I may have the biggest ratio of years as a member with the fewest posts.

This is not something I mean to do but everytime I see a question posted, someone has already answered it.

Can anyone top me as the ultimate lurker???

I can't top you but I will say that even if it has an answer already, I answer it, too. That is, if I know the answer. Always like to add my two cents. I'm amazed at how much I do NOT know, though!! I just started reading this not too awful long ago but my family and I have been going to Disney World for years. I thought we were experts until we got on here!

I cannot match you as the ultimate lurker. However, even after many, many trips, I feel like

when some questions are posed. I generally post trivial answers.

My DH says he's the ultimate lurker since he's never posted anything but asks me what's going on all the time..

I don't think I can beat your stats, but I'm close. Love to read what's out here, but not very timely in order to contribute.

My DH was the same way but he finally caved a few months ago and signed up for his own account so he could watch the madness unfold online at work. I beleive it was a post defaming the fabulous Tonga Toast that finally pushed him over the edge to respond. He has about a grand total of 4 posts.

I'm right there with you. I've been reading the boards for years and rarely post as well. I always figure if a question's been answered I don't really need to add anything. I'm not one to jump into the heated discussions either. I do enjoy reading them sometimes, though.:)

DH got a kick out of your response...However, he says he'll always remain a lurker, nothing will bring him out of his silence, I'm sure there are many others out there....

I thought I was bad :lmao: I only come out of lurkdom when I have a trip planned like now...

I had to go look at my most recent post. I knew I was close but I do not quite beat you.

I'm often on here while nursing my daughter. This means I can use one hand to click, but typing is tough. I always tell myself that I'll post once I am done, but then I end up plaing with her or doing something else instead.

Glad to see I'm not alone. I rarely post either. I agree that all of the good answers seem to be already given :confused3

I feel like I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. I've been lurking here since December 2006 (avidly reading!) but didn't actually join until recently. So when people look at my join date I wonder if they're secretly wondering if I know what I'm talking about LOL

Disboards rocks I've learned so much from everyone.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I also only post when I have something new to add that all of you other knowledgeable Disers haven't already posted.

Since this isn't really a trip planning thread, I'm going to move it to the community board.

Can't top you, I guess I'm an "average" poster, but DO wonder at times how in the heck there are people with 20-30K posts no matter HOW long they have been here! :lmao: I mean, I post quite a bit, but it would have to be an outright full time job to get that many posts, even over a long time frame.

I'm with you though on posting answers to things. I realize this is a great community, but I always feel funny asking questions, or sometimes even giving answers, to things that have been asked\answered hundreds of times over. It's really hard sometimes to not say "do you know how to use the search function, or Google"? I never do that, because I think it is rude, but really, how many times does someone need to ask something like "Are extra magic hours worth it"? :confused3

Ah well, it's all in fun, but I think sometimes people relate a high post count to having some kind of "power" and simply post as often as possible, in any thread possible, just to get the number up, LOL.

I seem to get the bulk of my posts defending Michael Vick and debating college football. Other than that, I don't seem to post a lot.
