....or AKA the planning process lol
If I were to call Disney tomorrow to be "penciled in" for the end of Aug 2011 for an Escape wedding, what is the process on getting the ball actually rolling. I won't be the full 8 months away, but close.
My mom really wants to look at a hall here this weekend, she knows I have my heart set on Disney, but I guess I will go anyway.
Ho-hum, I think they all think I am insane.

If you call now they'll take some basic information (contact details, venue and time preferences etc) so they can assign a sales consultant who will be in touch within a few days. You can discuss venue choices, dessert party or catered reception add ons etc with the consultant and they will be able to provide plenty of info, menus, ideas of cost etc before you hit the 8 month mark. We had Stacey Meacham and she was super helpful. Once you've made those choices they will make the booking and send you the contract at the 8 month mark before assigning you a planner and then shortly after that a floral consultant. So there's plenty they can help you with at this stage, you just need to wait a little longer to make bookings official and discuss details such as floral and decor.
