After the Beauty and the Beast show was over, we all filed out of the theater like a herd of cattle. We stopped on the street and took a minute to figure out what we wanted to do next.
ToT maybe? Um, no thanks! No one in my family is willing to ride that one.
DH absolutely LOVES Rock N Roller Coaster though, so we headed that way to check the wait time.
According to the sign, the wait was 50 minutes!!! I couldn’t believe it because the park wasn’t crowded at all. We were not willing to wait that long so we headed for the FP machines, but before we got there we heard a CM yelling out, “It’s walk-on folks! Don’t listen to the sign, listen to the human!” This was music to DH’s ears… not so much to mine. You see, DH had been nagging at us to ride this with him ever since 2008! DD had a great excuse up until now… she hadn’t been tall enough. My excuse had been the same all along… I was just too chicken!
I still haven’t figured out what happened. Maybe I had a temporary lapse of sanity, I don’t know, but somehow DH talked us into riding with him. And it was indeed walk-on! I hate it when there’s no line so I don’t have time to come up with an excuse and find the chicken exit!
I remember standing in that preshow room and being so scared that I thought I was going to throw up, pass out or both!
Right before we got on, DD started to freak out too because she asked if it went upside down, and well, you all know the answer to that one! She wanted to get off, but DH told her it was too late. That poor child was scared to death!
(I am such a dork that my heart is racing just writing about that ride!
)
We sat down, got harnessed in and then waited for maybe 10 seconds, but it felt like 1,000 years to me. I honestly was so scared that I thought I might have a heart attack! Then the light turned green and that thing took off like a bat out of you know where!
OH-MY-GOODNESS!
Words cannot express what that felt like! They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and in this case, I have to agree…
That is what PURE terror looks like my friends! PURE TERROR!
And look at my DH back there laughing at us! I could just smack him!
I really don’t know how, but we did survive the ride, however, I will NEVER ride it again. I’ll admit that after that initial shock of the take-off, it was pretty fun, but my chicken heart just can’t handle that much excitement!
And what did DD think about it…
DH gave me a thumbs up so DD had to put in her two cents worth with a BIG thumbs down!
She was sooooo mad at him for taking her on that ride that she gave him the silent treatment for the next hour! What was it we learned in the last update… “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” Yep, I can attest to that, and it starts young!
Goodbye RnRC!
DH knew it was going to be a long day if he didn’t make things right with DD, so he suggested we go do some shopping. A man knows he is in hot water when HE suggests a shopping trip!
We spent quite a bit of time roaming around in here…
I tried again to get a picture of that store window.
I love the line of Disney kitchen items.
