We watched the memorial for the Lakewood Officers today. It was on tv ALL DAY. They started with the processional at McChord AFB. Right by my house, went to the Lakewood PD to pick up the families, hearses, and all of Lakewood PD. That was INTENSE. They started lining the officers up at 6 am. The cut off limit for the base was 2000 cars... They had over flow. Seriously. They said it was unprecedented. NEVER have they ever had a procession like this. Rough estimates were putting it around maybe 3000 vehicles participating. CRAZY!

Check out the slide show. It was something to see. Really. I was going to take the kids to watch it, but it was only 12 degrees this morning. TOO COLD! So we watched on TV. The procession lasted like 4 hours or something!
Anyways.. It was really moving to watch. one of the officers kids got up and spoke.. Heartbreaking. There were officers from EVERYWHERE! I have to say, those Mounties have some impressive uniforms. There were over a thousand there.. a full on sea of red! There were cars from all over too. Even some from Minneapolis! It was really neat to watch. Even if it did last all day. I felt bad for all those officers.. They had to be starving! The whole deal lasted about 12 hours for them.
