THE RETURN of THE WHATLEYS MAY 21-30. Our trip is done, now time for the TR :(

Hey Dana, hope you had a good weekend!! Mine was okay. I fell last night and hurt my hip, so I'm limping today. UG!!! NOT good!! But, nothing is broken, so I'll live!! Stupid MD!! LOL Ah well. Hopefully I can go to work tomorrow!!!

Hey Christie, I had a pretty good weekend. I had to work, but we weren't too busy. Oh my, I hope you are OK :scared1:. Take it easy for the next few days, I am sure that my falling, two weeks prior, is what lead to my leg injury. I hope you have a good week at work.

First :bday: Happy Birthday! (a day late) Tyler!!!
next on your party do you want Disney themed food or easy cheap party food...I was thinking of that pasta salad receipe I had given you around Christmas. I'll think on it some more!!!!

Thanks Connie.

I think Disney themed food would be good. I still have the recipe for the salad and I think I may make that for the adults. I had a Cars party for Dallas when he turned 8 and I may use some of that idea, but I want some other ideas too.

Here are a few of the pictures from that party.

The cake. I ordered it at Walmart.

I made the little flags for the Bagel Bites.

I made a sherbet and ginger ale punch. I used lime sherbet, for a green flag.

Oooooo! I have an idea for the cake if the Walmart by you has it...Ashton's bday cake last July was mickey surfing and minnie at the beach...but, I have another idea to! a cake from any store or homemade decorated with balloons and streamers instead of flowers and go to Dollar Tree and get the Mickey, Doanld, Minnie, Goofy figures. They normally have Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, and Eeyore. Ok another idea...cinderella's castle w/Mickey and Friends on the cake instead of the princesses.... how about serving a version of the Dole whips shouldn't be too hard to make a ice cream/sherbert smoothie in the blender, small containers of popcorn, love the bagel bite pizzas for the kids (and adults)

Have fun! can't wait to see what you decide on!

Hey Dana!! Nice pictures of Dallas's cake!! I love cars!! :) Wish I could get away with doing that for Tyler!! AH well. Look over on my PTR for an update on pant size!!! :) My hip is sore, but it'll be alright. It's not broken or cracked, just bruised. I have lortabs, so those will help with the pain and swelling I got. But I'll live, just be gimpy for a little bit. Once this is over with I can get back on the treadmill. I'm actually looking forward to getting back on there!!! Anyways, tired, so off to bed I go!!! Have a good night!

Love :lovestruc that sherbert/ginger ale punch! Is that just a southern thing, or does everyone make punch like that?

Hope you're having a good week. I'm using a personal day tomorrow---send the kids off to school and stay home. That's the best kind! ;)

I love that cake!!!! The flags on the bagel bites are such a great idea, too. I wish I was that creative! I'm glad I have you guys to give me ideas!! :thumbsup2

I loved the cake Connie. I ordered it from Target since I was able to pull it up on their site. The Dole whips sound good too :thumbsup2

I am going to post some of the stuff we decided on in a few ;).

Hey Christie. If I remember correctly the cake was pretty good too. I don't know if Dallas would go for it now, but he was 8 then so I got away with it .

I'm glad you don't have any broken bones. I swear as I get older I think I get more clumsy. You working out is probably what helped keep you from being hurt worse. I hope you had a good day at work; I am enjoying my days off :goodvibes.

:love:I love that stuff too Michelle :lovestruc. I don't know if it is just a southern thing or not, but if it is, everybody else is missing out :rolleyes1.

I hope you enjoy your day off :goodvibes. It is beautiful here today :cloud9:.

I thought it was a cool cake too April. The flags were easy to do, I printed them out, cut them and taped them to toothpicks. I made a Pin the Wheels on Lightning McQueen game instead of Pin the Tail on the Donkey :rotfl2:. It was a fun party.

Here are my plans for the party. Let me know what ya'll think.

I went to cakes.com to look for Disney cakes and I found the one Connie had mentioned. I called Target and ordered it today.

So here it is.

I didn't order any writing on the cake because I didn't want to interfere with the decorations. I am going to try and go with a tropical/beach type theme.

My niece makes a killer salsa so she is going to make some for us. I will make the sherbet punch, but I am going to get pineapple sherbet. I want to try and find some cute plates, cups and table decorations at Dollar Tree. I would love to order pineapple pizza, but I think I'm the only person who likes it. I am open to any tropical food ideas so please, throw some my way :surfweb:.

Um...did someone mention cake???

What a cute cake! I like the tropical theme. I think pineapple pizza is so yummy! If you ordered it, there would be more for you. ;) For some reason the only food that I'm thinking of right now for a tropical theme is Tonga Toast. :confused3 Maybe because it's at the Poly and it's kind of tropical? Great! Now I'm thinking about cake AND Tonga Toast.

the only thing I'm coming up with is fruit and ham picks ; those cute frilly tooth picks w/ ham and or pineapple cubes...

Such a cute cake!! Maybe order cheese pizza and anyone who wants could put pineapple on it? Love salsa!!

That is a great idea Mary . I can't wait to get into that salsa. I hope she makes extra so I will have some for later :goodvibes.

What a cute cake Dana! I love it.

I still haven't forgotten about you. I just got some time last night to sit down and just read the PTR. I am about halfway done now.
