I hope I am not imposing here but I just thought I would add what I am having for dinner tonight.
I have a chick roast in the crock pot when it is done it will be turned into shredded beef~I have been so hungry for it that I decided to make it today.
I also am having a beer cheese fondue (I read it on a thread last night and thought I would give it a try)
I also have a pot of sauce on for tomorrows dinner.

Welcome!!! Your dinner sounds great. Stick around and post with us.:goodvibes

Gotta try and catch up here, sorry if I miss anyone.

Lauren - All I can say to you is, you're the best!

Becky - Great pics as usual!!!!

Steph - Chill out girlfriend, everything's going to be great!:goodvibes

Janice - Looks like the frig decision has been made. Actually I'd forgotten that there is a perfectly good frig just sitting in my Mom & Dad's house. So if this one does die all we have to do is go pick it up!:thumbsup2

Lindsay - Sounds like things are working out well for the four of you, that's great!

Aimee - So glad you're feeling better. I love doing trash TV on Saturdays too. Yep, we're wearing shorts today, go figure.:sad2:

Alex loves Costco's tiramisu, where is the Limoncello cake found bakery? I loved those I spy books. Alex drove me crazy with them he had to have them all.

Anywho, glad you got to spend time with Chris.

I found it in the freezer section not too far from the Tiramisu. I think it may be seasonal for th Holidays so I picked one up to keep on hand. I was glad he came. He is a great young man, he told us that he has all of his Greenside clearances and is not on to his white side clearances. He also heard from Timmy who was having a rare day off. Apparently he has learned his lesson and does not want to feel the sharp side of his sisters tongue so he told me that Timmy said it was quiet and that he was bored. Chris is at least 6' tall and his sister just breaks 5'2" but he still has a healthy respect for her temper :lmao:

Great - my refrigerator/freezer just died tonight. :sad2:

:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1:

Kathy, just call for service. My MIL had the same thing happen, and after she got all the stuff back in it kicked the bucket! Better to have the guy check it before you lug all the food back in.

Due to bad weather, my son's "NYE part for the elderly" had to be postponed until today- so I have to go to my Mom's and make some cheese spread and shrimp dip. I'm trying to lose weight and this will be a challenge. I had lost a pound and a half this morning on the scale so I'm going to cling to that thought at the party.

Every time I hear about your DS party I just want to hug him! GIve him a little one for me, will you? Nice kids who think of their elders that way are few and far between.

I also like the Polynesian or apricot chicken that Lauren was talking about.

I hope I am not imposing here but I just thought I would add what I am having for dinner tonight.

There is no such thing as an intrusion here! Just jump in and chat along with us, and please share some of your recipes. You dinner sounds so good!

Laura- You dinner looked so good! I love French Fries and your Frites make my mouth water every time I see them.

Aimee- I am so glad that you are better, even though your veggies are cooked "well"

Janice- The puppy must have been so much fun to watch :)

Lindsay- I'm glad that the SK's are back on tack with all of you. It must have been hard on Kevin.

Stephanie- I am afraid that I missed you, If you check in have a great trip!

Dinner tonight is going to be whatever is at my SIL birthday party. Buddy is taking DGD for dinner and a movie so he gets out of it ;)

Tomorrow I am going with my sister and her DD to the cometary to visit my Mom. It was a year on Thursday :sad1:, it is funny that the time has gone so fast, it feels like yesterday, it is just weird.

Welcome!!! Your dinner sounds great. Stick around and post with us.:goodvibes

Great - my refrigerator/freezer just died tonight.:sad2:

I'm glad to hear it seems to be working again. I would hate to have to buy a new refrigerator right after Christmas.

I hope I am not imposing here

Never! We welcome newcomers!

Caili did well in her competition, despite being frozen. She got third place in one event and she got second in her freestyle program, so she was very pleased with that. We have to go back tomorrow for her team event, and I know she'll be getting first place in that. I checked the program, and they aren't competing against anybody!

