The One in Which We Discover "Food Drunk" is a thing! Updated 6/6!!!!

I wanted one of those Grand Marnier slushies in February, but I missed it again.... There's always a next time and I'm keeping a to-do list!!

I'm thinking I need some corn dog nuggets next trip! Likely I would pass on the nachos anyway... I'm too picky about the cheese.

I've never had a slushie but that is probably a good thing in case they were addictive! :p

Ahh reading dining reviews is dangerous while dieting! Those corn dog nuggets look extra delicious! I'm not a huge alcohol drinker but those slushies sound amazing too!

Great reviews :thumbsup2
I was particularly pleased to see the Grilled Veg Sandwich from Beaches & Cream as that is a fairly new addition and looks yummy!
I personally prefer the Grey Goose Slushie to the GM one but they are both fantastic :yay:

Haha, I had read so much about it I knew I had to get one on our first trip, when I saw someone with one I was all "WHERE DID YOU GET THAT?!" Delicious!

Hahah, they're so yum, such a good treat during the parade! Yeah, I would skip the nachos, they just weren't worth it! Aw man you should give the slush a try! Haha

TELL ME ABOUT IT! Ugh, doing 21 days alcohol, sugar free, low gluten and low sodium....THEN IT'S AUDITION TIME!! EEEEKKKKK. Yeah, dying. Hahaha, well, I'm not sure if our Epcot day overlapped or not, but that is something else we could share in Sept?! Baha

Thanks!! I didn't know it was new! It was pretty tasty! Everything at Beaches just sounded amazing!!

Great job on your reviews.

I have been known to sing the pickle song now and then. It's nice to know that I'm not the only one.

Do you have a recipe for the Lemon Vodka drink? That is my favorite.

Ahhh that definitely sounds more painful than my diet! Are you going to Disney?!?! Ahhh

I don't remember either but it sounds like an excellent idea! I don't know how I'm gonna make it til September- I'm too excited!

Thanks!! Haha, glad I'm not alone. For the lemon one I would say either take lemonade, shaved ice and grey goose vodka, or just use lemon juice, a TON of sugar and blended with ice and grey goose vodka

Hahha, yeah, I'm kinda dying but just trying to not think about it, and I mean, it takes that long to form a habit, so hopefully by the time I'm done I won't crave anything bad bahah! And yes! I've decided that I need to be at these auditions!

I'm in! We're going back to WDW in 12 days! Cannot wait!

Yaaay!

I am joining along! I am also a Canadian...where abouts are you from in Canada? I am from Ontario.

I didn’t include this in the original list of reviews as I didn’t have pictures from it. However, I’ll just take a previous year’s pics and we’ll all be good!

**

We were finishing up our afternoon at Epcot, but had one more stop, the Yorkshire County Fish Shop! We had gotten lunch here the previous year, and really liked it, and we were right there, so why not! We jumped in line, and it did take FOREVER to get up to the window, they had both sides of the line up open, but only one till, and people weren’t really cooperating with anyone that would pop up on the other side of the queue, stating that “the line’s over here!” It was super confusing, but Paige and I both ended up walking away with some delicious fish and chips and some sweet teas!

Paige had been ahead of me, and said she would get a seat behind the shop, so I walked around the corner until I saw her at a waterside table. This was all fine and dandy, until I noticed how many birds were EVERYWHERE. I don’t care about the ducks, ducks are cute, I’m not going to feed them, but I don’t worry about them. Even the big scary birds don’t worry me too much, it’s the seagulls. I am TERRIFIED of seagulls, and was once attacked by one in Australia while eating fish and chips near a beach. The thing had been pacing on a ledge behind me then swooped in and stole a piece of fish right from my HAND, and bit me in the process. I was so terrified that I threw the food out got on the ferry and left where I was to go back to my hostel. I hate birds, I hate how they fly so close to your face, and they’re just freaking scary.

Story time over, there were seagulls all over the place, and coming towards our table, I stood up really abruptly when one got too close, and Paige asked if we wanted to move, and I could not have gotten out of there FASTER! I’m a little anxious just talking about it now. UGH. We moved over to a curb over in the square where the band plays, in the sun just enjoying life.

Now, that’s a picture from a previous year, so we did not have the potato chips, the potato chips or a huge sugar cookie are the options for dessert if you’re on the dining plan. We were not, so we simply had the fish and chips (fries) and a sweet tea each.As always, the food was great, I absolutely love it there, they’re authentic delicious fish and chips and I will always agree to eat there!

Fish & Chips: $8.99
Cup of Drink: $2.59

Yorkshire County Fish Shop Review
5/5
-There’s tons of seating, up by the water, or back a bit, lots of tables, and lots of options throughout the UK to eat
-Food is delicious
-Food is authentic and fresh and hot!
-Service is usually pretty quick
-It’s a nice light meal to eat!

Would we go back? Well, considering this was our second time eating here, I’d certainly say that we would!!

Following along with your reviews. Glad to hear you like the fish and chips from Yorkshire County. We are from the UK and make a point to always have the fish and chips there, even though we get plenty good fish and chips at home. There is something about eating chips doused in malt vinegar while sitting in the sun looking out over the World Showcase lagoon.

Looking forward to more :thumbsup2

Hi Katt! I've never tried the fish & chips (not a fish lover so I'm in no danger of trying them) but my DD would eat there.

Uh yeah... I'd move if seagulls were congretating near my food too! I do NOT like birds.

[Hi Wilma-Bride!]

We've still not tried the fish & chips over at Epcot - must do that some day!

We used to live on the south coast of England - Brighton to be exact, and would go down to the sea front most weekends for fish & chips - seriously, you took your life in your hands with the seagulls down there! - "mine, mine, mine" ;)

I am still traumatised by the day that a seagull stole my battered sausage while I was sat on the jetty wall at St Ives. I was only about 8 or 9

Hi!! They are so delicious!! I'm impressed, after travelling to Australia I haven't been able to find fish and chips that compare, but these ones mark up pretty good!!

Yeah, just not cool, I'm generally okay with birds in Disney, but that was just too much for me haha!!
