I am of no help to you because I would choose CSR. It's like a deluxe at a mod price. Queen beds vs. doubles at values. I wouldn't mind to give CBR a try too. But they don't have the queens. I just don't seeing paying the diff for a deluxe. but that is just me. I'm sure they are nice but I could find lots of ways to spend the diff in price.

I didn't think about CSR. I guess since it is the resort they use mostly for the conventions it just didn't cross my mind. All of the mods were the same price though because I did look at POR. We stayed there in 2002 and we didn't care for it because it was just too big. It really is a big price difference between the mods and the deluxe and for that price I could almost add the DDP.

OK, I've done some math and if things work out like I have planned I think I am going to change some stuff up on our vacation and I would like some input. With the gift card deal they have going right now this is how the math worked out for me. Now, please correct me if I am wrong because I could be way off due to my meds . I would also like opinions on which way ya'll would go and what resort you would choose. So here goes:

We could go with the $300 card, stay at Pop and the cost would be

If we stick with what we have at Pop now:

The price to stay at Wilderness Lodge would be the same as AKL. I know if we decide to stay at Pop I will, of course, stay with the original since it is cheaper to go that way. If we stay at WL or AKL the gift card will pay for the upgrade on the AP renewals and still have amost $100 left on it. I really want to stay in a deluxe. The price of Contemporary would be $202 more than AKL or WL, Poly would be $844, GF would be $1114 more.

I would be greatful for any ideas. I have never stayed in a deluxe resort before. I have been in Poly, GF, and CR. The pictures of WL and AKL are so nice, but I haven't been in them. I am looking so forward to this vacation.

I think AKL looks awesome. We wouldn't stay in a Savannah view though because it is way more expensive. I think WL is really pretty from all the pictures I've seen, but if it is like the cabins I won't like it. I just didn't care for the cabins last May. Right now everything is open during my stay, so I'm hoping it will be in the next few weeks. Pop was cool when we were there in September. If we stay at Pop or a moderate we could add the DDP for what we will be saving. The DDP for Dale, Dallas and I would come to $756 dollars.
I am still hoping for an awesome AP rate .

As everyone knows Dale is a big football fan and a Bama fanatic. Well at midnight tonight we lose our ABC station because of a dispute between the cable company(Mediacom) and the ABC station we get. The station is in Pensacola and is owned by Sinclair broadcasting. They did the same thing 3 years ago and we lost ABC for about a month. We have been trying to figure out what we needed to do to see the game, we contemplated getting Direct TV or Dish Network, renting a hotel room or going somewhere like Chili's to watch the game. We never got one of the converter boxes. We have a digital TV we bought earlier this year so I got out our old rabbit ears and connected it to the TV and ran a scan and WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOO IT PICKED UP THE ABC STATION.
Now we can watch the game.

Did you price out the upgrades with your pin discounts to see the differences as you did with POP. I priced it out and I am saving over @ $1200 on a deluxe. I can't wait for May!!!

I ran the numbers by Dale this evening and he said I was just confusing him . He wasn't confused, he just doesn't like to make a decision .

I did not price it out with my pin . Can I upgrade using my pin even if it has expired? The discount is for 35% on mods and 40% on deluxe. I need to go and do that right now. I have to tell you that we live out in the country and we don't have any cable that comes to our neighborhood. Which is stupid, b/c there are 100 houses just in here and it comes all the way to our entrance, but not in! oh well- anyway, we have DirecTV and LOVE it. We've had it since it was Primestar back over 12 years ago and have never wanted anything else. We get local channels and get all of our LSU games, of course! And we'd go to great lengths to get our games, too!! I totally understand. Of course, I could never cheer for Bama, but I will be cheering for the SEC, so hope you have a happy game day that day And GEAUX TIGERS tomorrow!!

I'm not sure how I missed this post earlier!! Sooo glad you get to see the game!! And yes, I totally understand doing whatever you can to see a game! A few years ago when BAMA wasn't so good we would sit at the computer to watch the games online--or at least listen to the broadcast since they didn't show all of the BAMA games in Memphis! Brandi where I grew up we didn't get cable till I was 21. I tell you it was a wonderful thing. We had channel 5 in Mobile(cbs), channel 10 in Mobile (nbc) and channel 13 in Biloxi (abc) and that was it....... It was on the news tonight that they are going to keep broadcasting until the 8th. I guess there was so much flack they decided to put it off.

I will be pulling for the SEC too, well except in the Sugar Bowl. Go Bearcats . Boy the drama surrounding that game

I'm glad that Medicom and Sinclair decided to wait until after the game to continue their dispute. With the rabbit ears we were able to put up our ABC station, but it would fade at times and the signal would completely be lost. The poor people around Orlando are going to lose their Fox network Friday at midnight, right about the 4th quarter of the Sugar Bowl.

My code expired 10/24. In fact the day I found it I had one day left to make the ressie and at the time I just called and booked Pop because we had just stayed there.
