THE RETURN of THE WHATLEYS MAY 21-30. Our trip is done, now time for the TR :(

Please forgive all the different sized pictures, photobucket was not working well for me tonight.

Saturday Dale and I decided we wanted to head to Publix and buy groceries. We don't have one here in Mobile so we had to go to Fairhope. We left the house around 10am and by the time we were out the door good I was getting hungry. Dale asked me where I wanted to eat and of course I say "I want to eat Mexican food."..........:lmao:. That should have been a no brainer for him.
We didn't get to eat at Vallarta's because we didn't go all the way to Pensacola, but there is a nice Mexican restaurant near Publix.

So they bring us these.

I love chips and salsa........YUMMY.

And of course, no good Mexican food is complete without this

I love the colored salt.

Then, of course, Dale has to get this

After lunch we headed on down to Publix so we could get our grocery shopping done. They were having some really good B1G1 sales today and I was able to get half my Easter dinner that way. Dallas wanted me to bake a cake so I got all the stuff and this is what hopped out of the box.

The beginning of the bunny

I have made this cake for the kids several times before. I don't like coconut so I shred white chocolate and use it for the fur. While the cake was baking Dallas and I dyed the eggs

Thank you Desiree, Happy Easter to you too. I started making the bunny cake about 9 years ago and it has become a tradition. It is super simple to make. It would probably be easier it I used coconut, but I don't like coconut on cake for some reason. The Mexican food was so good! We love Mexican food, and we have tried San Angel Inn at Epcot, but it just wasn't good to us. Dallas did have fun with the eggs, he had dye everywhere......:rotfl:.

I can't wait to get my BRB and see what all is in it :woohoo:.

It looks so good you have be craving cake now :lmao: Also i agree with you with San Angel Inn-- I did not like the food there:( but love mexican food as well!! Cinco de mayo is coming up soon:) just another excuse to eat some mexican and have some delicious magaritas-- i can't wait--- but till then my treadmill will be calling me :rotfl2:

Congrats on being chosen for the big red box!! I can't wait to see and hear about your party!

LOVE the bunny cake!!! My MIL makes one every year (but she uses coconut - yuck!). She left the ears "fur-free" for me this year, though. :thumbsup2

Somehow, I totally missed the mexican food, bunny cake, Easter egg pictures. I love me some chips and salsa!

I wish I had thought about the shaved white chocolate instead of coconut 'cause I've seen a lot of different cakes and cupcakes for Easter that used coconut so I didn't make them. Very smart of you.

We dyed our Easter eggs yesterday morning. Nothing like waiting until the last minute. After doing two or three of them, we started we'd do a few Disney themed ones. I tried to take pictures but they didn't turn out so good. I hope to get them posted to my Over the River report sometime soon.

I am craving some chips and salsa right now. I could honestly live off that stuff.

I started doing the shaved white chocolate years ago after I saw a chocolate cake with the curls of chocolate on it. I didn't know if it would work the first time I tried it, but it does great.

I have to go over to you PTR and see the pix :surfweb:.

When I got home from work today this was waiting for me

I couldn't wait to get into this.

Now I have to decide what type of party, who to invite and when we are going to have it. I think I may do it next weekend because it will be the weekend between Tyler and Amanda's birthday. Tyler will be 21 on the 10th and Amanda will be 22 on the 23rd.
