Other than that I am enjoying my last day of my 4 day weekend :(

The entire paragraph above as interpreted by me.....DROVE RIGHT PAST ALISON'S AND DIDN'T EVEN STOP TO VISIT.....:lmao: Doesn't she live in Portland? Yeah, huh??:confused3:lmao:

She lives in Vancouver.. Every time we drive by Woodland, I think about you! The next time we go, I will stop by, I promise!! At least to boot the kids out of the car as I drive past..:lmao:

today, i wore my donald duck hat and goofy tie and i had so many weird looks in the train on the way to work. i don't see what the problem is. :confused3 people need magic in their lives. :goodvibes

DBF's birthday is July 3rd which is a Friday which I will have off since the 4th is on a Saturday, but I don't know what we are doing yet.

MIL is July 4th
DH is July 5th

In his famly, his brother is end of June, sister is mid July.
Mine is June 17th.

They've always made a big fuss for 4th of July to "celebrate all the birthdays"

This is the first year that MIL does not have a house, typically we go there.. she makes BBQ (dried out, overcooked and sits out all day.. meat only no vegies), they drink (alot) and shoot off fireworks while burning a year's worth of junk in the backyard. {insert sarcasasm}Yeee-haw!! Just a ton of fun... (borrowing from Dizzy here) :sad2:

We stay overnight in a tent. Drive 3 hours home, shower, eat vegetables and scratch at the mosquito bites.

Oh, and get the car washed as it is now covered in ash from the junk pile "bonfire".

Hey at least it was an incentive for DH to actually get the car washed!!

Our poor car is filthy most of the year, can't wash it most of the winter due to belwo freezing temps and then he puts it off for weeks on end until I start planting car wash coupons in his wallet. :thumbsup2

We thought of camping this year but the state parks require multi day reservations for holiday weekends. I like camping, but not with that many people, for that many days and not during a holiday when the park is noisy and crowded. One or two nights mid week? Perfect! :goodvibes

Do what feels right for you. No one has the right to pressure you into anything that makes you uncomfortable.

I get weird looks all the time.. then again.. I'm kinda odd that way.

Last night I fixed a salad from my garden...turnip greens, 6 types of leaf lettuce, onions & radishes. I'm so excited! Went down yesterday afternoon and bought 3 more tomato plants, 3 bell pepper plants and 6 cucumber plants.

mmmmmm yummy!

I miss having a balcony or patio. I would love to plant some herbs (indoors) but my cat would destroy the plants. She chews on my flower bouquets everytime, roses are her favorite to nibbble ... and knock the vase over.

I know that and I told him that and he got mad at me so idk I am just confused :/

Then he's probably not worth your time. Honestly, if a man does not understand or at least respect your views or feelings then move on! There are plenty out there that will. Good luck to you!

When are you planning on going? I'm gonna be ther on June 6th for my birthday! :woohoo: It's a Saturday so it will probably be packed but that's okay.

I was thinking towards middle or end of June. I'm not sure yet. My b-day is July 2nd but I don't think it would be a good idea to go that week.

I read on the disneyland website that if you have an AP and can get in free on your b-day without the free ticket offer, they offer you some sort of birthday fun card that is equivalent to the cost of 1 day admission to the park. That sounds kinda cool. :)

If he can't respect how you feel then he's not the right person for you. It doesn't mean you are doing something wrong because you aren't! You are being you! Just do what you feel is right in your heart and that's all that matters. :grouphug: Don't waste time on a jerk who doesn't respect you.

