The Unofficial Chatterbox Thread! Everyone is Welcome!

White vinegar works quite well as a steam cleaner shampoo. I put 2-3 cups per tank of hot water.

The carpet definitely dries a lot faster and feels very nice and clean on your feet when dry.

Do I think it works as good as carpet shampoo? Yes, almost. The only area that I noticed a difference was an area where our old dog always lays down. It gets very dirty and I don't think it cleaned it quite as well. But all of the other regular areas, even high traffic spots look just as good as if I used shampoo.

You do have a bit of a vinegar smell while shampooing, but not bad. DH couldn't smell the vinegar when he came home. I really do like the feeling of the carpet, not that little bit of sticky feeling that can come with regular shampoo.:thumbsup2

So it's on my list of defintely using again. Plus you can't beat the price.:thumbsup2

Hello,

My bf and I went to the AT&T store. He paid for the new iPhone, which we were told has to be ordered. When it comes in they will allow him to return the old one for a full refund. :thumbsup2 There were a lot of people in the store waiting to buy or fix their cell phones. I was surprised since it was around 3:30pm.

Afterwards we went to a Thai place to have a late lunch. The food was really good and inexpensive. We ordered barbecue chicken, Thai crab fried rice and yellow curry chicken. :)

We went to the mall afterwards and I played cooking mama on the iPhone in the Apple Store. We just walked around and browsed but didn't see anything good. I wanted to get my fav. dragon fruit flavored candy from the Jap store but they sold out :(

Hi Pix! Sounds like a fun day. I pretty much spent the day shampooing the carpet and cleaning the house.

Wow - ok it has been awhile. I had quite a few things quoted to comment on - and then my internet browser closed.

Megan - I do find it quite funny that Vinny is almost to size 3 diapers. This is funny because my kids NEVER made it out of 3's. That is the biggest size they wore. Mind you this is not because they were potty trained by 6 months - both were past the age of 3 - but they still fit in the 3's.

Pix - next time you want to see a movie like UP - you just have to drive to Show Low. John and the kids (i was working - still haven't seen it) were able to see it day one with only about a 1/2 full theatre :lmao:

Alright then - sorry it has been awhile - but it has been a crazy week. John's family came up last Friday - we had a bday party for Alecia - and then on Monday (albeit John's family was still here, watching the kids) we had to drive to the valley for a manager meeting. Meeting was on Tuesday - John won a company contest and a 42 inch tv. Then we went (as an area we also won the contest) to the Dback game. Hit Costco (of course) on Wed and came back home. Wednesday we stayed with has parents at the time share - went fishing Thurs - and were back to work on Fri......

......then it gets crazier (and very sad). On Saturday I am working at John's store because two of his managers were in the valley. Then I get the call from John that I need to close at my store.....one of my managers - nicest guy in the world - got the notice while working that his mom had just been killed in a car accident. She was the sweetest person in the world - we had just seen her Thursday at softball - and both stores are in total shock. Needless to say it has been a very emotional weekend.

:grouphug: Sounds like a rough time for everyone.

Shopping list for our next trip?? A really nice air mattress. I need a squishy bed! Citronella candles, camp chairs, long marshmallow roaster sticks.. really WARM sleeping bags. :lmao:

I was up all night. FREEZING! And something about camping gets my hubby all...you know..;);) I dont THINK SO!! The ground is HARD!! Good thing we bought that minivan. :rolleyes1

Awesome! Fun for everyone ;);)
It must be the cooler night air :rolleyes1

We started with a 9x9 tent, it fits one queen size and one twin wall to wall. The boys would take turns sleeping on the twin or in the slim bit of space by the door. We've outgrown that tent, now we have a very large two room tent (you can roll up the walls and have it be one very large space). If it's a large enough camping spot.. we could use both and everyone now has an air bed. :thumbsup2

The super long toasting forks are great! No worries of little ones too close to the fire, we can fit two marshmallows on one fork. Sturdy enough to toast up some hot dogs too.

We have one pie iron (square shaped) and one very old tonka toaster that we picked up at a garage sale this year. All sorts of creative meals/treats without having to lug cast iron pans and a dutch oven on a short trip.
This is a tonka toaster/ pie iron...

Hubby called.
Airline didn't lose anything, no worries about charging extra (Frontier Airlines).

His machine arrived on the baggage carrousel upside down.
Not sure why considering it would take some hefting for someone to turn it over. :confused3

Should be okay, the case is specially designed for the machine, foam moulding for a tight perfect fit, padding out the machine on all sides.

The next adventure.. waiting for his delivery and how he will organize 32 boxes in the dorm.

Congrats on your DH winning the TV. That's really cool. :thumbsup2

Aww....Dizzy....I'm sorry to hear about what happened to the manager's mother. That's just awful! :sad1: :grouphug::grouphug:

Well it's Disney week! We leave this Saturday. Here's my schedule. It's me, my son (age 8) daughter (10) and my girlfriend and her son. My kids have been to DL 2 times and my gf and son have never been. Me...I need more than one set of hands to count the times Ive been.

Arrive saturday and hit the pool, walk downtown Disney and eat.

Sunday get on the bus and head to Universal Studios. Everyone will get a kick out of this place.

Mon. DL!! First thing I have done and its a tradition is to take a few pics of teh garden in front of the lines to go in. Walk through the tunnel and get goosebumps. We always take the train first. I dont know why we started this but it's something we have done and I will continue to do. After that hit adventure land and critter counter, new orleans square, fontier land. Fantasmic and any parades of course

Tues.- CA.

Wednesday-rest day although we will be doing our character breakfast this day. Park hop later and relax

Thursday- DL again. Toon town, fantasy land and tomorrow land are our lands this day.

Friday is a day where the kids get to the the Discover the magic tour. A tour for kids where they have to go to diferent lands, meet characters and solve a mystery. Its 2+ hours long. After that park hop and shop.

Saturday....back to reality :guilty:

Good Morning!!! Just a quick cranky hi  You see - I should still be sleeping - but the store had computer problems. Good news is I have PC anywhere so problem is solved and I am still in my jammies!!! :cool1:

Dang it - Tmobile finally booted us :headache: Now I need to find a new provider and new phones - they had better be pretty cool too since John is blaming my texting for us getting thrown off :snooty:

I used to have T-Mobile for a long time and then they got rid of some of their towers. It was a big problem because my family members and I never had a signal! My bf's phone was the same too.

I switched to Verizon and it's a lot better. Plus I love my phone (Blackberry Storm), which is similar to an iPhone. My bf just joined AT&T and has the iPhone 3G. This past weekend he upgraded to the iPhone 3GS that is coming out this week.

We're an AT&T wireless family...not because we want to be, but because that's all we can get at our house. If we stand on the far south end of the house we get 2 bars, everywhere else 1 bar. But hey, a bar is a bar is a bar!:rotfl2:

I have no cell phone. I know... Im totally lame. :lmao: We generally have one when we vacation though.. just in case.

We have 3 dead cheapie tracfones (one of which the couch had hidden from us for several months). One of the tracfones is screwed up, it can make/receive calls but you can't hear anybody talking. Now that all three are together.. and dead because we let them expire.. I have no clue which one is broken. :headache:.

E bought a new tracfone for his trip, double minutes for life and it has more features than our cheapies. We have towers everywhere in the metro, never a problem. :goodvibes Convincing him to actually CARRY the phone and keep it ON..not so good.
