When I was confirmed, I didn't get to choose an extra name... Then again, i'm Church of England, so maybe there's a difference.

Just in case it was missed... Last post on the last page and all.

I'm watching iPlayer. Great TV Mistakes. It's nice that it's not one of those blooper shows the BBC has all the time. It's all about continuity errors, non-actors in the background, wobbly sets, etc.

Confirmation names rock Of course, you've got to pick it after a Saint. But pretty much every common name has a saint. Your Confirmation name isn't legally part of your name, but Roman Catholics believe it is. My Confirmation name is Ann. Because that's my Sponsors middle name and it's my mom's middle name. (A Sponsor is an adult in the Catholic faith that you feel can help you throught the Confirmation process)

Jane then I guess would be good for me. A saints name and my mamas middle name.

If there was a Saint Jake, I would of chosen that if I could of... I think the reason I like the name Jake is because I haven't met anyone with the name, but feels to me like such a common name that I should have met one.

There might be a Saint Jacob...not sure...

Yes, you do. Because your middle name is your middle name, and you need a Confirmation name. I'm sure you can have your Confirmation name the same as your midlde name. "Bob Sam Sam Jones" of course, then you'd look like an idiot. My middle name is a Saint's name, and I had to pick a different Saint's name for my Confirmation name.
