The One in Which We Discover "Food Drunk" is a thing! Updated 6/6!!!!

I am really surprised that the waitstaff wouldn't remove the fries for you that you have to resort to smashing them into a napkin and putting them on the table.

Sorry your meal didn't go like you wanted but that seemed extreme to me.

I thought I had subbed but oops! I'm definitely following along. We were at WDW at the same time. I looked at your dining line up but other than your BOG dinner I don't think we would have run into each other.

You look so adorable for your 1900 PF dinner - I love the dress. Definitely princess worthy!

The 4 cheese pesto pizza at WPE is my favorite and I still think of it as WDW food and forget that we have a WP near my house that serves that pizza. :confused3

The kid turkey sandwich is a great idea...I love kid meal options for something lighter. Looks like BOG will make a re-appearance for the two of you. ;)

I thought it was a bit extreme too, and not to be snarky, but if you are so worried about eating healthy, why are you upset about a cupcake? :confused3

So much negativity. When a series of events happens that make you upset, you react in a way you probably wouldn't otherwise. Considering she didn't throw the French fries at the waiter, I don't think it hurt anyone.

Plus, I see her point. When on vacation and want to eat semi-healthy, you're still on vacation at the end of the day. So by eating a healthier meal, you have more wiggle room for dessert. Is it how you'd diet in real life? No. But as she said, it was vacation and they wanted to eat healthy but not deny themselves of the yummy things.

It's one of those things that a business goes "oh sorry, you can have this on top of what we gave you because we were the ones that messed up" the staff in there was busy and i wasn't complaining, I just wanted thr fries not in eating range.

The meal was great, and an awesome experiece aside from mr grumpy pants working the til haha

I'm not really sure it was all dramatic... I wrapped them in a napkin and put them on the other side of the table...I didn't throw a fit, I asked politely for what I wanted. Sorry if my style of writing is too dramatic for you. Some of these updates are right out of my TR so they're telling a story, not just a review.

As for eating healthy, it's all about moderation. I eat superly healthy at home, and do my best to do it on vacation. If I want to eat a cupcake, Imma eat a dang cupcake, because it's something I've been hearing about for months and I wanted to try it. I ordered lunch without the fries because I dont like fries, and a giant portion of fries is going to be worse for me than sharing a cupcake with Paige.

I'm not "so worried" about eating healthy, it's just part of my life, put good things into your body and your body will thank you. I dont get the chance to work out at Disney, so Im going to want to eat clean. If I was to eat too much junk, I get sick, even when I do have a treat, I rarely finish it all as it's too much for me.

I could go on, but I think I've said enough. The situation upset me, when it comes to food I've always been "overly emotional" when things go wrong because you pay for your food and if something messes up, you dont eat. Thats all you get, I once cried when my Dad's ice cream fell off the cone at a McDonalds! Baha. (I was under the age of 10 though). I was upset because of Mr grumpy pants as he seemed super annoyed that he even had to talk to me, next time I'll use the self serve kiosks.

And thanks Courtney.

Hi Katt,
New to the Disboard. Fellow Canadian. You had me entertained reading your food reviews. Thanks for the experience! Counting down to our trip in Dec.

If Paige and I are headed over to Aloha Isle I'm assuming that you all know what we were there for!

That's right! DOLE WHIPS!! Paige had never had one before, and we wanted a snack, so obviously that's where we went. The line up was horrible, on both ends, they were very crowded and full of people, but we got in anyways. I'm sure that we ended up waiting around 10 minutes total, which wasn't the greatest. However I am super glad that the wait isn't as long as the line over in DLR for the dole whips, they are INSANE!!

I got the Dole Whip Float with Pineapple and vanilla swirl, I like it a lot better with the vanilla in there, as 100 percent pineapple can be a bit too much for me, haha.

Aloha Isle Score
4/5
-Simply because of the long wait, and the smell in that area due to the mixture of the smoking area and the dole whip shop and probably some other things, it kinda stinks ahha
-Otherwise all is fantastic! The dole whips are light and refreshing and awesome, and it's a nice little break from the day to have some delicious ice cream in Adventureland

Cost: $4.99

Would We Go Back?:
Yes, but probably not again on this trip, I find that it's something once per trip, and if I want ice cream again, I can get a different treat for variety!

