The trip of a million SCREAMS!

:rotfl:
Sounds like we just missed each other at CM! We were there on 4/1...right after we saw you at MK. Donald's hat fell off that night. He took off running, more like waddling, to the kitchen.

When you said Pluto gave you the finger I got a little nervous....

DH also complained when we checked in because I asked the castmember about leaving Freddie for another Diser and then had to explain the whole “Discot” thing. DH rolled his eyes and walked away. Then he wanted to know why I have to tell everyone about that stupid crocker.

HA! I had this same conversation--did you notice my DH and DD13 standing in the back--had to coerce my teen to get our picture! She said---enough with the lime, you have a lime green shirt, LGMH everywhere, a TFW lanyard, and a really cheap lime green sun visor that she wouldn't let me wear (remember me carrying it???) My DD10 is a much better sport! But actually, DH enjoyed meeting you all and loved the Laugh comedy club! Thanks for the cool buttons too! Got a lot of attention at splash mountain.
WWhen I got to the table, Mickey was there waiting for me and he gave me the Focker Watch look!
Hey, we were there on Tuesday, dang, wish I had worn more Lime green then--I was a little afraid my teen would have a breakdown, especially after waking her up early.

We went back to OKW. The bus took forever since we were the 4th stop. Mr Diz confessed that he told Mickey to give me the "I'm watching you" signal.
Rats. But there have been occurances of CM's giving The Look, so I know word's getting around! But way to go DH!
By the time we got to Tink’s Treasure, someone was already there. I was disappointed. That little sissy couldn’t even wake up Tink. She kept saying, “Wake up Tink” but nothing was happening. I was disgusted and walked away. I bet Tink heard her, but just ignored her.:rotfl:

:lmao:

Since the waking up Tink part of our plan was ruined, we moved on. I went to Dumbo and there was already a 20 minute wait. Girl and I rode – she loves Dumbo! Just as we sat down I smelled something and it wasn’t pretty. Mr. Diz was standing at the side and I looked him, fanned my hand in front of my nose, then pinched my nose with one hand and pointed to Girl with the other hand. Mr Diz nodded and gave me the thumbs up sign.
When we got off Dumbo, I asked Mr Diz for the diapers.

Mr Diz: What are you talking about?
Me: I have to change the baby’s diaper.
Mr Diz complaining: Man! I just moved the stroller over to Winnie the Pooh while you were on the ride and now you’re telling me I have to go back and get it?!
Me: I gave you the sign
Mr Diz: What sign?
Me getting mad: I can’t believe you don’t even listen to me when I’m giving you sign language! What did you think it meant when I was fanning my nose, then pinched my nose as I pointed to Girl?
Mr Diz: Oh, I thought you were telling me to move the stroller over to Winnie the Pooh.
:rotfl:

I think he just says this crazy stuff to crack me up. Doesn’t everyone know that pinching your nose means something stinks?

Yes, I do remember that. Mr Diz said your DH must be like him - not really part of this whole Focker thing, but just goes with it. He even asked your DH "You're not one of them, are you?" And I thought your DD13 was embarrassed. I can't wait until our kids are old enough to embarrass!

Oooo - I can't wait to hear about your attention at Splash Mtn. Can you believe that when we were at Epcot, me wearing my Team Focker Watch Tshirt and Lanyard, not one person asked me what it meant? Even DH was surprised.

We walk over to Winnie the Pooh and a lady with a Dream Team bag was standing at the entrance. We got in line and the lady started walking around, right there in front of the ride entrance. I read in an article that Disney has a computer that tells the CM what time and where to go for giving away the dreams. Like it might say, go to the Electric Umbrella in Epcot and give the third person in line this dream. So I know that just by approaching this member, we aren’t going to get a dream. Besides we’ve already tried this twice. The first time, the guy was nice, but didn’t offer us anything. The second time I was on BTMRR with DS and the Dream Team came to the exit, right where Mr. Diz was waiting for us. They were going to give away lanyards and pins. He talked to one of the CMs and told him how we this was our second trip and not received anything. The CM told him he would give him a pin set, but he couldn’t. He had to give it at the exit of the ride to those who got off the ride. I missed that pin set by 2 minutes.

