I am truly blessed to have ya'll in my life :goodvibes.

Thank You for the birthday wishes and for being here for me during this very hard time.

Man....I missed the birthday. I am SOOOOOO sorry dude!!!! Tyler fractured my sinus cavity in my nose last weekend, so my head has been pounding all week, still pounding but not as bad. So I haven't been on too much. Anyways, hope everything went good for the services, and I hope you're doing good....well, as good as you CAN be....and HAPPY late birthday dude!!!!!

That is OK Christie. It ain't nothing but a thang........lol. How in the world did Tyler fracture your sinus cavity? I can only imagine how that had to hurt. I hope the headaches go away soon. I had a pretty good birthday. Dallas, Amanda, Matt and I are going to see Alice in Wonderland today. I can't wait to see it.

Good mornin' Dana,

Hope you had a good birthday weekend and that you guys enjoyed the movie!

Good Morin' Lisa :goodvibes.

I have had a good weekend so far. We are going to see Alice today and I can't wait. I will post everything about my weekend when I get home this evening. I am going to make homemade pizza for dinner, that is what Dallas requested for MY birthday dinner................LOL.

Can't wait to hear what you think about "Alice". And the homemade pizza sounds yummy...even if it is "not" what you requested for your birthday. ;) Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

I haven't really posted much lately, but I think I need to try and get back as close to normal as I can. It has been a roller coaster week and with God's help, my friends to lean and a doctor who listened to all my complaints two weeks ago, I am going to get there.

My heart rejoices that my Mom is now with God, my Dad, and my sisters and brothers, but the selfish side of me says I wasn't ready for her to leave just yet. She had a good life and she saw soooooo much. She was born in 1923 so she lived through the Roaring 20's, The Great Depression, WWII, the 50's, Civil Rights, Vietnam War, and the change of the century. She was loved by more people that I could ever hope to be. She had 9 children, 23 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was strong when she had to be, but soft when she needed to be. She fought the good fight, but she was tired.

Life is so ironic. My Mom delivered me in a hospital room alone, her doctor told her she wasn't ready so he went home. So I came into this world, just me and my Mom on March 5, 1963. When she went home last Sunday night, once again it was just me and my Mom, alone, in a hospital room, almost 47 years to the day. My Dad passed March 3, 1974 and he was laid to rest March 5, 1974. My Mom passed February 28, 2010 and was laid to rest March 3, 2010, 36 years to the day since my Dad passed.

I want to thank everyone for being here for me :grouphug:. I know it is your thoughts and prayers that are helping me face each day. I have some really hard times, but I know that will ease some with time.

Dana, we will continue to be here for you. Having gone through this less than two years ago with my dad, I truly know what you are going through. I promise you it will get easier and the wonderful memories will always be there.

Thanks Kathy  I can't wait to see it.

I like the homemade pizza too. I buy the crust at Publix. They make it up fresh and it is really good.

Wow....made me tear up!!!! Awesome tribute to your mom, I'm sure she was a wonderful person!!!

Tyler....well, his hard head fractured my nose....it is in my sinus. We were in line for EE at AK last weekend, him and his sister were playing in line, and his head came right at my nose!!! Hit my nose, hard, my head went back, hit the wall I was leaning up against, but I was a trooper, I got on the ride with the kids!!! We went to eat, and after that rode dinosaur, and that was enough. Had a rough go this week with headaches, and stuff like that, but I'm mostly better. My nose is still tender. The dr thinks I had a slight concussion also, with hitting the back of my head, and telling her I was dizzy and such afterwards. So....it was an accident, he feels REALLY bad...but just one of those thangs!!! LOL I'll live.....I always do! Hope the movie went good. I wanna see it too, maybe next weekend!!!!

Dana,

Your post about your mom is very moving. Sounds like she had a very full life and got to experience a lot during her time here. :goodvibes

Hope you have a good week! :flower3:

Dana, it's good that you are trying to return to doing the every day things. Sometimes the monotony helps ease the pain. Your post about your mother made me all teary eyed and I didn't even know your parents. But, I know you and I know it's hard for you. We are all here for you if you ever need to talk. And....you know me and my silly family.....we're here if you just need a chuckle.

Christie, Thank You.

I know that had to be extremely painful. I think I would have screamed out a few ugly words......... I can only imagine how bad your head had to feel after getting it from both sides. I know Tyler felt bad about it.

The movie was good. I really enjoyed it. It was different from the actual book.

Thank you Michelle.

I hope you have a good week too :goodvibes.

Thank you Lisa. It made me feel better to share some things about my Mom. Yesterday was really a hard day because it had been a week. I am so glad I have such wonderful friends.

Thank you Kathy .

Your post about your Mom made me teary as well Dana. Many many many hugs to you. I know this must be terribly difficult. I think you are doing the right thing by getting back to the boards and facebook. I'm sure your Mom would want you to rejoice that she is with God and would want you to be moving forward as quickly as possible. No parent wants their child to be in pain. You know that. I hope each day is getting a little better. I'm thinking of and praying for you. Try to take care of yourself.
