The Princess is Going Back to Her Kingdom...TWICE!

Hello my dear Dis friends!

After 7 weeks of SUPER intense classroom training, I have graduated to on the floor training! :woohoo: It has seriously been so much! I have literally had so many codes, abbreviations, names, streets, guidelines, etc. pounded into my head over the past 2 months that it's insane. Our final was 150 questions and took a few hours, not to mention all sorts of other weekly tests and quizzes we've had. It felt like I was back in school!

And now I have 4 days off. I'm on day 2 of that extended weekend and have spent it with my loves, Garret and Landon. :lovestruc Also, working at Disney. Yay for retail the weekend before Christmas. Not. :sad2: We've also been dog-sitting the most angelic, sweet, calm German Shepard ever and it's pretty much made life. AND today I beat Garret in Fantasy Football, which has crowned me as the champion! :cheer2:

Tomorrow, we are baking cookies for Santa, going to church and then going to my Mom's. Christmas will probably just be the 3 of us enjoying each other's company and opening our presents for Landon.

The real reason we don't have much planned for then is because when I go back to work on Wednesday...I'm switching to graves. I know. I'm terrified. TERRIFIED. I'll start at 8 pm and go until 6 am. :scared1: We'll see how it goes. So the next few days I'm trying to adjust my schedule. Which is why I'm Dis-ing at 1 am my time.

Life is good. So good. Merry Christmas to you all!

Yeah! A Kimmy pre-trip report. I am glad the year is ending well for you with the new job and all. Congrats. Too bad you can't go cruising in February, but I am sure you will still get in plenty of Disney. I can't believe your son is already 4. Cute as a button as always.

Looking forward to reading more!

Congrats on getting through your classroom training!! It sounds really intense-- you should be really proud of yourself! Will you be working nights temporarily or is this a permanent shift? I'm sure it'll be really tough at first, but I bet you'll get used to it.

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas!

Ahhh girl, I'm so proud of you! You're doing amazingly well, and it sounds like all the hard work has really been paying off! :woohoo:

I hope you and your boys had an excellent Christmas, and that you're getting used to your new hours!

Hello everyone!

Sorry I've fallen off the face of the planet...again.

However, this time my excuse is valid.

My father passed away a few days after Christmas and it's all been real rough.
Miss you all, and I miss Disney like crazy of course.

Updates soon.

Oh my goodness, Kimmy, I am truly sorry to hear that. That must be so hard. Take all the time you need and stay strong, girl. I'll be praying for you.

Thank you for all your kind words. I am still trying to cope. And I'm still going to Disney.

It's all kind of up in the air right now. It is looking like it will now be either a Nemo room at AoA or if we could swing it...a 1 bdrm suite in BLT!! Does anyone know anything about renting points? Last time I did it through a friend of a friend, but I don't know how to go about doing things by myself! I know there is a whole board devoted to it here, but it seems weird!! So does anyone have any experience with that?!

I rented points through Lynn5700. I'm not sure if she's renting this year but you can ask her. If she's not maybe she knows someone who is. There are also websites devoted to being 'brokers' for DVC rentals but I don't like that they require full payment when you book. They're definitely not as flexible as going through a member.

Kimmy,

My condolences on the loss of your father. I am so sorry you are going through this.

I lost my father very unexpectedly in August of 2011, so I know how you feel. The last time I saw him alive was during our trip at the Boardwalk in March of 2011. It does console me that the last time I spent with him was at my happy place.

I am glad you are still going on your trip.

So...good news guys!

Last night I booked a WDW trip!!!! I can still hardly believe. Stay tuned for details!!

Kimmy,

I am truly sorry to hear about your Father. I haven't been around the DIS much lately, and I only just now checked in on your PTR.

Booking a WDW trip is very exciting! I can't wait to hear the details!!