The whole time we’re in line for the ride, I’m watching this lady. There was not a lot of people around. She went and sat on the bench right outside of Pooh’s play area. This is really bugging me. You see, I am VERY competitive. I am so competitive that I once faked a broken arm just because my sister had broken hers.

So the whole time I’m on the ride, I’m sulking a little because I haven’t been given a dream and since all this dream stuff started, this is our third trip and we have been in the parks a total of 10 full days and 2 half days. And I keep reading on the boards how this person and that person got a dream and I WANT A DREAM! I’m trying to think of how I can get one. Then I’m thinking, if we don’t get one this trip, we’re going to have to keep planning trips until I get a dream.
When the ride ends, I’m hopeful that the Dream Lady will be waiting for us. But she wasn’t. She was still outside and now she was in Pooh’s play area talking to people, but not giving away dreams. I tell Mr. Diz, she is waiting for something to happen. Maybe whoever throws trash away in that trashcan wins the dream! So I walk over to the trash can close to her, passing 2 others on my way and throw something away. Nothing happened. Maybe she’s waiting for someone to sit on that bench she was sitting on. Nothing. We started to walk toward Snow White’s Adventure and she was just slightly behind us to the right. I was not going to initiate contact. She picked up her pace and started talking to us. I am sooooo hopeful now. She makes comments about how cute we are with our shirts – we’re all wearing Incredibles tshirts. Asks us where we’re going now. Suggests we do It’s A Small World. We tell her we’re going to Snow White and she is surprised that doesn’t scare the baby. Then she tells us to have a good day and walks away. What!!! Where’s my dream? She had a clicker on her and every time she talked to someone, she was pushing that button. I guess she had so many people she had to talk to before she gave away her dream. Well, let the games begin, sister! I AM GETTING A DREAM TODAY!

We rode Snow White, then used our Fast Pass at Peter Pan. Again, I’m not noticing so much on these rides because I’m still strategizing in my head on how I can get a dream. We got off the ride and guess what? We got a dream!!!!!!!! At the exit, CMs were handing out Dream Fast Passes. I was so excited, I felt like a celebrity!

Thank goodness we finally got a dream so that I could enjoy myself.

Here we are in our Incredibles shirts

I love that you threw away your trash to figure out the dreams...

Let me tell you something about our Incredibles shirts. Our last 3 trips, we have all worn our shirts one day out of the trip.
It gets us lots of attention and we love it. It also usually gets us free stuff. I can’t tell you how many people have stopped me to ask where we got our shirts (we got them at the Disney Store). The down side: We hear all day long, “Hey, there’s the Incredibles.” We expect it. Even after hearing it for the 20th time, we expect it and we expect to hear it more. This trip, I just replied, “Yes, we are an incredible family.” We saw one guy wearing a tshirt just like ours, but he was the only one in his group. I told him I thought he was supposed to spend the day with us. One little boy, about 4, asked me if we really are the Incredibles. I told him yes and told him Hamster is Dash and Girl is Jack, Jack. He wanted to know where Violet was, but he said, that girl that does this and circled his arms like he was putting up a force field. He kept asking me why we didn’t bring her. I think he really believed me. Then we saw another Incredible family. There were about 6 of them. Mr. Diz said to one of them, “Hey, you stole our idea.” He was joking, but the girl looked at him and said, “Sorry.” And she meant it. She really thought he was mad. We had a good laugh about that!

We used up our dream fast passes. We rode Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan again. This time I could actually enjoy them. I had to ride Space Mountain by myself – we won’t let Hamster ride it, even though he really wants to. He just rode BTMRR for the first time in Feb.
We were going to go to Epcot, since I promised Hamster, but Hamster said before we left we had to ride his favorite ride. This ride used to be POTC. He declared Splash Mountain his favorite. He’s never even been on Splash Mountain. I refuse to ride that one, so Mr. Diz and Hamster rode it while Girl and I watched from the bridge.

Can you spot the 2 Incredibles shirts?

We couldn’t leave MK without getting a Dole Whip Float. Drinking it is not enough for Girl, she has to scoop at the same time.

Dolewhip.jpg

Well, I told you, we had never been here this early. As soon as 9am hit, it was like a stampede. We didn’t realize we would have to run like wild maniacs to get through our plan!

