Rick, I would be more than happy to switch places with you. I used to think I'd make a good nurse (I have a strong stomach ), but I think I'm lacking a bit on compassion. There! I've said it! We've only been home an hour, and I'm ready to run out of the house and keep running. I'm a terrible person. I shouldn't be so hard on him. His back hurts. Poor thing.

Lewski, I was upset last night too. I think it's because I was really embarrassed that we got reprimanded. I told DH about it today and that we really should behave because this is a Disney site and it should be rated "G", and instead of saying something nice to make me feel better, he just made me feel ever dumber. So that's probably why I'm not gung ho on playing nurse.

Oh, helmets. By law in NY state, children have to wear helmets when bike riding.

What can't I do? Hmmmmmm. Oh, I know. I've always been embarrassed by this, but I never could do a cartwheel.

Thank goodness my hubby has a cast-iron stomach. 'Cause I'm determined...and will eventually be able to make a semi-perfect pancake.

The meet was here in Atlanta, Lewski. As for not knowing, I think it probably due to having that seperate meet board they put in here some time back. It makes it generally difficult to alert people to when meets are happening and keeping up with them. Many don't know about the board, most never look at it. Keeping the meet threads off the CB has really dramatically reduced attendance.

There is going to be a meet in Chicago at the end of April, probably at one of the Gino's pizza joints.

Bichon Barb, glad your DH is home. But I totally understand how it can get frustrating being the "nurse". ohanafamily does NOT make a good patient so it's hard to follow the doctor's instructions with him.

Good evening everyone, I love the new digs and I can't believe we are on page 6 already, you guys have been busy whilst I was asleep and at work (although I was not aslwwp and at work at the same time!!). I might hang around in the hot tub for a while. Did we get the steam room and sauna built on the deck too?
I sorted out my costume for work on Friday. We went to the costume shop after work today. We decided on Peter Pan as the theme. Two female teachers are going to be Peter Pan and Wendy. I am going as Tinkerbell and the male teacher is Captain Hook. The classroom assistants are going to be the lost boys. It should be good fun.
So what do people have planned for this evening? I need to go to the supermarket. I need food for home and some ingredients for work tomorrow. We have been learning to follow written instructions in our Literacy lessons and tomorrow the children are going to follow a recipe and make some fruit buns (29 kids baking at the same time, am I mad???? )
So I guess I better get going.

I have great news about the dreaded SCIENCE FAIR! I was whining about it all last week....parent projects, all done by parents and how embarrassed DS9 was because his looked quite weak compared to the obviously "daddy-done" ones.......well, DS9's science teacher called today and said to be sure to go to the SCIENCE FAIR tonight because DS9's project got 2ND PLACE!!!! Wooohooo! Can't tell DS9 yet because his teacher wants it to be a surprise!!!! I was almost in tears when she told me that it was obvious he had done it himself and he should be proud......well I am bursting with pride and just had to share this with you!!!........DS9's basketball team has lost almost every game this season so winning is just not something we're used to, haha.....

Love the new house and hope to see you in the spanking new TV room later tonight!

well ill be the one to tell you what happened....ok keisha castle-hughes (nominee for whale rider in the academy awards) started by proclaiming that she would love to meet MY MAN!!!!! and then continued to say he was a "stud".....so then this stupid reporter guy goes over to johnny and yells to keisha"hey come over here theres someone i want you to meet....." so theyre on camera meeting each other!!!!!!! my man and this...this ..this sgirl!

ahem, ahem. our man my dear? since when have u got single claims on him?? haha! anyway, yes jealousy is boiling over, but it motivates me to speed up my scrip writing. i've already got johnny's perfect part!!! oh, and i am sulking for johnny. but he didn't seem too upset. i think him and sean must be friends. btw, i had an eye-opener. johnny is toooooooo hot, and sean penn isn't hard on the eyes. johnny is toooooooooo hot if i didn't already mention that. especially with the hair and stuff. sigh...

Hi everyone! Chatty as always! My feet go numb having to catch up on everything! Can't say much, but everyone that has still the flu bug in their homes, I hope you all get better soon! Congrats on the science fair project; it is great he got recognized for his work (personally, I hate the science fair going ons, my kindergartener moaned and groaned during the entire presentation cuz she did not get an award).

Got to head off to softball practice. Wonder how numb the feet will get when I have to be there for 1 1/2 hours for a 6 year old practice!

I am the queen of Bisquick and I can confirm that. In fact, just made some Friday night for dinner. My family loves my pancakes, but I don't love to get up and fix breakfast in the morning. So we usually have them for dinner every month or so. Quite yummy.

Ok, just a stopped in to lurk and catch up, it's been a looonnnggg day.

Daniel is doing OK, hasn't moved from his bed except to go to the bathroom. Ella probably had her worst day yet. Talked to the nurse who confirmed that there is a strange stomach bug going around that is getting adults and kids alike. Said the ER was full of people over the weekend who are dehydrated. She said that it will seem to go away and then come back again even stronger. Stuff I already knew mostly, but still nice to know that it isn't just my kids and that it will eventually end because Ella's been sick 4 days now and it should be letting up.

She laid around on me all day, still not eating and took a really long nap. She woke up smiling and laughing, which was so wonderful. She even ate dinner.

Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Barb, what say you meet me in the hot tub for some care-giver venting and relaxation?

Bichon Barb, whenever my DH is under the weather, I always end up feeling guilty because he drives me nuts. Men (sorry ohanafamily, RickinNYC, & HuggaBaloo) are just the worst patients in the world.

I stayed up & watched the Oscars last night. The show was a little on the boring side if you ask me. I was glad LOTR won everything, but outside of Jack Black, Will Ferrell, Ben Stiller & Owen Wilson, the show was a little slow moving.

Benecio looked HOT!, did you see him? Lewski709? Cheeringmom?