Caili says she wants lambchops for dinner tonight (I REALLY, REALLY don't) so unless I can persuade her otherwise, we are having lambchops, rice and spinach.

Way to go Caili!!!!

Hi spalady! What is a chick roast? It must be your regional name for a cut of meat, but I don't know which. I am just starting to cook with larger pieces of beef and have a lot to learn.

Tonight I am making a roast chicken that I made an herb-lemon-garlic butter for and stuffed that under the skin and all over the outside. I stuck a bunch of herbs and garlic in the cavity too. I have not figured out the sides yet...I usually make mashed potatoes with chicken but we had potatoes yesterday...

Caili did a nice job skating today. She really has fun with it. However, the rink was FREEZING! I still can't really feel my toes. Here is my favorite picture from today:

I'm also making Liam a pepperoni pizza. He is staying here tonight because he doesn't want to go back to Caili's skating tomorrow. Because, you know, it's SOOOOOOOOOO boring! He's been on my wii ever since he got here. We call him Wiiam instead of Liam these days!

I will thanks!! I love to cook so I am always looking here.

Welcome Spalady!

I know I need to catch up more but if I don't get my butt to the store now, I'll never go. I also woke up with a fever blister  and cannot find the stuff to put on it since all the downstairs bathroom stuff is a mess so I need to get something...that darn tingling!

   for all!

Congrats, Caili!!! Great picture!!

Welcome, Spalady! I hope you stick around and post regularly!

Becky - Can I get the recipe for the sausage and white bean pasta? It looks awesome. And how do you do your frites? They look really good too! (Of course ALL of your food looks good!! :worship:)

Congrats to Calli!!! :cool1: :cheer2:

Y'all, this recipe was very tasty and low calorie too! It is also very quick, I fixed it in about 15 minutes.

This sounds really good. I took a tenderloin out of the freezer for dinner tomorrow and I think we'll do this with it!

Welcome spalady - come and post often!

Dinner tonight is at DS/DIL's house; we're doing junk food and watching whatever team is playing football. ;)

I'm sorry ~ its not chick roast its chuck roast.

You've got to try Glynis' crockpot roast recipe! It's a regular for all of us here, your family will love it!

Love Caili's pic!!!!!

We're having Mangotinis right now, they're soooooo good!:thumbsup2

Lauren - Did I tell you how much we loved the kabobs from Omaha Steaks? I just re-ordered some along with some steaks. Their 50% off sale ends today I think.

Nancy, I am glad that you got to see Chris...extra    fpr you my friend.

Aimee, I am going to try this this week! Can't wait!

Lauren - All I can say to you is, you're the best!

Ditto, my friend.

We are doing this tomorrow...I am not the greatest Giants fan but will watch them tomorrow.

I will second the pot roast. Tom (DH) declared it his favorite meal today when we were having left overs for lunch...he said it was the best and I didn't even make gravy out of the juices or mash potatoes...we just had the potatoes that I threw in the pot....easy peasy lemon squeezy in my book! :thumbsup2

I thought about the kabobs a couple days ago and thought you didn't like them so I didn't say anything...did you add anything to them? I think I did them with the regular marinade that was on them and then did them once with Sweet Baby Rays.

OK, back to unpacking groceries...anyone else hate this job?

Kat, we are joining you for a drink...we are having Diet Mountain Dew and vodka...dieting this week! ;) :thumbsup2

I didn't even do the SBR, we ate them with just the marinade they came in. They are awesome!!!:thumbsup2

The chicken kabobs and brats were pretty good too. :thumbsup2

Now don't go tempting me to spend more money. Honestly, have you tried all of their steaks? We branched out from the filets and sirloins on our last order and got the bone-in strips, they are incredible. So today I ordered kabobs, filets and we're trying the rib-eyes!!:woohoo:

No I haven't so I guess I gotta go check out the sales! I wouldn't go out of my way to order the chicken kabobs or the brats...only if they are in an incredible package but they are good (for reference ;) ).