I have never got my butt there on time for opening of any park. I try...but always fail!

OMG! I am so glad to hear someone elses DH is like mine...:rotfl:

Husbands...?:headache:

Thank Goodness! I was getting worried that you were going to spend the whole trip hunting and strategizing on how to locate & conquer the DT! ;)

We were there for 10 days in Jan. Not even a glance from a DT member... Oh well...I'll try in Oct.

We went back to OKW. The bus took forever since we were the 4th stop. Mr Diz confessed that he told Mickey to give me the "I'm watching you" signal.
I would poop my pants if my DH did something like that for me! How very thoughtful of your DH :goodvibes

I really laughed out loud for this one! TOO funny!! I can see my DH doing the same thing :lmao:

Of course :rotfl2:

:woohoo: Thank goodness for that, we're going for 14 days in August and I can see I'll be exactly the same!

Yay!!! You got a dream!!! :cool1:

You know, I'm at Disneyland at least once a week and I have NEVER gotten a dream. I too am a Dream CM stalker! Once I see them walking around, I follow them.... hiding behind trash cans and bushes! :lmao: DH is absolutely mortified when I do this. I WANT A DREAM, DARN IT!!!

I forgot to mention that in the morning, after we got our Dream Fast Pass, we did the Laugh Floor. Just before entering Laugh Floor, Mr. Diz commented that he thinks Diser sightings are a myth and not one person has commented about the lanyard or LGMHs. We were waiting for the doors to open and there was a girl and her husband(or boyfriend - I will call him husband) standing next to us. She looked at me and said, "I'm laughing at your lanyard." So I asked her if she is on the Dis and she said yes, but she is a lurker. I gave them both "The look." Her DH said he felt proud to get "The look" on his birthday. Mr. Diz told him not to feel so good because Ms. Diz is easy and will give "the look" to anyone. I asked "The Lurker" what her screen name is and she said she doesn't even have one - strictly a lurker. I told her she must get one and join the group. She laughed. Lurker - if you're out there - Hello! Did you get a screen name?

We headed over to Epcot. Hamster got to do his create a robot thing. It was a lot of fun for him. I recommend this if you have a little boy. Everyone gets to put together a robot, so even Girl got one.

Remember how I said we kept getting comments about our shirts? We were walking in World Showcase, around Canada and UK, just before you get to the boardwalk exit, when this guy starts yelling at us. “Hey, you’re the Incredibles. You’re famous. Can I take your picture?” Mr Diz and I looked at each other. We didn’t know what to think. We’ve been hearing all day, “There’s the Incredibles” but no one had asked to take our picture. Why would this crazy guy even want our picture? So I just told him, Yes, we are very Incredible and we posed for a picture. I considered giving him the “I’m watching you” look and explaining it, but Mr. Diz was already getting mad at me because I kept telling everyone about it. I couldn’t believe no one had asked me about my lanyard, so I decided I would start pointing it out to people. Every time we rode a ride, I would tell CMs that if they saw anymore green lanyards like mine, to give them the signal. Mr. Diz was also hungry because it was about 7:30 and we ate a huge breakfast, shared a Dole Whip Float and that was it. Sometimes his stomach gets in the way of his attitude.

Side note: After returning from our trip, I was on the disboards and our photo appeared. Turns out it was IBelieve207 and her DS. She noticed my lanyard when she was looking over her photos. I wish she would have noticed my lanyard at Epcot. Her DS only got Mr Diz and me, cut off our 2 cutest Incredibles. IBelieve said it was DS first time being a Papparazi.:rotfl:

We decided to go back to OKW and Mr Diz would get something to eat at their counter service – Goods To Go. Mr. Diz was very unhappy with his burger. They have a very limited menu. He loves the food courts the other resorts have – with all the choices. And, Goods To Go does not stay open very late. One night, we got off the bus and went here to get a soda and it was already closed. I think it was only 10pm. There were about 10 other people who walked from the bus to here with us. No one could believe they were closed. This is another reason Mr. Diz did not like OKW – the counter service. Another example of how his stomach gets in the way of his attitude. ( I think that statement is so tag worthy!)

Good to know about the early closing counter service at OKW. I will have to make sure to keep something in the room for late night hunger pains.
