Landon loved going to the movie! Right now at our Disney Store, all the Finding Nemo plushes are 30% off. Thank goodness they weren't BEFORE we went to the movie!

Hello all! Hope everyone had a great weekend! I sure did!

So back story: I ran a lot last summer. I had a beautiful trail right outside my apartment that went on and on for miles. I actually ENJOYED running. Then my friend wanted me to run a marathon with her and the only reason I didn't was because it got too expensive. So I signed up for this one a year in advance so it would be cheap. Then I moved and I live by busy streets and really hate running now. I just could not get back into it. So I never trained.

Then the marathon snuck up on me. I decided around 8 miles that I was only going to do the half. Half was still more than I had EVER ran before. Surprisingly, I never got really winded and my calves never hurt. (My calves are what usually give me issues.) However, my hips started aching SO BADLY. It was hard and painful. I hit my "wall" right around 12.5 miles, where I just wanted to cry or hit someone or quit. It was intense. And then I just got over it and sprinted to the finish so I could be done.

So I ran 13.1 miles. Which is great because 13 is my favorite number and the half marathon medal was Broncos colors and the full was not. Ha. It's the little things.

Then I ached ALL DAY and hobbled around like an old lady and lathered IcyHot all over myself on Sunday. Watched some football. Cried over the Broncos. Won both my fantasy leagues. (I'm still undefeated in both, if anyone cares. )

Monday wasn't so bad. I worked, which was good to walk around and use my muscles again so they didn't get too stiff. Then I relaxed the rest of the day! And today I feel great!

On the job front, I did get called in for the final interview round for one job. However, that interview isn't until October 18th or something. FINGERS CROSSED!

So...

I GOT THE JOB!!!!!

OMG OMG OMG OMG I'm so excited!!

I am going to be an emergency dispatcher. Sad part is...training takes 6 months. I'm hoping that doesn't affect my cruise in FOUR!! The first 7 weeks are mandatory. And basically like school. Like classroom, memorization and what not. UGH. But...whatever, I'm too thrilled to care!

I start on November 5th-the day before Landon's birthday! Which is fine, we were celebrating the weekend before anyway.

And equally as congratulation worthy - way to go on the half marathon! And how fitting that the medal was Broncos colors! How about that game on Monday night? I was rooting for the Broncos! Peyton got me 22 points, which was good enough to win, lol! I love beating the men at Fantasy Football, don't you?

I just ran my first 5k a few weeks ago. In the rain. It was fun, but I think dry would have been better!

Ahh so glad I have that Broncos colored medal! How fun. That's great that you just ran a 5K! I'm so lame, I may have skipped a race in the rain! I don't think I will run too many more races, unless they are in Disney. There is this one in Denver I might do called "Fans on the Field", which is a 10K that goes through the Broncos stadium, the Rockies stadium, and the place where the Nuggets play. I would probably love that one!

Oh, that Peyton! We sure love him over here in our household! I'm glad he is doing well for you. My fantasy teams are slowing down. Grrr. After both starting out being the highest scorer in the entire leagues! Now, my recent wins are for reasons like my opponent didn't switch out bye week players and such. Disgraceful!!

Yeah, Landon is like almost up to my sternum. I fully expect him to surpass me by like 1st grade.

Garret's man "secret" boy band admiration is mostly BSB. But the other day, he was playing the music on my phone and started giving his opinion of which N'Sync songs he liked best. I have no idea how he feels about NKOTB, but I'm sure he secretly likes most of it. I TOTALLY WANT TO COME SO MUCH TO MUSIKFEST. Do you know how depressing it was to see the only 2 boy band members be the first to get voted off Dancing with the Stars?! HOW RUDE. I feel like Drew Lachey said they had the greatest time ever and want to go on a full tour. FINE BY ME!

So, basically, those trip dates completely depend on if I can keep my Disney job or not simply because we are not allowed to request any time off during the months of November or December since it's the busiest time. So if I keep it, it has to be October.

Hello my wonderful Dis-friends!!

I am still in a sort of shock about getting this job. And anxious for it to start! It's just weird that I haven't had a full time job since basically last year. And now I'm starting a CAREER. Me? The girl who is currently typing this while wearing a Wreck It Ralph shirt and a tiara with princess cookies baking in the oven, rocking out to the new Taylor Swift album? I don't know how that happened, but thank the Lord above that it did! HALLELUJAH!

So I gave you guys the crazy schedule of training but didn't really say exactly what my new CAREER is. So I'll get to that in a second. Because I just want to take a moment of gratitude to talk about how I've really found a great job. One of my favorite things of accepting the position was them saying how they hope I stay at LEAST 4 years, but hopefully more, because they are investing in me and want to train me to not only do the job but eventually move up and become a specialist in an area.

What I'll be doing is emergency dispatching. Meaning, I'll be answering 911 and other police/fire calls and then sending out that stuff. I'll be learning all sides from phone to radio for multiple things. Eventually they are wanting me to be specialized in either the fire or police side.

Anywho...I'm not 100% sure I'll be able to keep my Disney job. I told my manager the other day and she's not sure we can make it work with the schedule I'll have the first 7 weeks. (Which is 9 am to 6 pm, M-F). She says we can make it work through the holidays, but we'll see after that. The thing is, after the holidays my schedule will change again. I don't know what that is yet, so we'll see if it works. FINGERS CROSSED. I really, really, really want to keep my Disney job. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. Plus, it'd be perfect to keep those discounts.

Anywho, here's some recent pics of me and my baby.

And...we got matching Wreck It Ralph shirts. 2 for $20 at the Disney store.

Finally...if you need a good laugh, thank Garret's dad. He has sent us a pack of mustaches. Who knows why? But they are hilarious on my child. This one was my favorite. I made him make angry faces and then I envisioned him going "HEY YOU KIDS! STAY OUT OF MY YARD!" Or something. Oh man.
