So sorry I didn't update yesterday! We had plans to leave for Pigeon Forge at 6:45. We had the alarm set up to wake us up with plenty of time to spare. Alarm didn't go off and we didn't get up until 5:45. ARG!! So I didn't have time to update.

Anyway, we went to the Apple Barn yesterday so I didn't have to cook :)

Today we are going out somewhere, just don't know where.

Well, Friday night we ran errands, and DH was craving a giant grinder from a local grinder shop, so I had a Meatball and cheese, he had a large ( i mean enormous) roast beef. So good.

Yesterday was a busy day. I spent the day at my Moms, and then joined my DH at a neighbors farm. He was running a crew all day, so we had a light supper. I had the rest of my grinder, and DH had ham sandwiches.

I'm not sure about this evening. DH will be out at the neighbors farm all day. I want to cook a turkey on the grill, but I'm not sure if I can find a fresh one today. We'll see when I get to the market.

Crockpot chicken with carrots, onions and celery with Italian seasonings and mashed potatoes. YUM!! A family favorite. I get to smell it cooking all day!

We're going to the end-of-summer-camp reunion service at the cathedral this evening, so the kids can see all their friends. It's followed by a cookout supper. :thumbsup2

I guess I should fix something for lunch since I have dinner off. Maybe I'll fix gyros. I buy the meat frozen at Sams and serve it on flour tortillas with yogurt sauce, onions and tomatoes. My family loves them.

We're going to Olive Garden tonight. I think I'm going to get the Sicilian Grilled Shrimp - Grilled garlic-marinated shrimp, served over angel hair pasta with fresh tomatoes, basil and zucchini tossed in a garlic-butter sauce.

Rachel Ray's cajun burgers and garlic smahed potatoes :thumbsup2 Probably some local corn, too :sunny:

Usually, DSis posts this, but since she hasn't...we had the usual family Sunday meal. We had grilled striped bass with mustard sauce, Mom's famous eggplant sticks, sauteed squash with thyme, green beans with basil and a crispy potato pancake, which DSis and I agree was disappointing. It wasn't crispy enough, but that was because the fish cooked much quicker than expected this week.

We had grilled chicken breast marinated in garlic and herbs along with potatoes and onions cooked on the grill and corn on the cob. We started with crostini with fresh tomatoes, garlic basil and mozzerella cheese. Yum!

Tonight we are having homemade vegetable soup. I am going to make it early in the day and put it in the fridge for tonight since it's going to be so hot (I want winter to get here quick!!). I normally make cornbread for this but I am not heating the oven to 450 for 18 minutes. Blech!!

I'm going to make some grilled chicken breasts that have been maranating in some smoked pablano pepper salad dressing. As a side I'm going to have grilled squash and zuccini and some Southwest Chipotle pasta salad.

BTW has anyone seen those really neat box meals at Target? They have box meals for really fun sides like the Southwest Chipotle pasta, and many others.

For tonight I have the pork roast, potatoes, & carrots with the spiced cider/water over it, that someone posted previously, cooking in my crockpot. My DD said it already smells yummy, so am looking forward to it. I love my crockpot--so nice to walk in the door from work & have almost nothing to do to put dinner on the table!

Crockpot has BBQ country ribs in it, potato salad and deviled eggs already made and barbeque beans- cupcakes for dessert!

My homemade pizza is on the menu tonight. I'm dreading heating up the kitchen, but I figure I can wait to turn on the oven until the last possible minute and have everyone help me clean up after. I'm not staying in there with the oven turned up high. Yuck. I should have picked a crockpot dish. ;) But pizza does sound good.

I still dont know what's for dinner. Something will come to mind soon enough.

I don't know what the heck I was thinking on a day like this but my oven is on and there is BBQ chicken in there ~ I'm also making a pot of cheesy mashed potatoes and pasta salad (tri-color rotini, black olives, grape tomatoes soaked in Italian dressing and topped with bacon bits). :sunny:

Tonight I am making grilled halibut basted with a vidalia onion marinade, grilled asparagus and tomato, basil and fresh mozzarella salad.