:woohoo: for rockin the Disney look :thumbsup2 I've worn a disney shirt, crocs with disney jibbitz and also my lanyard of pins to work and no one thought I was weird. My co-workers liked my pins and kept checking them out. I think it's funny because I have a Disney themed desk......a huge poster of DCA (the very first park map that came out) and they stop and stare at it and ask questions about the park. :rotfl: One of my co-workers actually bought AP's for his wife, 2 kids and himself after I kept talking about it. :rotfl2::lmao:

Ok I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! :worship: Our recital is next week and I only have 4 lyrical dresses, 3 pairs of booty shorts, 1 dress for a Hairspray production number to sew!!!! I also have to alter 3 of Morgan's costumes including some shirts and pants BUT the end is near. Well, until at least I go in tomorrow and they add more for me to do! :lmao:

So far I've sewn 10 raincoats (hand sewed 120 snaps and buttons on those puppies) 4 bench covers, 4 solo costumes, 10 lycra/fringe/sequin skirts, rhinestoned the world out of all of the costumes that came in preordered, sewn a billion straps in place and altered countless costumes that didn't fit right. Not quite up to Melody's standards yet but I'm getting there I think! :lmao:

pix, I love the new sig!

SHAWNA!!! :yay::yay: What are you doing up so late? Thanks for the compliments on my sig :goodvibes

Wow, Hairspray? That sounds fun! My goodness! You are one mean, lean, sewing machine!! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

Speaking of Melody, how is she? I haven't seen her around for a while. I know she's busy too. I miss Alex too!! :(

I got my pin that I won on ebay in the mail today! :woohoo: It's a pin of Donald with the #5 on it that is for CM's who have worked at least 5 years in the park. :yay:

I took my grandma to Nordstrom today. She wanted to get some Clinique and to also get their free gift. They have a cool free gift that is exclusive to Nordstrom. It's a nice Trina Turk bag and some cosmetic products inside. It's free with any purchase of $25. Here's a pic:

While my grandma as at the Clinique counter, I mosied on over to the Philosophy counter. I got the gift set of their new apricots & cream scent. It smells really good! :lovestruc One bottle can be used as shampoo, shower gel or bubble bath and the other is body lotion.

From the mall we headed over to Cost Plus World Market where I got some bath towels. My grandma bought some cookies from there. We then stopped at the market for some groceries and grabbed some Popeye's for dinner and headed home.

Everyone here loves Philosophy products. I've never tried their stuff, what do you like? Do you know if their body wash is any good? I need a body wash.

Now if it were me, I would give him a big, juicy, wet kiss complete with tongue. And then look him in the eye, tell him "Nope, sorry, you're not a good enough kisser" turn around and walk off.:lmao:

You definitely don't want a man around that is pushy like that. I say dump the chump and find a better one!:thumbsup2 It's not a good sign if they don't respect your feelings right from the start.

She lives in Vancouver.. Every time we drive by Woodland, I think about you! The next time we go, I will stop by, I promise!! At least to boot the kids out of the car as I drive past..:lmao:

Seriously, you should stop by. We are about 2 miles off the freeway, I have a very kid friendly house, trampoline w/net, swimming pool set up in summer, giant yard. Oh and most importantly a beer/wine cooler/soda pop fridge in the garage...so makes sitting on the deck and watching kids lots of fun!:thumbsup2

Well I guess since no one else will say it, I will. The reason they were staring at you was because mixing Donald Duck and Goofy clothing together is just a fashion faux paus. Sort of like plaid and polka dots together. The next time I would try wearing the Goofy tie along with the Goofy hat and I bet you won't get nearly as many weird looks.:thumbsup2:lmao:

Note to self....avoid visiting Bernice on 4th of July.:lmao: Do you have any National or Federal parks or BLM land around? If you don't want to be in a campground, they normally allow you to just pull off the road anywhere and camp.:thumbsup2

Do what feels right for you. No one has the right to pressure you into anything that makes you uncomfortable.

Unless it involves dragging reluctant family member to Disney.

I do believe that Martha Stewart has finally met her match. I just love the idea of sewing, but actually hate sewing. I could spend hours and hours in craft stores dreaming, but never actually buying anything because I hate being artsy craftsy.

Everyone here loves Philosophy products. I've never tried their stuff, what do you like? Do you know if their body wash is any good? I need a body wash.

The best body wash I have found so far is Winco's generic heavy moisturizing body wash. It runs about $1.98 a bottle, it is in a white bottle with blue writing on the front. I believe it say's compare to Dove Deep Moisturizing body wash. Anyway, it has lots of moisturizers in it and leaves your skin feeling moisturized...great for dry skin.:thumbsup2
