I'm craving a diet coke.

I wonder if I can con.. I mean ask:rolleyes1 one of my boys to go to the store across the street.

:lmao::lmao::lmao: I bet you can CONvince one of them to go.:rotfl2:

Well ladies, I need to go finish watering the garden and getting my housework done. Then I'm going to sit out on the deck and read for a bit. I definitely needed this extra day off. Have a Great Afternoon!:):):)

It's awesome that he's learning. See sometimes there are reasons for everything in life and you just don't know them right way. this was obviously something very good that came out of your move. :thumbsup2

I totally agree with you there!!! Sadly we got a lot of crap from family that moving to a small town would hurt him - I am just glad that was not the case. :thumbsup2

Where is Pix with that priority chart when we need her :rotfl2:

Have a great day!!!

:goodvibes

That's always been our motto..

There is a reason for everything, we don't always know the WHY but we can deal with it until we do know.

Looks liek I'm off across the street after all.. hubby is coaxing me out the door . :flower3:

Phew!!! Finally navigated the stupid disney shopping website :faint: I had gotten all done - and then my internet went down . Shipping was atrocious, but I had a 30% off code to offset those costs - so hopefully the stuff will get here by Saturday :sad2:

We had a pretty nifty weekend! We went to my moms house, and even though its only a couple of hours away, its totally like a mini vacation. I love it! The weather was perfect, the kids were awesome... My mom was in a good mood... The babies didnt even cry or fuss much! The slept in their porta crib almost all night, both nights.. It was a really nice trip.

My mom stocked us up on diapers.. We got 3 of those huggies naturals in size two, three in size three, and a case of huggies in each size. should get us through the next couple of months! :cool1: Is it wrong that I pimp my husband out for diapers?? :rolleyes1:lmao::lmao: My mom had him working his tushy off.. Even the kids worked for her. We totally weeded her yard.. Sorry.. THEY totally weeded her yard..;):lmao: and mowed the lawn, unpacked more boxes.. and washed her car. Oh.. and rearranged her living room. Mikalah even puked on her floor.. Wasnt that nice of her? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

The BEST part?? My kids slept all the way home. All FOUR kids. ALL the way!:cool1: Hubby and I chatted it up the whole way, it was great. As Im sure you all can imagine, we dont get much time to conversate these days...We discussed our up coming Disney trip.. You know, the one we are taking next year.. ;):lmao: We are figuring out ways to cut costs.. and Alex has let it be known he wants to go to Universal, so we talked about how that would work. It was just a lovely weekend all the way around.

Hello,

Hope you all had a great memorial day weekend. :goodvibes I can't believe I have to work tomorrow :( It was nice having 3 days to sleep in.

My bf had to work today, which was a bummer. He had to work yesterday as well. :sad2: I ate lunch at my fav pizza place. They have a mini pizza combo meal that comes with a salad and drink for $10. Afterwards, I decided to go out and just hit the mall. I remembered I had a $10 coupon for American Eagle Outfitters and found some jeans. I also bought 2 shirts from the Disney Store, that were on sale 2 for $20. They look like this:

Stopped at Nordstrom and noticed they are having their half-yearly sale. I didn't see anything good though. I also went to Joann's fabric store and tried to find a canvas bag for the iron-on patches I bought. The bags they had were too small. :( I did find a cute Tink patch that was on clearance for $1.97. :thumbsup2

I remembered I had 2 coupons for GAP so I ordered a bag from their website and got it from $40 down to $15 with free shipping. :yay::woohoo: It's a large tote bag and it will work well with the iron-on patches I have. :)

I wish I could have barbecued this weekend but my dad's outdoor grill is broken. Also my older sister and bro didn't come down this weekend.

Good morning all! I hope everyone had a great 3-day weekend!

I got so sunburned at the races Saturday but we had alot of fun.

Hello,

I am online for a just a quick post and then it's off to Costco. My mom and my little sister will go too. I wanted to get Jack's Famous Salsa.....I don't have a clue as to why it's famous but it's GOOD! Best of all, it does not burn my tongue! :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

After work I took my little sister to the farmer's market. We got homemade tamales that were really really good. They even have pineapple flavored ones, which I know Shawna would never touch with a 10 ft pole! ;) :rotfl: J/k!

We also got a small bag of Kettle Korn. A small bag had so much popcorn in it. popcorn:: Yummy! :lovestruc I also stopped by my fav. hummus stand and got Tzatziki (customer, sea salt, yogart, oil, garlic, spices, lemon juice). It's really really good and tastes good with pita chips or pita bread. It even tastes good with tortilla chips. :)

Do you guys have anything exciting planned for the Memorial Day weekend?

Pix, I love your new siggy picture! :thumbsup2

I'm glad you had a good time Megan!

We will work on speech everyday - the good news is he is pretty easy going and ok with it - as long as we bribe him with something fun afterwards. The speech teacher has done a lot of research on apraxia (even having the district sponsor a video session with the apraxia guru) and repetition (as I learned initially) is the key. Basically - the way that normal speech develops takes him A LOT of work. I am so proud of the kid for how far he has come. Here is an example...the word "UP"

First stage of speech "uh"
Second stage "up-pa"
Final stage "up"

It is like this with every word - and she is going to isolate the sounds that will help him the most with every day speech. If he practices these every day the more clearer his speech will be.
Boy, I wish my mom bribed me when I had to take speech therapy as a kid, but I only had a speech impediment (couldn't pronounce my "r"s properly, a pain when you have an "r" in your name, and used to slur, dropping consonants, whenever I spoke "too fast" because my brain was working faster than my mouth was). Fortunately, I have very little problem with speech now and have no shame in talking in front of crowds of people (love engaging in a good debate), something I used to be terrified of because of the mockery of others. I hope your son's speech improves vastly, like mine has, and that it doesn't prove to be a hindrance to him when he's older.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I'm just taking my break and eating baked cheddar and sour cream Lay's. popcorn:: It's really busy today at work but it beats having nothing to do.

This afternoon I went home for lunch and made a B.L.T. sandwich. It was really yummy. I can't believe I'm getting used to eating raw tomatoes....this coming from someone who only liked tomatoes in ketchup form. :rotfl:

My bf and I are planning an early trip to DL for my b-day. I don't want to go during the week of my b-day because it will be busy for 4th of July weekend. Plus it would be great to book dining plans in advance. :yay:

I wore my Mickey Mouse shirt to work today and my co-workers like it (the one shown in my previous post). The UP shirt I need to exchange because it's too big and the color doesn't look too good on me. I can't wait to see the movie in 3-D. :3dglasses

We invited E's family to join us for 4th of July, they do a really big fireworks display in Minneapolis, shooting it off across the Mississippi River off of a barge.
He will be missing my birthday while at his training in Colorado.. when he called his mom he made a big point of saying "and we will celebrate Bernice's birthday too" Aww, my sweetie sticking up for me :lovestruc

Hopefully the message will be passed along.. you see they have ignored my birthday for the past oooooo 16 years :rolleyes1

Me ? bitter??

yes of course!

:laughing::rotfl::lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Dh has a week off for the 4th of July.. No clue what we are doing. Probably just hanging around the house.

You need to start getting coupons for lunch. $10 for lunch!:scared1::lmao:

Last night I fixed a salad from my garden...turnip greens, 6 types of leaf lettuce, onions & radishes. I'm so excited! Went down yesterday afternoon and bought 3 more tomato plants, 3 bell pepper plants and 6 cucumber plants.

DBF's birthday is July 3rd which is a Friday which I will have off since the 4th is on a Saturday, but I don't know what we are doing yet.
