No tomato soup either? That's what I use.

If it stops raining, I'm going to cool some burgers and hotdogs on the grill. If not, then I think I'll do some chicken on the Foreman grill and make some veggies and rice.

I forgot to mention that the Mu Shu Chicken Wraps I made last night were NOT a hit. We just didn't like the sauce at all. I want to try them again, but maybe use the sauce for the Bourbon Chicken recipe I posted a while back.

Last night I made Spaghetti with a chicken and broccoli alfredo sauce(didn't have enough fettucini for everyone) and garlic bread. No idea WFD tonight...getting sort of bare in the kitchen...

Sadly, no tomato soup either. I'm ashamed of myself. I normally plan out my grocery for every single ingredient, but I totally slipped up on this meal. Oh well.

Dinner will be rushed tonight due to baseball practice (only three more weeks, I think!) We're having honey soy chicken wings, and I haven't figured out the rest yet. Maybe rice and salad.

Tonight we are going to get groceries and pick up Subway. Off night for Lindsay! :)

WFD at your house?

BTW: Is this thread dying? It seems there are fewer and fewer posts everyday :(

Not cooking tonite either. We are supposed to get some wild weather, so after work I am running some quick errands, and then I'm doing nothing in the kitchen.

Everybody have a safe Holiday weekend, and please remember to think of the veterans who have fallen.

Sorry I have not been posting every day! I was sick earlier this week. Catching up...

Wednesday: Nothing. I had a nasty stomach bug and hit the bed right after getting home from work. Yuck!

Thursday: Feeling better, yay! We grilled some chicken marinated in a bourbon-honey sauce, and glazed it with sweet baby rays barbeque sauce at the end. We served that with some seared asparagus and bruschetta rubbed with tomato and garlic.

Tonight I am grilling a ribeye steak for DH (weather permitting!) and serving that with blue cheese butter. I am also grilling up a bunch of wild mushrooms and serving those on rigatoni with some parmesean and lots of black pepper, with a little chicken stock to keep things moist. Also will make some broccoli.

Happy Friday everybody!! :flower:

We've had lots of activites so we've been eating on the run. I haven't known ahead of time what we're having so I haven't posted. I still read this thread every day, though.

I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes yesterday so I'll have to get better at planning meals. Luckily I'll be able to take DS to morning swim practices starting Tuesday so I'll have more evenings at home to prepare dinner.

Liamsaunt, sorry you were sick. Hope you're on the mend now!

Everyone have a safe and happy holiday weekend!

I guess I won't be cooking again tonight or tomorrow or Sunday. DH is on vacation and since we aren't going anywhere he wants to go out to eat a lot. Last night was Asian, tonight is either going to be Mexican or Italian, I think. Tomorrow is a party at a friends house and then Sunday is my cousin's graduation party.

No cooking here today, either! I got called into work this morning unexpectedly so DH picked up a couple of pizzas and some breadsticks on his way home. :sunny:

Pregnancy can be so tough! Take good care of yourself and your baby. :wizard:

Lindsay, don't end this thread. I enjoy reading it every day.

Sorry to post late, but I couldn't decide what to have for dinner. I think that was a good thing because thunderstorms came through just as I would have been grilling. However, I had chosen pasta with fresh tomatoes, basil and mozzarella. Earlier in the week, I planned to have pizza tonight, but with the weather being hot and humid, there was no way I was turning on the oven.

Thanks for the reply. I was just getting concerned that people were losing interest. :)

Don't close/kill the thread! I've been lurking and enjoyed reading all these great posts! OP, I can't believe you update so frequently and you all post so faithfully! Maybe another faithful poster could take over from here if you (LindsayDunn228) feel the need to step away. But what ever you all do, don't let this great thread die. :yay: please :worship:

Well, our meals had not been too interesting lately...however, a couple of nights ago I tried to do Rachel Ray's baked corn hot dogs for NC Beast. I have too to tinker the recipe the next time I try it.
Thursday--- turkey tacos and salad
Friday--- I had leftover taco and salad. NC Beast had the leftover corn dogs and salad.
Sat. night--- I'm thinking hamburgers, fresh squash, and maybe cole slaw made with a vingarette or I will make some black bean chili .

I don't post much because I don't end up making what I say I will, but I still read everyone's posts! Keep 'em coming!

Last night we went out to eat because I was hungry for a good burger. It was raining too hard for me to grill. :(

So, today if it's not raining I'm going to grill some hot sausages and hotdogs.

I've been in the mood for stuffed peppers so tonight I'm trying a recipe from Paula Deen. If it's any good I'll post it. I'm not sure what we'll have on the side yet. Maybe just fresh fruit.

Another vote here to keep this thread alive! :thumbsup2

It's supposed to be an absolutely beautiful day here so we are grilling a rack of spareribs and on the side we'll have fresh corn on the cob and baked potatoes :sunny:
Fresh strawberries for dessert :teeth:

Keeping the WFD thread alive!!!!!!!! :)

Today my dad is taking us up to Calhoun's. It's about an hour away. Looking forward to it :)