Hi!! Glad you're enjoying reading along, and glad to see a fellow Canadian here too! Awesome!!

So.. you are saying that you liked the dole whip! ;) They look awesome but I've never had one. I'll blame it on the long lines! (They really do stretch to the Aladdin attraction sometimes - at D-land.) People must love these things.

Dole whips look so yummy but I've never had one. I have an odd opinion on pineapple, sometimes I like it sometimes I don't. Do I'm not sure how ill feel about it.

Oh my goodness yes! They're delicious! I wouldn't wait in the DLR line for one though :lmao: I walked past and for the first day thought it was the line for the Tiki Room and was all "wow, these guys like their birds... Then realize it was for the dole whips, people love 'em!

They're so tasty!! How about this! I'll buy one in Sept and we can share! Then if you like it you can get one of your own? Bahah

Haha I love it! I'm already counting down the days!

Hi Katt,
I'm from Calgary too. If you are fan of great pickles then you need to try Keith's Deli in the plaza across Macleod Trail from Chinook Centre. Their sandwiches are awesome too! They've been in business for 37 years, I've been eating there for 30! You mention ordering kids meals so is it ok for adults to do this? regards, Brenda

That's awesome!! I'll have to check it out for the future!! Yeah, it's totally fine, I'm a huge fan of uncrustables too, so I've ordered kids meals pretty much everywhere on property, it's usually totally okay!

Paige and I had finished up half our evening over at Magic Kingdom, Wishes had just ended, and after a quick bathroom break, we decided it was time for some food, and that food was going to be the major treat of the trip! It was time for Casey's!!

We cut into the restaurant using one of the side doors closer to the Crystal Palace and noticed it was pretty crowded, but that wasn't a surprise considering the time of day, especially with the bakery being closed! We did notice that most people would come in the main door, off Main Street and get straight into that line, blocking off all traffic trying to get to either side of the restaurant, so we weaseled our way over to the far side of the place, opposite from where the TV/Cartoons are, and nagged a spot in a not too long line!

This was one of those moments where we took a while deciding because we seriously just wanted all of the food! We did eventually decide to grab some Corn Dog Nuggets each, and a thing of the Nacho's to share!

Corn Dog Nuggets: $4.49

Ball Park Nachos: $7.69

After a quick stop at the toppings bar we headed down Main Street and found a nice little spot to nom down while we waited for the parade to start!

Our nom thoughts?! DELICIOUS CORN DOG NUGGETS YOU ARE MY ONE TRUE LOOOOOVVVEEE!! Like, seriously, if I could swear right now to express just how much I love these things, I would…but this is a family place….and that’s unacceptable…They’re little deep fried goodness that just tastes absolutely amazing. If you like corn dogs, you’ll love these!

The nachos….not so much of a winner, I can’t lie. The put shredded cheese on top, but it wasn’t melted, at all, and that was it, like, there was cheese and chips on the nachos, and we added all the salsa, and the cheese sauce to attempt to make it better but that was unsuccessful. Lol

Casey’s Corner Review
-4/5
-It just gets WAY too crowded in there and it always seems to be busy, which is fine, but I do wish that it was easier to get in and out of! Even at not so busy times of the day, everyone seems to want some hot dogs, lol.
-The nachos just weren’t very good
-Corn dog nuggets however (and the hot dogs they have too) are very, very yummy!
-We would definitely visit again

I believe you all know what's coming when I say that we were in Epcot, and in France, and I stopped for a beverage!

That delicious Grand Marnier slush!! Located in France, you can get either Grand Marnier in orange slush, or Grey Goose Vodka in Lemon Slush. Both are delicious, but I MUCH prefer the GM ones, I've even attempted to re create them in my bar (and for the record, I've also recreated Lefou's Brew!)

These things are amazing, they're sweet, yet strong, and absolutely amazing. I find the line for the stand is never that long, and hey, usually the cast members working are super cute! :lovestruc I would drink them all day in Epcot it if didn't mean trekking all the way around World Showcase every time!!

Grand Marnier Slush Review
-5/5
-Stand is never that busy
-Drink is amazing
-Sweet, yet strong, you can still taste the booze, but it's not overpowering (like the margaritas can be!)
-A really nice break from the heat
-They go down fast so be careful!

Would I go again: OF COURSE!
