just $4 more each... skip the Starbuck's one day?) is a highly rated 9 out of 10 for reviews, complete breakfast, built in 1999, smaller pool BUT it's clean!

E asked if I wanted to swim at their hotel.. uhhh NO!
I would rather pay $10 each and hang out at the water park for the day.

Man alive, our thread has been so quiet lately! I'm enjoying some sweet fresh pineapple for breakfast. I know, Shawna's worst enemy!

I found out that since I have an AP, if I go to DL on my b-day, I can choose from 1 of 3 options:

*1 day fastpass card good for all fastpass attractions. I can only ride each ride one and not multiple times. I believe it's good for both parks.

*1 $69 merchandise card (can't be used towards food). No expiration date and can be used just as a gift card.

*1 1-Day admission ticket which cannot be shared and must be used by 2010 of my next b-day.


I think I'm going to go with the merchandise gift card. Hopefully I can make it down that day but I'm not sure, since I have to work.

Where's that adventurous spirit?! Put on a low cut blouse and pull in a few bucks over the weekend. Then you can afford to go to a really swanky hotel next weekend! Heck, while you're at it, you can pimp out all the older female relatives as well. What's the going rate for pimps these days, 99% cut??

Awww...he's just jealous that the Gigolo business tanked with the economy. It's ok though, I'm sure grandma can pull in a few righteous bucks if she hangs out by the dirty pool in a bikini!

We are camping near the in-laws for the 4th this weekend. Then next weekend is another Burnt Ridge MX practice/race weekend, so we are camping again that weekend.

If I time it right, I can just camp all summer and not have to stay home on the weekends and do domestic type things. Although I did notice that I have wild lupine growing in a flower bed out front and it's almost 4 feet high...guess I oughta weed at some point.

Notice we changed out kitty's names? Although their official birth names are Max and Pepper...well Max is about two times the size of his sister and hogs all the food. So DD started calling him Mr. Fattykins and we just started calling the other one Ms. Kittykins.
