The Unofficial Chatterbox Thread! Everyone is Welcome!

The Ebelskiver pan is Nordic Ware, locally made right here in the twin cities. :)
I think they have an outlet store, south suburb-- too far off our usual area. We're northeast suburbs, or technically a suburb of St Paul.. but I don't identify ourselves as that since we are Minneapolis snobs. :lmao:
Nordic Ware is good quality, lasts for years and years.:thumbsup2

Cool :). At least I got to have a free sample of their peppermint bark while I was there :rotfl: I also tried their handmade vanilla marshmallows but it wasn't that great

Our family will be getting there sometime Thursday, staying Thursday night and Friday night, and leaving sometime on Saturday morning. I do know that one night DH wants to look into Pinocchio's Workshop so just him and I can hang out (this is the first year that one of us has to work on our anniversary :sad1: we ALWAYS do a trip alone) We figured since we were already planning this trip we would have to include it too. So you get the Dizzy family on anniversary trip - but we WILL be there!!! :cool1:

There is a swinging gondola with your name on it! :teeth: :rotfl:

Awww, sure Pix...you can ride the swinging gondolas with us :lmao:
Which us are you talking about here?
Swinging Gondolas of Death are not on my itinerary :snooty:
As for Pix.. I'm sure she would just LOVE to hang out with you there as you both fall to your doom into the lagoon of World of Color..

oh wait, does it have water yet?
hmm this could get uhh messy

Oh good, less clean up when the wheel of doom comes crashing down. :thumbsup2

yeah, that works...just let them crash into the big pit and then fill with water afterwards....nobody will ever know.:thumbsup2 it can become one of those Disney legends that leaves people wondering for years.:rotfl2:

Hi guys!

I need some suggestions for some good books to take with me on vacation. I've read all the Twilight books already. I don't like romance books. Anyone have any ideas?

Janet Evonovich!! I think that is how her last name is spelled. I read almost every one of them while I was pregnant with the twins. GREAT books! They are a quick, easy funny read!

We watched the memorial for the Lakewood Officers today. It was on tv ALL DAY. They started with the processional at McChord AFB. Right by my house, went to the Lakewood PD to pick up the families, hearses, and all of Lakewood PD. That was INTENSE. They started lining the officers up at 6 am. The cut off limit for the base was 2000 cars... They had over flow. Seriously. They said it was unprecedented. NEVER have they ever had a procession like this. Rough estimates were putting it around maybe 3000 vehicles participating. CRAZY!

Check out the slide show. It was something to see. Really. I was going to take the kids to watch it, but it was only 12 degrees this morning. TOO COLD! So we watched on TV. The procession lasted like 4 hours or something!

Anyways.. It was really moving to watch. one of the officers kids got up and spoke.. Heartbreaking. There were officers from EVERYWHERE! I have to say, those Mounties have some impressive uniforms. There were over a thousand there.. a full on sea of red! There were cars from all over too. Even some from Minneapolis! It was really neat to watch. Even if it did last all day. I felt bad for all those officers.. They had to be starving! The whole deal lasted about 12 hours for them.

:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: but seriously Staley :lmao: that last line kind of lost it for me :rotfl2::grouphug:

Thanks! I'm heading to the library later so I'll look for these.

Intense day for your neck of the woods Staley.
I searched our local news online (TV and newspaper), just a short article and no mention if a group of Minneapolis officers came to pay respect.

We had a blizzard warning in south metro and storm warnings in north metro yesterday and continuing today. Our first big snowfall thus all other news is second best.
Makes me wanna slap the editors and say duhhhh its suppose to snow in MN

Then again.. the weather played a part in a woman's death last night, she crashed off the highway and sank her car in a pond. :guilty:

Muahahahhahaaaaaaaaaaaaa another hyena to join the dark side of Evanovich readers.

:rotfl2:

One for the Money is the first book, just follow the numbers and you will do just fine.:) Personally I think the more she wrote of the series the better the story lines and character development. The first ones were predictable, formulaic little reads. I just finished Eleven on Top .. it was good!

oh yeah...
Metro Girl
Motor Mouth
are good Evanovich books too, they are not part of the Plum (numbered) series. Murder mystery, humor, touch of romance and NASCAR thrown in for good measure. I kinda wish she had written more of that series.

:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: but seriously Staley :lmao: that last line kind of lost it for me :rotfl2::grouphug:

:lmao: Isnt it awful that that was all I could think of. How hungry they must all be.. How much their butts must hurt. DANG!! Ill bet they have to pee! I dont mean the Lakewood PD, or the families.. (they all got fed..;)) But the folks who DIDNT know them. I would be hungry.. MY butt would hurt! I would totally have to pee!

Okay, so I got One for the Money and 2nd book and two Dean Koonst books, Lightning and, um, I don't remember , oops. :rotfl: Plus I'm going to borrow The Lovely Bones from my mom. I want to re-read that one since the movie is coming out soon. I think I'll be good with 5 books.

I have some pictures..

Jasmine.. She sure has gotten big, hasnt she?:lmao:
