I didn't reliaze you started a new TR within your last TR.

First thing, Pat, your son is old enough...he should walk BEHIND you if he doesn't want to walk with you! Let him know who is in charge!

Ah....you passed Old Key West on your way to your resort. I think that is the first time I've seen that sign for OKW.

How funny that Chris got a "Minnie" AP and not one of the guy characters.

I am trying to finish this epic adventure before I head back at the end of Sept.

I am recapping the whole side effect. This is trip 4 of 5.

I am a pretty fast walker but man he is Dash. Always has been, even when he has no clue as to where is going.

Ah....you passed Old Key West on your way to your resort. I think that is the first time I've seen that sign for OKW.

Stopping at 2 DVCs on the way in should have given me a clue as to my future.

How funny that Chris got a "Minnie" AP and not one of the guy characters.

Unfortunately, he was not amused. No fit, but I wish I had a picture of his expression when he saw it.

Doncha hate it when you arrive all ready to rock and roll and you get stuck by blocked EVERYTHING for a parade? I'm glad you had business to take care of while it passed, so at least you didn't feel too terribly hostaged.

Ah nuts, you got to ride the Tronorail! We never did get to take a spin in it last time. I know you must be getting close to the trip we met on? RIGHT??

As we leave Guest Relations, Chris takes off. I look up and he is gone. He mentioned wanting popcorn so I assume he went to the cart by the entrance. While waiting I snap away.
This guy must have been hot and needed a seat.

When I finally catch up with Chris via phone, he is in Tomorrowland riding the peoplemover. WHAT!

Here I am waiting for him on Main Street and he takes off like that. Not Cool. I head over and find him.

Here is the meltdown of the trip- I get it out of the way early. Of course if you don’t count the parking at the airport.

I collect Chris and we head to SM. The wait time is 40 min and I know it will go down later. I try Mobile Magic to see if that is different. Chris doesn’t want to wait for me and tries to run ahead to get in line. Well, and argument ensues and he then storms off to enter the queue. I am left standing in Tomorrowland upset and disappointed. Oh and I am mad too.

What do I do? I walk clear across the park to ride something with a short line.
Passing the castle.

I catch the parade going through LS.

I end up at HM. There is a short line and I get in my doom buggy to cool off. My temper as well as my body- it is hot outside. About half way through my phone rings. Don’t get mad, I got it right away and nobody was around me. It is Chris. He informs me the line was only 20 minutes long. I tell him quietly I am in HM with a really short line as well. He apologizes and I spend the graveyard scene talking to him.

We agree to meet at POC.

Do I see Brazilian’s?

Nope just band members.

While I wait he calls because he does not really know where he is going. I am getting annoyed again, he is a guy and wants to go off on his own but has no clue of where he is going. He finally comes from Frontierland. I guess he took the short cut.

Finally he arrives and we ride together.

Go over to BMTRR- get FP for later and ride stand by.

I though the roof was interesting

It was time to leave to get to our ARD at O’Hana. We exit and Chris runs ahead AGAIN. I guess because I am following we pass the entrance to teh resort monorail and end up on the express monorail which will take us to the TTA. From there we just walk to the Poly.

I now know the way after a couple of scenic routes walks.

Can you see the hidden Mickey?

Will I spend the trip chasing the boy?

Kind of keeps in my tradition of walking in on parades. It took some jockeying but we only needed to get to City Hall so in the end it all worked out.

I know I haven't been following your TR from the beginning, but I had to get in on the mommy meltdown. I can't blame you at all for being frustrated when someone runs ahead and then gets lost. I hardly think you melted down at all.

I never noticed that hidden Mickey at POFQ. Thanks for pointing it out.

When Chris refers to O'Hanas as the place with the meat and is practically drooling as he says it I knew I had to book it.

I got to fill up on salad and broccoli as well as the wings. YUM.
After that start I know I needed a drink to settle myself.

I was trying to hold it together. I knew he would want to go off on his own, but he was being so impatient. In hindsight i have to realize he was probably excited too.

We got it out of the way early and things got better from there. Well it couldn't really get much worse so we had nowhere to go but up !

So not cool and I let him know that. For him at 16 our trip was somewhere between Mom and child and Mother and Son. He had been allowed to go off on his own before and with his phone and rules like when changing parks or going to the room etc, let me know via text, he was good with. I we would guess in his mind once he had his ticket - he was free until dinner. In my mind, we would spend time together until dinner and me being the vet, 40 minutes was just too long for SM and we should find something else to do.

Oh we reached some understanding real quick. This trip was a real rollercoaster ride.

Pat, I wouldn't call that a meltdown at all; I would have been livid. If Chris wanted to go off on his own, why not just say so?

I'm glad he "finally" found you.

Yes, you loved Ohana; yes and no for you constantly chasing Chris -- except at meal time and yes, you had a Lapu Lapu.
